The Silmarillion Awards Begins Now!

Fantasy Oscars, the Silmarillion Awards, Silmarils, LOTR, Lord of the rings, event, reading event, book event, fantasy event, oscars event, awards ceremony, awards event, gold, green, dragon, epic fantasy, adventure, authorblog, blogger, writer, reader, fellowship of the ring, Welcome to the first ever Silmarillion Awards! The Silmarillion Awards have been created by DJ Edwardson and Jenelle Schmidt as a way to honor J.R.R. Tolkien as the Father of Modern Fantasy, open up a discussion about some of our other favorite fantasy works, and to have a ton of fun this summer.

Thisteam is made up ofbloggers and authors who will each be hosting one of these awards, called “Silmarils,” on their blogs towards the end of July.

May was easier-going than April. After that fall, myfoot is doing much better now; almost back to normal except for the injured bump on the side, lol.
May and June so far have been all about getting my WIP ready, as I’d really like to publish it next spring. This includes drafting up a book cover and creating a website for the series. Two tasks that are proving more difficult than I anticipated. I do have some ideas now, but they will have to be tested first before anything is finalized. It...

Polyphemus In The Sunset #WeeklySmile

The evening was warm, and I stood out on the deck watching sunset colors tinge wisps of clouds pink. Something flew over the roof as I eyedthe sky. Large wings flapped, it must be a bird. But something wasn’t right, the way it glided and its wings curved, reminding me of something from a fairytale.
