E.E. Rawls is the product of a traveling family, who even lived in Italy for 6 years. She loves exploring the unknown, whether it be in a forest or in the pages of a book, and finding a mushroom is like finding a hidden treasure.

Since childhood, she's been fascinated by fairy tales and folklore, which helped to inspire her to begin creating her own stories.

Runs on coffee and delicious things.

Admiring artwork, nature, browsing through myths and legends while I take a break from writing feeds my mind's imagination, and praying for guidance on how the story should go. In addition to this, I make time to do the other thing I enjoy as much as writing, which is reading! Reading forces me to leave my stories alone for a while, giving me that much needed break.(less)

Each poem and each short story in this collection has its own inspiration, which I talk about in the preface of my book. Many of the settings were inspired by my time living in Italy and traveling across Europe, settings such as long-forgotten castle ruins, and Medieval, grand cemeteries. One poem is a sad "goodbye" for the day I had to leave and come back to America, leaving the life I once had and people behind. Life in general has also been an inspiration, what I've learned about human nature, and life's emotional and physical struggles. Never to give up, but to persevere.
What has inspired me most, however, is the way in which God has worked in my life. He is the only way I live and thrive, and I hope to share what I have learned of faith and compassion with readers.
I also have a section of difficult riddles for readers. The idea was first inspired when I was young after reading the Hobbit. Golem asked Bilbo a series of riddles, and that grew in me a fascination for them! I started writing my own, and would give them as little presents to my mother every year on her birthday. I placed the best ones in the book, along with a few lovely poems my mother had written.(less)

I am thrilled because one of my favorite fantasy artists, Adele Lorienne, has created an adult coloring book, and it’s the most gorgeous thing I’ve ever seen, so unique compared to other coloring books out there. Have a look at her sample pages HERE.

But here’s the thing! The coloring book is on Kickstarter and will only be created if the $ goal is met within the next two weeks. So, if you or s...

“When introverts go to church, we crave sanctuary in every sense of the word, as we flee from the disorienting distractions of twenty-first-century life. We desire to escape from superficial relationships, trivial communications and the constant noise that pervade our world, and find rest in the probing depths of God's love.”
