At Spacefreighters Lounge and Romance Cooks

I'm over on the Spacefreighters Lounge today, with a post about skin colour - things that can affect it and how scientists are working on a way to change our skin, hair and eye colour with something as simple as a tablet.I also have a recipe up at Romance Cooks here with a luxury leek and potato soup. Romance Cooks is a fabulous new site where you can check out some tasty food and find some new books too. :)

Aristeia - Guest Post by Wayne Basta

Please welcome science fiction author Wayne Basta to the blog, as he kicks off the tour for his upcoming release ARISTEIA: A LITTLE REBELLION, the second book in the series.

Aristeia: A Little RebellionUnlike her brother, Saracasi Ocaitchi has always known that her loyalties belong to the ideals of freedom and democracy, not the government of the Alliance, and that protecting those ideals would require a fight. But now that the rebellion she has dreamed about has finally begun, she must come t...

The Rasmus - live

The 21st May 2012 now holds a special place in my heart. It's the day I finally got to see my favourite band live at last. Woo hoooooo! After missing their UK concert in 2009, I never expected them to ever come back. They aren't huge here. So as soon as their tour was announced at the start of this year and with a London stop listed, I hung on the computer waiting to buy tickets and shrieking in frustration as I saw others getting theirs early!

For those of you who don't know it already, I'm a...

In the meantime...

There's no #sixsunday post from me this week, but I was interviewed by the very lovely Lorna Suzuki over on her site here. Find out how I work round writer's block, my plans for the next five years, and how I spend my free time. There's also a new review for Keir up at the Hearts and Stars review site here.

"Overall, KEIR is a great story, even if I wanted to bang Quin and Keir's head together over the UST, and I highly recommend it to lovers of science fiction and fantasy."

One Year Published - The Bones of the Sea

So, the book tour is over and my first novel is 'out there'. Woo hoo! I've been lucky to achieve so much in such a relatively short time, bearing in mind that Keir, as an entire novel, is not yet three years old.
But today, another little project of mine has hit a milestone. My scifi short story - The Bones of the Sea - has been up on Smashwords for exactly a year now. The whole thing was an experiment. For one I haven't written short stories since I was at school, so this was a real challenge...
