Lyrical's Scaretober Sale!

Until the end of October my publisher Lyrical Press Inc. has 50% off their entire catalog, with books available in all digital formats no matter what kind of ereader you possess. This means you can buy my science fiction romance Keir for just $2.50 from here.

Outcast. Cursed. Dying. Is Keir beyond redemption?

For Keirlan de Corizi--the legendary 'Blue Demon' of Adalucien--death seems the only escape from a world where his discolored skin marks him as an oddity and condemns him to life as a pari...

Six Sentence Sunday #61

Hello! Welcome to another #sixsunday snippet. I'm continuing with my upcoming release Terms & Conditions Apply. Marie has been offered the services of one of the resident avatars, but she doesn't seem all that impressed despite its appearance...

Cover by Danielle Fine
This particular avatar had been crafted into a ruggedly handsome, if stereotypically human, male. Thick blond hair left a shade too long framed his face perfectly; darker brows arched over eyes the most glorious shade of deep...

Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday #51

Hello, welcome to another #sffsat snippet. Continuing with Marie as she struggles to find a way home, but despite her demanding to be shown off the space station the avatar offering his services isn't being dissuaded...

Cover by Danielle Fine
“I can do that,” it assured her. “But the next starship isn’t due for another hour. Let me take you somewhere more comfortable to wait.” The smoothness of its voice calmed the turbulent sea roiling in her chest. She licked dry lips. “I could do with a...

Is A Clone Your Sibling Or Your Child?

I've been working on a science fiction romance titled Tethered, a story that sprang on me Christmas Day after a discussion with friends about underused mythical creatures and the potential use in scifi. Yeah, that's a typical conversation for me. :-P I nicknamed Tethered my 'succubi' story, not realizing succubi have in fact been well used in speculative fiction. I hadn't seen or read any, and once the idea jumped me I couldn't leave it alone.

Ten months down the l...

Six Sentence Sunday #60

Hello, welcome to another #sixsunday snippet. I'm continuing with Terms & Conditions Apply (you can read last week's here), and after cursing the boyfriend who dumped her on the space station, Marie is getting a new offer...

Cover by Danielle Fine

"No intention of mine," she snapped. Not now. Not ever!
"Perhaps I can be of service?"
Marie stared at him...at it. She'd heard about the VA avatars but never been so close to one.

Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday #50

Welcome to this week's #sffsat snippet! I'm continuing with Terms & Conditions Apply, and Marie has just rejected the services of one of the space station's avatars despite its attractive appearance...  Cover by Danielle Fine She jumped up and tried to shove past him, but the dense composition of an avatar meant she only jarred her arm and had to sidle past in an embarrassingly servile fashion. He made no attempt to stop her, and she headed blindly down the nearest access co...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]></div>

Six Sentence Sunday #59

Hello! Welcome to another #sixsunday post. I've been out of circulation for a while, and thought I'd return with a snippet of my up-coming release, a science fiction romance short story titled Terms & Conditions Apply. Be warned, there is bad language at the start as my female MC Marie isn't happy. Enjoy!

"Fuck you, Jaisen Ty-Reen!"
"Was that a statement of intent, or purely a curse?"
Marie jerked her gaze upward to meet that of the man before her, then reassessed her first thought. This w...

Science Fiction Fantasy Saturday #49

“Perhaps I can be of service?”Marie stared at him…at it. She’d heard about the VA avatars but never been so close to one. She’d learned from the space station’s blurb that the main AI took the form of a young Indian wom...

Blue Nebula - Interview and Giveaway with Diane Dooley

Please welcome multi-published author Diane Dooley to the blog, with a cool giveaway!

Please tell us a bit about yourself:I’m a genre hack writer and proud of it! I write romance, science fiction and horror. I often find these genres bleeding over into each other as I write and a lot of my stuff is imbued with dark humor. I’m from the Isle of Jersey in the Channel Islands originally, grew up in Scotland, and currently live in the United States. I’ve got two very naughty children, an equa...
