Animated Covers - Yay or Nay?

My cover and artwork designer Danielle Fine is always trying to come up with something new. I've seen posts on adding music to ebooks, and a device to be worn that would let readers feel things from the book - I guess a rumble or shake for earthquakes or something.
Gifs aren't a new thing. But I've seen plenty of complaints about them and/or their overuse. They can be very distracting, or in some cases almost blinding!

Ta dah! Yes, I'm baaaack, and so is my blog with a little bit of a revamp. What do you think of the new banner? Once again, that's the stellar work of my editor and cover artist Danielle Fine. You should go check her out! The banner is part of a shiny poster Dani has created for me for BristolCon on the 26th September, a mere 19 days from now. Eeep! I'm not ready!!
