Birmingham & Montgomery, I'm on my Way!

Sorry for the short post today--I'm hitting the road again. I'll be at the Barnes & Noble at the Summit in Birmingham, AL, tonight at 7 p.m., then zipping down I-65 to Montgomery for an appearance at the Alabama Book Festival in Old Town (at the church) at 10 a.m. Saturday. If you're around these areas, hope you'll stop by and say hello! DJ has infused some gemstone bracelets with magic, and I'll be giving those away...yeah...bribes.

There's still time to enter the giveaways this week (scr...

Around the Web...Royal Street

I really will get back on schedule soon. Am finally back home for three days before heading out again. But coming up the rest of the week, I have a couple of great author interviews & giveaways with urban fantasy author Gabi Stevens and paranormal romance author Elisabeth Naughton, so stay tuned!

I'm wandering around the Web today.

First, I'm at Castles and Guns, talking about the highs and lows of the new book release so far. You can find it HERE.

New Releases April 14-20 and Reader's Choice C*ontest

After a couple of crazy weeks filled with new releases, it’s kinda quiet this week, mostly with YA paranormals. Seems like I’m kind of drawn to White Horse this week, mostly because of the fab cover. (Speaking of which, go over to The Quillery and vote for Royal Street as debut cover for the month!)
What do you want to read? Leave a comment and tell me, and I’ll draw one name to win his or her choice. International, as always. And if the book is in a series you haven’t started, you can always...

In Dallas? I'm signing at 2 p.m.--and I Haz W*nners

That's today, Sunday, April 15, at A Real Bookstore in Fairview in case this gets Tweeted later. So if it's after 2 p.m. on Sunday, sorry I missed you!

OH, and if you have time, pop over to The Quillery, where they're having a contest for favorite April debut book cover. Yeah, it's a shameless beg. What can I say?

This is the last stop on the first leg of the book tour, then I'm headed for a loooooong drive home tomorrow and a few days of life in the real world before heading out again on the 2...

Ready, Set, Launch--Royal Street

Had a great time in New Orleans, and thanks to the folks at Tor Books and Garden District Book Shop in NOLA for the launch event. It was great to see some old friends and make some new ones. Here are a few shots from the launch. I'll put more up on Facebook when I get home.

In the meantime, I'm in Houston! I'll be at Katy Budget Books on Fry Road off the Katy Fwy tonight at 6 p.m., and tomorrow night I'll be at Murder by the Book on Bissonnet at 6:30 p.m. If you're in the Houston area, hope yo...

Royal Street Online and On the Streets

Yesterday was a whirlwind of get ready for launch, go to launch, and a big celebration at Commander's Palace afterward. I'll do an update on that when I get to Houston tonight!

In the meantime, I'm over at The Quillery today, and Sally is giving away a copy of Royal Street. So if you haven't won one yet and want to head over HERE.

The oh-so-fab Marta Acosta is also running a contest at the Vampire Wire blog HERE. Marta, who's the author of the Casa Dracula series, has a YA book, Dark Companion,...

It's Release Day! Back in NOLA

First, I'm HERE, guest-blogging over at Louisa Bacio's blog today, talking about five things I think (I hope) makes Royal Street a little different in the crowded urban fantasy genre.

Because.. After forever, Royal Street is finally out! I'll be posting launch-signing event pics tomorrow (the event is tonight), but on Monday, I spent the day driving Plaquemines Parish, just southeast of New Orleans, looking for merpeople. Well, okay, I was doing some fact-checking for book two, River Road, whi...
