Scene Snippet Sunday...And Did You #Win a Book This Week?

Welcome to a late edition of scene-snippet Sunday. I had a harrowing day-job week, which is summed up by my latest digital journal entry. I'm posting these on Pinterest, by the way, although "irregular" doesn't begin to cover it. But I'm trying to do one or two a week. "Pecked to death by ducks" means not being able to meet deadlines or get the stuff done I need to do because of so many interruptions from people needing me to drop what I'm doing so I can help them with something. Peck. Peck....

Q&A with Paige Cuccaro and G*veaway

Happy Friday at last!  Today, please help me welcome author Paige Cuccaro to Preternatura.  Paige is here today as part of her virtual book tour celebrating the release of her latest book, Heaven and Hellsbane (Hellsbane #2), which was published on August 27 by Entangled Select Publishing.

Writing was never a foregone conclusion for Paige. She once had dreams of being a psychologist, a pediatrician, a school teacher, a photojournalist, a bartender, and/or an EMT. And then...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>

A quick note: Thanks again to everyone who followed the Elysian Fields online tour for the past month! There will be one or two more flash-fiction pieces in the next couple of weeks, so stay tuned. And I'll have the full flash fiction archive links up later today. I should be able to announce the tour prize winners by the end of the week--fingers crossed that one of you guys wins! There were more than 10,000 entries (holy cow, Batman).

Today's the last chance to enter for the big Elysian Fields tour prizes, and get a new flash fiction as well! I'm at Fangtastic Books today with "Nix That," a longer story set in the Sentinels world. Stop by, and enjoy a visit with DJ, Jean Lafitte (briefly) and some nixes.

It is my great pleasure to welcome author Laura Bickle to Preternatura today! Laura is here today to talk about her latest release, The Outside (The Hallowed Ones #2).

Laura Bickle has worked in the unholy trinity of politic...

Scene-Snippet Sunday from the World of Elysian Fields (And Weekly Winners and Chicken Dinners)

Well, something like that.
Yesterday sucked, with a seven-hour stint on the day job without a break, and zero writing time with a deadline looming. Here's my journal page for the day. It kind of sums it up.

Today shall be a better day. I hereby declare it. Eh. We'll see.
Anyway, I don't have new Sentinels book stuff to snippet you with today, so I'll snippet you with a teaser for Tuesday's Flash-Fiction, which will be running on Fang-tastic Books. It's a longer story than the others, and i...

What to Give the Fairy Who Has Everything? Paula Millhouse Has a List (and a Book G*veaway)

We're in the home stretch of the Elysian Fields tour with about a week to go. Today, I'm over at Reading Reality , theorizing about why New Orleans is considered such a hotbed of paranormal activity. Come on over and leave a comment, and enter to win the iPad and other tour prizes--not many chances to enter left, and I'd sure like to see one of my blog readers win!

And thanks to Doctor's Notes today, for the awesome review! You can also enter for the tour prizes at this stop!

Urban Fantasy and Paranormal Romance with M.V. Freeman and W*n a Book

Happy Thursday! Normally, I'd be thinking "one more day until the weekend," but if you've read this blog very long and have heard me whine and moan about football season, well...it's football season. So I have seven hours on the day-job on Saturday, where I do the important job of directing inebriated football fans to restrooms. Which means cramming two days' worth of writing and the week's grocery shopping into Sunday. Ugh. I hate football season.

But I don't hate Feeling Fictional! I have a...

Q&A with Juli D. Revezzo author of Passion's Sacred Dance and W*n a Book

It's a busy day around the blogosphere as the Elysian Fields Tour enters its final week!

First, DJ's on the hot seat over at author EJ Stevens' From the Shadows website today, answering some of the questions Alex evaded, er, answered last week. DJ's a bit more forthcoming.

I also have an interview today at author Marsha Moore's blog, Illusions of Intimacy, talking about the Axeman versus Jean Lafitte, and other mysteries of life. You can enter for the tour prizes here.

I made...<![endif]--><!--[if gte mso 9]>
