Talking Value, Colt Questions, and Self-worth

Today I’m talking about something near and dear to me, self-worth, and treating ourselves, and For the Love of Dixie. All too many times we get caught up in schedules, expectations, and doing for others. We neglect ourselves little by little until we’re at the very bottom of the care list. We’ve forgotten our self-worth in the noise of business so prevalent in our world. I’m always reminding myself to take time out and nourish myself, creatively, spiritually, and physically. It’s one of the main reasons I started the blog, and began to receive boxes. They’re my time for me time alarm that goes off periodically throughout the week.

Review

Tantalizing, provocative, and witty, Devil’s Fire is one hell of a follow-up to The Devils’ Gate. Mr. Volley has a way with words. I laughed, I sympathized, and I stayed up way too late turning pages. *laughs. She will suck you into her world and never let you go. Dark, twisted, and all-consuming the connection between Abi and Jack take her down a spiral that has her friends worried. Hell, I was worried. I don’t want to ruin the read, but it’ll make you think, and ask yourself questions. It’ll remind some of us of that one, maybe they got away, or perhaps we let them go, because they weren’t the best for us, but we still carry around that fire they started deep in our souls and were changed for knowing them.

Licking her wounds after the debacle Abi comes home and I believe rediscovers who she is and who she wants to be. She got worked over in the first book. Parts of her came to life, she didn’t’ know existed, an a confident man with wealth and power enchanted her. It threw her off kilter. I think book two is about her taking back her own power and making choices for herself. It makes for an intriguing journey.

I’ve seen an insane amount of growth in her writing for this series, and I can’t wait to see what she comes up with for book three.

Change, Grow, Learn

Today is all about change and growth. I’m always striving to be the best me I can be, and man that takes a lot of work. Recently I’d been feeling blocked, sluggish, and bogged down, so I made some major changes. In the spirit of transition, the Vlog is new and improved as well. We’ve invested in some rad new lighting as well as a few other things you’ll see in following episodes. I have an unveiling for the Sapphire Soul box today, which is perfect for getting in touch with your inner self and ushering in change and growth as it presents new things.

Change is always a little bit scary even when it’s something we’ve anticipated, worked for , and prayed for. Maybe it’s because we’re creatures of habit. What are you looking to change in your life? Have you made a large adjustment recently? How are you doing with it?

Welcome to another Vlog dedicated to Japanese snacks. I love the culture the flavors, and the packaging. I’m not kidding their labels are adorable! Very different from the things we eat, they offer up interesting flavors, textures, and allow me to live out my teenage dreams. I was all about Japan growing up, but my bank account wasn’t such that I could indulge. See there are some fun things about growing up. *laughs.
