Pois é, estou a trabalhar muito neste momento. E no quê, perguntam vocês. A resposta é simples: estou a fazer uma última revisão do texto de “Perdidos”.Conforme tinha dito antes, no início de maio enviei o manuscrito a uma professora de Português que me tinha dado aulas para que o corrigisse. Pedi-lhe que mo devolvesse até setembro, mas, até agora, nada. Enviei-lhe um e-mail a pedir que, mesmo que não tivesse corrigido tudo, me enviasse o que tinha visto, porém não me respondeu. Tendo em conta que estou a ficar apertada em termos de prazos se quero ter o livro cá fora por altura do Natal (ah, esqueci-me de dizer que vou optar novamente pelo print-on-demand), esta terça-feira dei início à última revisão do texto. E olhem que fiquei chateada comigo mesma. Já li e reli o manuscrito pelo menos seis vezes e estou sempre a encontrar erros e a mudar coisas. Chiça, que parece que não atino com o produto final!Assim sendo, nas próximas semanas não vou andar tanto pela Internet. Talvez o blogue sofra um bocadinho com isso, mas é por um bom motivo. Vou tentar continuar a ler e a dar a minha opinião aqui, no entanto isso pode não acontecer com tanta frequência. Também vou tentar manter-vos a par do que se está a passar com o “Perdidos”. Espero que corra tudo pelo melhor!

Yep, I'm working really hard right now. On what, you might ask. The answer is simple: I'm doing a final revision of the Portuguese version of "Lost Ones".As I said before, in early May I sent the manuscript to a former Portuguese teacher of mine for her to correct it. I asked her to return it to me until September, but so far, nothing. I sent her an email asking that, even if she hadn’t checked all of it, to send me what she had seen, but she didn’t reply.Given that I'm getting tight in terms of time if I want to have the book out by Christmas time (oh, I forgot to say that I’m going for print-on-demand again), this Tuesday I started my latest revision of the text. And, oh boy, I was upset with myself. I've read and reread the manuscript at least six times and I'm always finding mistakes and things to change. Jeez, it seems I can’t get the final product right!
Therefore, the next weeks I won’t be online that much. Perhaps the blog will suffer a bit with this, but it's for good reason. I'll try to continue to read and give my opinion here, however this might not happen so often. I'll also try to keep you abreast of what's happening with "Lost Ones". I hope it all goes for the better!

OPINIÃOLi este livro entre os dias 23 e 24 de setembro de 2012. Acho que foi a primeira vez que li 350 páginas de um livro num dia – bati o meu record pessoal, lol! É bom superarmo-nos a nós mesmos e por um livro que adorei. Já que estou no campo das estreias, esta vai ser também a primeira vez que dou cinco estrelas a todos os livros de uma série, ou seja, “Foretold” recebe cinco estrelas tal como os volumes anteriores da série Demon Trappers. Jana Oliver é mesmo uma das minhas escritoras favoritas; tenho de experimentar outras obras da sua autoria.“Foretold” é aquilo que chamo o livro de “atar as pontas”, isto é, resolve-se tudo o que há para resolver de modo a que o passado fique lá atrás e as personagens possam progredir rumo a um futuro mais promissor. E o final não podia ter sido melhor, principalmente para Riley e Beck; há muito que ansiava por que as coisas resultassem.É difícil criticar um livro que adorei. O que mudaria? Nada. Gostei do equilíbrio estabelecido entre algo tão mundano como o passado conturbado de Beck, e o retorno da eterna batalha contra as forças demoníacas. Quanto ao facto desta série ser YA e, na opinião de muitos, não para a minha idade… bem, “whatever”! Eu gosto de YA e vou continuar a ler livros deste género =P
REVIEWI read this book between September 23th and 24th, 2012. I think it was the first time I read 350 pages of a book in one day – I beat my personal record, lol! It's good to beat ourselves and for a book that I loved. Since I’m in the field of firsts, this will also be the first time that I rate five stars every book in a series, ie "Foretold" gets five stars as the previous volumes of the Demon Trappers series. Jana Oliver is really one of my favorite writers; I have to try other works of her authorship.
"Foretold" is what I call the "knotting the ends” book, ie resolves all there is to resolve, so that the past stays behind and the characters can move towards a promising future. And the ending could not have been better, especially for Riley and Beck; I have has long yearned for things to result between them.
It's hard to criticize a book that I loved. What would I change? Nothing. I liked the balance established between something as mundane as the troubled past of Beck, and the return of the eternal battle against the demonic forces.
As for the fact that this series is YA and, in the opinion of many, not for my age... well, whatever! I like YA and I will continue to read books of this genre =P

OPINIÃOConcluí a leitura deste livro a 17 de setembro de 2012 e dou-lhe quarto estrelas, muitoooo perto de cinco.A autora criou um cenário apocalíptico muito bem conseguido, em que os zombies são o maior pesadelo dos poucos sobreviventes.Gostei de Wisteria: é humana, tem os seus medos, mas também é uma personagem forte que não se deixa ir abaixo e está sempre pronta a lutar se essa for a única saída. Bach também é interessante e gostei de o ver lutar por Wisteria depois de ultrapassar os seus preconceitos. Admito que gostaria de os ver triunfar enquanto casal, embora calcule que deverão encontrar ainda muitos obstáculos.Quanto à Família, gostaria de saber mais sobre eles e o seu funcionamento enquanto sociedade; talvez a autora fale mais sobre isso no segundo volume. Suspeito igualmente que Felip deve regressar neste livro, mas é melhor não me tentar antecipar. Com tudo isto, é claro que pretendo ler o segundo volume. Aliás, “Wisteria” foi um livro caído do céu. Vinha de uma série de leituras a que dei uma classificação baixa e estava mesmo a precisar de algo um pouco melhor. Foi uma lufada de ar fresco. REVIEWI finished reading this book on September 17, 2012 and I rate it four stars, reallyyyyyy close to five.The author has created a very successful doomsday scenario, in which the zombies are the worst nightmare of the few survivors.I liked Wisteria: she is human, has her fears, but she’s also a strong character who doesn’t go down easily and is always ready to fight if that is the only way out. Bach is also interesting and I liked to see him fighting for Wisteria after overcoming his prejudices. I admit I'd like to see them succeed as a couple, although I figure they should still find many obstacles on their way.As for The Family, I’d like to know more about them and their functioning as a society; perhaps the author will talk more about that in the second volume. I also suspect that Felip should return on that book, but I better not try to anticipate. With all this, of course I want to read the second volume. In fact, "Wisteria" was a book that fell from the sky. I’d come from a series of lectures that I gave a low score and I really needed something a little better. Olá, Bisi. Diga-nos o que o levou a escrever "Glicínias" e como é que surgiu com a ideia.Primeiro, obrigado por me teres no teu blogue e por leres o meu livro. Sempre gostei de filmes pós-apocalípticos e séries televisivas como “Omega man”, "Logan's run” e “Jericho”. Queria contar a história de pessoas numa comunidade após um grande evento e como essa cidade poderia funcionar.
Qual é a sua parte favorita da história?A minha parte favorita da história é uma das últimas cenas, quando Wisteria e os seus amigos estão numa colina. Não posso dizer mais sem estragar o final. Outras partes que adoro são cada cena em que Bach e Wisteria estão juntos, mas especialmente quando estão no telhado em Londres.
Que personagem foi mais difícil criar?Bach foi a personagem mais difícil de desenvolver. Praticamente tive que reescrevê-lo para torná-lo mais de acordo com quem conhecemos agora. Há tanta coisa sobre ele e o seu mundo que não sabemos, mas que iremos saber nos livros 2 e 3. Trabalhei para encontrar o equilíbrio entre ele ser ignorante e ser um idiota. E tive de aceitar que ele e Wisteria têm muito que crescer.
Quando sai o segundo livro sair e o que podemos esperar dele?O segundo livro, intitulado “Mosroc”, está previsto sair em novembro. Em “Mosroc”, veremos muito mais sobre o povo de Bach, a Família e o seu reino. Aqui, Wisteria e Bach vão enfrentar a realidade de estarem juntos enquanto seres de mundos diferentes segundo a perspetiva dos brutais Investigadores da Família, chamados Empíricos. Ao mesmo tempo, ela terá de lidar com a agenda em curso de Felip e seus interesses. Haverá um novo tipo de zombie mais perigoso do que os mordedores. Estou a meio do terceiro livro (sem título ainda), mas espero tê-lo cá fora dezembro (faço figas).
Falando sobre si, porque decidiu tornar-se escritora?Eu sempre amei escrever. Comecei a escrever romances quando tinha doze anos, porque eu era fã de Sweet Valley High, mas os meus pais não me compravam os livros. Como não tinha nenhum desses livros para trocar com os meus amigos, fiz uma versão própria desse universo, a que chamei Beach Landers, com as minhas próprias personagens.
Tem editora ou é uma escritora independente?Sou uma escritora independente, porque gosto da liberdade de escrever o que quero, quando eu quero. Isto não significa que não publicaria um através de uma editora, mas por agora é isto que funciona para mim.
Quais são os seus planos para o futuro no que concerne à literatura?Depois de concluir a série Wisteria, vou continuar a trabalhar noutra nova série paranormal para jovens adultos, chamada Unwish (mais sobre isso só mais tarde). Comecei-a, mas não cheguei muito longe. Sou o tipo de escritora que tem três projetos alinhados, por isso até tenho uma ideia da série depois dessa.

Interview with Bisi Leyton, author of “Wisteria”
Hi, Bisi. Tell us what led you to write "Wisteria" and how did you come up with the idea.First thank you for having me on your blog and for reviewing my book. I have always liked post apocalyptic movies and television shows like Omega man, Logan's run and Jericho. I wanted to tell a story of people in a community during following a major event and how that town could work.
What's your favorite part of the story?My favorite part of the story is the one of the last scenes when Wisteria and her friends are on a hill. I can't say anymore without spoiling the ending. Other parts I love are every scene where Bach and Wisteria are together, but especially when they are on the roof in London.
Which character was harder to create?Bach was the hardest Character to develop. I pretty much had to rewrite him to make him more in line who we know now. There is so much about him and his world we do not know in the book, but will learn in book 2 and 3. I worked to strike the balance between him being ignorant and he being a jerk. And I've come to accept he and Wisteria have a lot of growing up to do.
When does the 2nd book come out and what can we expect from it?The Second Book is titled Mosroc and it's due to be released in November. In Mosroc, we will see a lot more of Bach's people, the Family, and their realm. Here Wisteria and Bach face the reality of being together, while being from two different worlds in the face of the brutal Family Investigators called empirics. At the same time she has to deal with Felip's ongoing agenda and interest. There'll be a new type of zombie more dangerous than the biters. I'm half way through the third book (not title yet), but I'm hoping to get that out December, fingers crossed. 
Talking about you, why did you decide to become a writer?I have always loved writing. I started writing novels when I was twelve because I was a fan of Sweet Valley High, but my parents won't buy me the books. Since I didn't have any of those books to trade with my friends, I just made up my own version of that universe and called it Beach Landers with my own characters.
Do you have a publisher or are you an indie writer?I am indie writer because I like the freedom of writing what I want, when I want. That doesn't mean I won't one publish, it is just right now this works for me.
What are your plans for the future in what comes to literature?Once the Wisteria series is completed, I'll continue working another YA Paranormal new series called Unwish (more on that later). I've started on it, but I've not gotten very far. I'm the kind of writer who has three projects lined up, so I even have an idea of the series after that.
