Jessica E. Subject’s Weekly Writing Update ~ New Project and New Releases!
Hello! Can you believe it’s already the end of September? Yes, it’s definitely beginning to feel and look like autumn here. This past week, I’ve had to deal with a skunk roaming the neighborhood, which is not good when I have a big, hairy dog. Thank goodness neither of us have been sprayed. And now onto the writing update…
Cosmic Sutra is now available as part of the First Ladylove anthology. You can find this anthology at All Romance, Amazon, Kobo and Smashwords. Thank you to all those who helped make it a category bestseller at All Romance!
Click here to read an interview with Victoria, the main character.
Cosmic Desires releases this Saturday, and is still available for a special pre-order price of 99¢ USD at All Romance, Amazon, Coffee Time Romance, Google Play, or Kobo. Thank you to all those who helped make this box set a category bestseller at All Romance! You all rock! You can also get the print right now from CreateSpace, Amazon US and Amazon UK.
Alien Attraction is with my editor. I’m aiming for a release date of October 26.
New project ~ IT HAS A NAME! So, I’ve decided to call my new series Galactic Defenders. Huge thanks to my hubby, Sharon, and Tawania, for helping me to decide on the name! The first book in the series will focus on Bryce, and will be named after him. Here’s the tagline… They were trained to fight aliens, not to fall in love. I only have 100 words written, but now that I have the majority of it plotted out, it will be written much faster.
Beneath the Starry Sky in audio is on tour. Only one more stop to go. You can find the schedule here. Also, the ebook is on sale for 99¢ at Amazon and All Romance for the duration of the tour.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK ~ I will write more of Bryce’s story.
TV Mention – I watched some good movies on Netflix, and did not finish some others that sounded good, but weren’t. Netflix Canada has added a new season of The Walking Dead, so that’s what I’m watching now. We also have an antenae to get the local station, and I loved the series premieres for both Blindspot and Quantico. Also enjoyed the season premiere of Castle. Looking forward to more new things this week.
So, what are you up to this week? Any recommendations?

#SFRMonday: Brought to their knees by a Clone ~ BOOK OF EVA by @Paxton_Summers #scifirom
Please welcome Paxton Summers, who is here to tell us more about her Clone series.
CLONE: Book of Eva
by Paxton Summers
When a world leader’s daughter meets a clone, a doomed love affair begins.
In the year 2087, a great war erupts upon the face of the planet, destroying most of the earth. Mankind turns to cloning to survive. Over one hundred-fifty years later, the planet is divided into two factions. There is a shortage of food and an abundance of illness. Most live on the scraps of the wealthy, who wallow in excess.
This is the world Olivia Braun inherits. Sick from birth, she wakes up from surgery with a new heart, only to discover she is the youngest president of Aeropia, an empire that has created and used clones to maintain their position of power since the bombs dropped, but her rise to power was no accident and the fall won’t be either. Before her transplant, Olivia conspired with a clone to free those Aeropia had enslaved.
Now, enemies lie in wait, hidden among the population. Even friends can no longer be trusted, and Olivia must make a choice that will decide the fate of the free world. Before her tale of corruption, forbidden love and war ends, the mighty will be brought to their knees.
By a clone.
AVAILABLE OCTOBER 1ST. PRE-ORDER FROM:
The first time I met Axel, a pack of boys were beating him in the garden on my parents’ summer estate. Five of them pummeled him; meaty sounds and grunts followed each punch.
“That’s for telling me I can’t have it.” Slam. A fist flew and another oomph. “Cocksucker.”
“Hold the fucker down,” another said.
“You aren’t so tough. Big dumb fuck. We’ll teach you your place.”
Easy for them to say when it was five to one. I crept up behind them as quietly as I could, not even daring to draw a breath. With my size and lack of physical strength, the element of surprise would be all I had going for me, and it shouldn’t be wasted.
The person they pounded was out of view, hidden behind the bulk of the bullies’ bodies. Even though I couldn’t see him, I knew they were giving him a terrible beating, and that he must be male, for the slurs from their mouths sounded as though he intimidated them.
Each time their fists or boots connected, as they were kicking him, too, a thud ensued. He didn’t speak, choosing silence over screaming for help. The only sounds he made were the occasional grunt or moan, when someone’s knuckles or steel toes connected with his torso.
From the back, I recognized them. Boys from the local village who had no business here. They’d trapped their victim in the hedges, using the thick vegetation to contain him while they delivered the beating, pounding on his ribs, face, and anywhere they could strike. Certainly they would have killed him had I not intervened.
“Stop!” I moved for the cowards. “I’ll report your trespassing to my father.”
They whipped around, and their eyes widened.
Even though they were twice my size, I did not back down. “You have no official business on this estate.”
“Says who?” one of the more stupid lads asked, obviously unaware of who I was. From the looks on his buddies’ faces, at least they weren’t clueless. They vehemently shook their heads at their friend. One even delivered a sharp elbow to the witless one’s ribs as he opened his mouth to say more.
“Sorry about that. He’s not the brightest bulb on the tree, Ms. Braun.”
None of them were if they were trespassing on the property. “Get out of here.” The conversation was over, and I was only interested in getting to the wounded boy in the hedge. “Now!”
Nobody messed with a Braun. They bolted in every direction, running as though I had a charged weapon pointed at them, and perhaps I had. My family name was something to be feared.
“Come back and I’ll tell my father,” I screamed as they disappeared from view.
On the ground was a bag, fruit from the estate conservatory spilled out onto the pavers, for the fruit outside would not look so perfect. Theft, no doubt.
I looked down into the bushes and saw him. The brown pants and tunic gave away his identity, that of a slave. The boys who’d beat him were the thieves, not this clone. I instantly recognized his face, even though he wouldn’t look at me. General Axis’s clone.
“They were stealing from the conservatory?”
He nodded but continued to avoid eye contact. It was obvious he’d caught and tried to stop them. I’d seen him tending the conservatory orchard from a distance, and supposed it was his primary function when he was at the summer palace from May to November. Beyond that, I’d paid little attention to the clones and what they were doing. Regardless that he was a clone, the lowest in the food chain, he’d done nothing wrong and did not deserve the punishment the boys had given him.
A ball of heat built in my chest as anger seeped into me. This wasn’t right, and my father would hear about it. I didn’t care the victim had been a clone—his suffering had been unwarranted.
I stretched my arm out to help him from the box elder, waiting for him to take my offered hand. He tried to roll to the side, and his gasp told me the motion hurt, but it also told me other things. Like how desperate he was to avoid any contact with me. I waited, ignoring his rejection of help, certain if he couldn’t roll over, he wasn’t climbing out of the hedge on his own. “Come on, take it. Let me pull you out.”
He refused, turning his head away. With a sigh, I leaned down and grabbed his wrist, doing my best to heft his solid frame out of the shrubs. “The more you help me here, the faster I let go of you.”
He clasped my wrist in return and, using the support I offered to climb from the greenery, stood. When he straightened his spine, he towered over me. Most men his height would slump their shoulders in an unintentional need to be smaller. This clone did not.
I gasped and stared at his chest, certain I’d met a giant. General Axis was tall, but I’d had never been in close enough proximity to him to get the full effect of just how big he really was. Perhaps the shock came because I’d always avoided my father’s military leader every chance I could, not liking the way he watched me when he thought no one was looking. I never understood how he’d commanded so much respect before now.
From where I stood, Axel and I were practically chin to shoulders. I had a hard time understanding why he’d let those boys beat him. He obviously had the size and strength to stop them if he desired.
At the time, Axel was around the age of nineteen, at least six-foot-four, and twice my weight. Two years senior to my seventeen and healthy to my scrawny and sick. Even though he was a clone, I felt in the presence of greatness and couldn’t help the slight buzz I got from being so near. And then I got a closer look.
I tipped my chin up, and my mouth dropped open. “Oh.” I blinked, and my heart skipped. My stomach did this strange flip-flop thing, and heat washed across my face. “Wow,” I breathed out, almost silently. I was pretty certain he hadn’t heard, or he’d have looked away again.
My knees got all wonky, and little jolts raced up my arm from where we made skin-to-skin contact. I swore I could feel his pulse beat under my fingers, matching time with my own.
He pulled his wrist free and backed away as I continued to stare.
“Wait,” I said, shaking off the awe. “What’s your name?” I didn’t want to call him clone. And wow, seemed a little impersonal. The clone was more human to me than most of the people who came through the palace. He was the hero of my mother’s antique romances, the ones I’d squirreled away in my room and read until the pages were coming free from the spines.
In a matter of seconds, I’d become a victim of hit-and-run love at first sight.
All my life I’d wanted to meet someone like him—the man of my dreams. Only he was a clone, and any kind of a relationship between us would be forbidden. Impossible. I didn’t care. I was captivated and wanted to know more about him. “Please, don’t walk away. Tell me.”
He stopped his retreat. “I have an I-dent, a creation registration number.” He touched his cheek and ducked his head. The act was both boyish and charming on so powerful a figure.
“No, I mean a name, not an i-dent. I’m Olivia.” I stepped closer. “What name do you call yourself?”
“I know who you are. It’s prohibited for me to have a name, to even think about having one.” He eyed the corner of the house. “I should go.”
I rolled my eyes. “It’s just us out here.” I picked up the bag of fruit and pushed it at him. “What name do you go by?”
He made no move to take it, as though he was afraid we might accidentally touch again. “I haven’t ever had a need to claim one.”
“We shall have to change that.” I thought for a minute and then smiled. “I think I’ll call you Axel. Do you like that?”
“It sounds like his name.” He shifted on the balls of his feet but didn’t run.
“It does, doesn’t it? We’ll keep it between us. I like it much better than a number, or calling you clone.”
“But that is what I am.”
“And?”
Then he lifted his gaze to mine and smiled. It reached his eyes like the sunlight that warmed me on a sultry day, and it took my breath away. I wanted more. “Thank you,” he said, shifting his attention back to stare at the ground.
“You’re welcome.” I tucked the bag under one arm and reached out to take his hand.
He took several steps in reverse. “Don’t touch me.”
“Why?” The moment of closeness we’d shared, vanished.
He didn’t answer but turned and walked away. I followed him, doing my best to keep up, but his legs were so much longer than mine and stretched the distance between us rapidly. It didn’t take seconds for the wheezing to start. My chest hurt, but I did not let it stop me. I wanted an answer to my question. So I jogged, pushing limits I never should’ve.
He whipped around. “Go away.”
I came to a complete stop and sucked in a sharp breath. The bag dropped from my arms. The fruit rolled all over, scattering at our feet. He’d raised his voice. They never did. My chest cramped, and my heart fluttered inside my ribs. Not the steady beat I usually had, but as though it struggled to find its pace. I dropped to my knees, gasping for air, certain I would die. My hand went to my breast, and I willed my heart to beat normally. I needed my medicine and would never make it to the house to get it.
“You shouldn’t have followed me.” He stooped to brush the hair from my eyes and touched my cheek. “I’m a clone, Olivia. I’m not allowed to touch you or speak to you. They execute us for it.” Then Axel did the bravest thing. He lifted me in his arms and ran to the front steps of my home, calling for help.
Three rules broken to save my life. Three that could get him executed. I had not known. I’d been buried in my own little world of romance novels and gardens, failing to learn the laws of our land, living a fantasy instead of facing reality, and it could cost Axel his life. I’d never felt so ignorant or helpless.
General Axis came out and took me from his arms. “What did you do to her?”
Axel shook his head and retreated a couple of steps. He stared at the ground.
General Axis didn’t say anything further, but the look on his face promised Axel would pay. I worried at that moment I’d killed him, my question of why I shouldn’t touch him clearly answered in the commander’s cold accusation. I opened my mouth to speak, to tell General Axis he’d saved me, but I had no air or voice. Then, I swam in darkness.

First Ladylove Feature: COSMIC SUTRA by Jessica E. Subject #lesfic #LGBT #scifi

Cosmic Sutra
by Jessica E. Subject
When Victoria is offered a scholarship to attend Thanh Academy for her last year of university, she jumps at the opportunity. Nothing could be more practical in her psychology studies than to travel to the other side of the universe and live amongst the life forms she strives to learn from.
Upon her arrival, she is met with hostility. Convincing the other students she is not like those from Earth who came before her takes time, but eventually she is embraced by a small group of friends, including a sexy female alien she fantasizes about on a daily basis.
Based on past experience, will Victoria keep her lust hidden deep inside to prevent losing a friend? Or will she confess her feelings to Kaye and possibly find her one true love?
Available September 28th as part of the First Ladylove anthology
Pre-order here:
Twenty students arrived to be tested, a record number compared to any one-day lab Victoria had been involved in back on Earth. She ensured the results had saved to her files before forwarding a copy to Kaye, who was on her way out, probably wanting to get away from her as soon as possible. After shutting down all of the equipment, she left the tiny room. A whistled breath startled her. She shuffled back a step and glanced around for the source of the noise. The leabu sat in the corner of the room, her knees pulled up to her chin.
“What are you still doing here?” And why hadn’t she heard her come back inside?
Kaye sighed. “Just waiting out the rain.”
Rain? A sudden chunk of information popped into Victoria’s mind before she opened her mouth to ask why. Leabus couldn’t handle rain that had even the slightest bit of acidity. It would burn her skin. “You live off campus then?” And far away, too, considering all the nearby buildings were connected by underground tunnels and skyways.
Kaye nodded, her lids appearing heavy over her eyes. “I might end up crashing here for the night if it doesn’t let up soon.”
“Oh.” Victoria crossed one arm in front of her, clasping the other. “You don’t have any other place to go?”
“No, but it’s okay. I’m used to it.”
Rubbing her hand down her arm, Victoria gulped. “Um, you’re welcome to stay in my room for a bit. It’s got to be more comfortable than the floor.”
Kaye’s ears wiggled, but the smile that had earlier accompanied the gesture never came. “Really? You want me to stay with you?”
Rolling her eyes, Victoria glanced away. Why did this have to be so hard? “I know I’m just a lowly Terran. Forget I said anything.”
“No!” Kaye jumped to her feet. “It’s just, I never expected you to offer, with your kind…. With me being so rude to you.”
Victoria shrugged. “I just thought it would be better than being stuck in the lab all night.”
“Are you sure you don’t mind?”
“It’s up to you.” She refused to force the leabu, or anyone, to come to her room. It was a kind gesture she would have offered anyone. “But the invitation stands.”
“Thank you. That would be wonderful. Let me call my roommates to let them know where I’ll be.”
By the time they reached Victoria’s room, she was ready to crash again. Only a few hours awake, she yearned to sleep away the last day of no classes. If not for the constant ping of Kaye’s com unit—calls from her friends asking if she’d been drugged by the Terran—she would have fallen asleep in the lift ride up to her floor. Yet, she didn’t want to be rude to her guest.
“Go ahead and take my bed.” With a quick switch of the pillows, she made the tiny couch into her own sleeping area. It didn’t matter where she ended up bunking because, the moment her head hit the pillow, she would fall fast asleep.
Kaye nodded. “Okay, thank you.” She pressed a button on her shoulder, and her exoskeleton peeled off with a whoosh, clicking as piece after piece folded into each other until it sat at her feet. The only part of her protection left was the air tanks plugged directly into the flesh on her back.
Victoria gasped and turned away, trying to forget the image of the leabu’s naked porcelain skin. Her delicate feminine curves were barely hidden under the clear suit to begin with, but she had seen much more with it off, Kaye’s fragility, but also the rosy peaks of her breasts and the bare folds of skin between her legs. No matter how hard Victoria tried to clear the picture from her mind, she couldn’t, desire speeding up her heart rate and blasting away the tiredness that had plagued her moments ago. How was she supposed to sleep with a naked woman in her room? Leabu or not, Kaye awakened her lust the way no woman on Earth had been able to. Not for a long time, anyway.
“I know I look weird without my suit on, but it’s not exactly comfortable to sleep in.”
“Weird?” Victoria cleared her throat and dared to take another glance, not wanting her guest to think her rude. “Not the word I’d use.”

Today’s theme is…
SEXY TODAY
Here’s seven from COSMIC DESIRES, which will release as part of the First Ladylove anthology on September 18th.
Setup: Victoria has been invited to go to a club off campus. But, she is talking to her best friend, Nash, who is still on the other side of the universe, before she goes…
“Wow, Vic, you look gorgeous. Sure you don’t want to be my girlfriend?”
Victoria’s cheeks warmed as the hologram projection of Nash signaled for her to spin in a circle. When she stopped, she pulled down her skirt, sure it would ride high enough to expose the thin piece of material she wore underneath. Though she doubted anyone would notice with her bust almost falling out the top of the matching corset. She hadn’t thought she had enough to fill anything out until she’d put the contraption on. And surprise! She had boobs. “Do you think I look cheap?”
“Not at all. I just wish I was there with you to take you to that club.” He adjusted the front of his pants with a grunt. “Where did you say you got that outfit again?”
“From Kaye, the leabu I was telling you about.” The woman had messaged her while she was working on her homework, told her an ensemble for the evening would be sent up to her closet. She’d hoped for an outfit with a plunging neckline or a long skirt with a slit all the way up her thigh. But the garments that arrived contained far less material than she’d expected.
“I would say this Kaye has a thing for you.”
“No.” The flare of heat spread into her neck and ears. As much as she’d like to be the object of Kaye’s desire, she would not assume the attraction was mutual. Never again. Her high school crush had taught her that lesson on prom night. “We’re only friends. She’s my lab partner for psychology.”
“Believe what you want, but if I’d sent you that outfit, it would be because I wanted to show you off in front of everyone and yet make them all jealous when I took you in my arms and made out with you in front of all of them.”

Lizbet has always liked the reticent Sahra and is grateful to have the sword swinger at her side. She would like there to be more between them, but they have to survive their trek through enemy territory first. As the two make their way back with critical information for the leader of the rebellion, secrets and feelings are revealed.

Pre-order here:
The woodland between the mountains and the River Darsk wasn’t particularly wide, but it was full of tall, thick evergreens as well as deciduous trees. The ground between the arms-wide trunks was covered in broken boughs and dried leaves and needles. It smelled of decaying logs and moss. A few fallen giants had opened the canopy, giving rise to new growth and patches of bright sunlight.
Sahra avoided those areas. Better to stay in the shadows, their boots muffled by the softer ground cover.
Overhead, birds called and tree-dwellers scurried across thick bark. There were animals that lived on the forest floor, but they were smart enough to disappear into the shadows well before she and Lizbet would have a chance to see them.
Sahra glanced at Lizbet walking beside her, then back to the path. She wasn’t quite sure what to make of the mage. Or her own thoughts. The warm, tingling sensation of Lizbet’s hand in hers had made her palm itch. Sahra had taken it for some sort of magical residue and tried to ignore it. But then Lizbet’s hand on her chest was another matter. She couldn’t feel the heat of it through her mail shirt, just its presence, and for more than a moment Sahra wanted that hand on her with nothing between them.
The idea was startling, but not unwelcome. Sahra had never considered Lizbet as anything more than a comrade. She had never bedded a woman. What would that be like? What would she be like? Sahra’s intimate encounters with males had been few, fleeting, and purely to relieve frustrations. Would it be the same with someone like Lizbet?
Now was not the time to consider such things, but perhaps when they were safely back in their own territory and could let down their guard…
She looked over at Lizbet again.
There was a wrinkle between the mage’s eyes as she monitored the ward surrounding them and kept up with the longer-legged Sahra. Sweat dampened her temples. Was the effort of maintaining the ward too much on top of traveling? They’d been walking at a steady but not overly fast pace for nearly two hours, from what Sahra could reckon.
“Do you want to rest?” she asked, slowing.
Lizbet walked past her several steps then turned. She seemed distracted or confused.
“Lizbet, are you—”
The mage held up her hand, stopping Sahra. The wrinkle between her eyes deepened and she slowly pivoted. “Someone’s out there,” she whispered.
Sahra swung her head this way and that, trying to see or hear anything. She drew her sword from its sheath, the heft of steel reassuring. “Where?” she asked just as quietly.
Lizbet pointed to the south, toward the River Darsk. She turned slightly to her left and pointed again, using two fingers. Pointed again to the west, four fingers spread. She turned quickly to the east, the direction they’d been heading. She raised six fingers.
Damn it. Six on two, coming from three fronts. Not great odds. Not impossible, depending on the Korrideans’ skill level, but not great.
“How far?”
Before Lizbet could reply, a small fireball exploded against the tree trunk ten feet away. Sahra jerked Lizbet toward her and around, putting her armored back to the flames.
“I’d have to say not far,” Lizbet quipped as she straightened.

Available September 28th as part of the First Ladylove anthology
Pre-order here:
“Don’t be afraid.” Safely ensconced in the flying bridge of my Oneir, I beckon to Karla shivering at the bottom of the ladder. “You’re okay with heights, aren’t you?”
“Of course.” She pats the top rung of the ladder as if testing whether it will crumble. “It’s shaking.”
“That’s the water.” I sit on the bridge, swinging my legs and kicking at the metal fixture. “See? I couldn’t knock this down if I tried.”
She jumps back, bumping into the wall behind her. She adjusts her glasses with a trembling hand. “I can look at the ocean from here, thanks. You said it’s deep enough for diving, but I’m not planning on it.”
“You climbed more stairs to my condo, and you didn’t have a problem with that.” I shouldn’t push, but I want Karla to take the chance. I’ve never had a woman on my bridge, or at least not one like her. I can think of ten different ways to enjoy the moonlight, but I can’t scare her yet.
She sets a sensibly sandaled foot onto the first rung but pulls away. “What’s so great about your top deck, anyway?”
“Scoot over.” I shimmy down the ladder and take her by the waist. “Go on. I’ll be right behind you.”
“I’m fine!” She puffs, gripping the metal edges without moving. “I don’t—”
I haul her upward, first one step and then another until her delectable bottom rises to eye level. The white fabric of her three-quarter-length slacks shows faint panty lines, and I pat for encouragement. “It’s safe.”
“That’s enough.” She slips one foot downward to descend after her second step.
Before I can think, I deliver a crisp, noisy smack to the back pocket of her pants. She freezes, and I curse myself. Too forward. She wriggles in unconscious invitation, and I fight a losing battle not to smack the other side.
“Ouch!” She gives a breathy giggle as my hand makes a second impact. “Now who’s the dirty old woman?”
“You’ll pay for that.” I’m glad she can’t see the ridiculous grin spreading across my face.
“Oh, please.” She lowers herself one more step, leaning until her back nestles against my chest.
I wrap her in a soundless slow dance to the lapping of waves against the boat. By some unfathomable stroke of good fortune, this creature has made Oneir live up to its name.

“You’re not going anywhere.” Diana wrapped her hand around Charlotte’s wrist and yanked her back down. She stumbled and landed hard against Diana, pushing her back against the cushions. Sitting up, Diana’s arms came around her and their noses bumped against one another. Charlotte swallowed, her throat and mouth dry. The hooded stare Diana gave her made her lower extremities clench, and she bit her lip.
“If you keep biting your lip, I may end up kissing you again,” Diana whispered and cupped Charlotte’s cheek.
“I don’t understand what’s going on between us. Ever since we shared those kisses, I’ve been so confused. What I’m feeling for you isn’t right.”
Diana caressed Charlotte’s throat. Charlotte’s eyelids fluttered, and she inhaled through her nose to stop from moaning.
“Why isn’t it right? Because we’re both women and have been taught that we should marry men and procreate with them? I never wanted that, and I don’t think you do either.”
“But we can’t be anything more than friends. You’re going to leave me soon, and I’ll be all alone—”
Diana pressed her mouth to hers, molding her lips over Charlotte’s in a strong suction. She moaned and dug her fingers into the front of Diana’s shirt. Diana increased the pressure of the kiss and Charlotte spread her palms over her chest, jerking back when Diana’s nipples hardened.
“Oh….” Charlotte whispered, and, when Diana nipped her mouth, she joined in, rubbing against Diana as she tried to find some sort of relief.
Diana broke off the kiss, and, with a swipe of her tongue over Charlotte’s mouth, she sat up and lifted Charlotte away until she pushed her on her back and leaned over her.
She gazed up at Diana, out of breath, her own chest heaving and her nipples tightening as the clenching between her legs grew. “I feel so strange.”
Diana slowly unbuttoned the front of Charlotte’s dress. “Strange as in wrong, or strange as in wonderful?” she asked, and when the top of Charlotte’s bosom was revealed, she placed a soft kiss on the exposed skin.
Charlotte’s clutched Diana’s arms. “Wonderful, but also….”
“Unknown? I know, Lottie. I’ve been living with my feelings for you for years and wasn’t sure how you would respond to me.”
“Respond?” Charlotte asked.
Diana traced a nail across the top of her breast. Charlotte sighed and moved her hands up higher to play with Diana’s hair.
“I was afraid you would be disgusted with me. After the kisses we shared, you acted shocked and didn’t say anything. That was why I left the way I did. But then when you wrote me and didn’t bring up the incident. I thought you forgave me and wanted to be friends and nothing more.”
Diana’s eyes were bright with tears. Charlotte blinked away the dampness forming in her own. She pulled Diana’s head down and brushed her hand over her curls. “I would never be disgusted by you. I’ve dreamt of kissing you each night. Now that you’re leaving me, I don’t know what I’ll do.”
Diana lifted her head and smiled. “I’m leaving, but not without you. I can’t stand another second without you by my side. I hate it when we’re apart.”
“I-I don’t understand. How can we be together?” Charlotte swept her fingers over Diana’s face as if to memorize it.
“Ever since we met in Hyde Park, when we were girls, and you helped rescue my kite from getting stuck in a tree, I’ve adored you. And when I grew into womanhood, I knew what I felt for you wasn’t just friendship. I wanted more. And I think you do, too, but need me to push you into accepting my terms in order for us to be together.”
Charlotte’s eyes widened when Diana curled her hands into her hair and pulled her face in close to hers.
“When my father and I leave for Boston, you’re coming with us, and I won’t take no for an answer.”
Diana’s mouth came crashing down on hers. This time her tongue slid inside Charlotte’s mouth that had dropped open in shock. She arched her back when Diana’s palms cupped her breasts and molded them, her thumbs swiping her nipples. And when Diana’s hand slipped inside her corset, she gasped and lifted her leg to curve around Diana’s hip.
“Do you like how I touch you?” Diana whispered and circled her hand over Charlotte’s breast, squeezing lightly.
“Yes!” Charlotte gave her mouth to Diana again. When Diana kissed her, she wanted to experience more. As to what that mysterious more was, she wanted Diana to show her.

A Sexy Unexpected Visitor in today’s #MidWeekTease from COSMIC DESIRES #erotica #99cents
Happy Wednesday! It’s time for today’s Mid Week Tease post! Mid Week Tease is an author meme started and hosted by author Sandra Bunino, where authors share snippets from their recent releases, back list titles, and works-in-progress (WIPs). So, please check out my tease and visit the other participating authors listed below.
For today’s post, I’m going to share an excerpt from one of my my upcoming releases, COSMIC DESIRES, which is a collection of sci-fi and paranormal erotica stories.
Setup: This excerpt comes from the story Replicated Consequences, which is a MF sci-fi spanking story. It takes place in the same futuristic world as Made For Her.
Darryl sank into his chair, form-fitted by age. With his foot, he brushed the papers and dishes on the ottoman to the floor. He winced at the crash, but had little motivation to clean it up or do anything. Stretching out his legs, he rested them atop the cleared surface and closed his eyes. Opening them meant he would see her again, dressed in her pressed and polished uniform or naked with him in bed. But the memories of Beth simply fucked with his head. She was gone forever. Nothing he said or did would ever bring her back.
He cringed at the abrupt stabbing pain in his chest. No one said living with a broken heart was easy. He’d known the risks of dating her, but his awareness did nothing to prepare him for the agony of losing her.
Though a military woman marrying a civilian remained a rare occurrence at Beth’s base, they’d celebrated their seventh anniversary four months ago, right before she deployed for the last time.
A knock interrupted his memories. Darryl flicked his eyes open and stared at the door. Perspiration beaded his skin. The last time someone had knocked—most rang the doorbell—bad news had followed. Two weeks ago. And he’d holed up inside ever since, only emerging for Beth’s funeral.
He set his feet on the floor before walking on wobbly legs toward the entrance. What dark tidings would he receive?
Palms slick from sweat, he turned the knob. Catching sight of the two people on his stoop, he stepped back with a startled gasp. No way the people standing in front of him existed. He had to be dreaming.
The man in full military dress gave him a quick nod. “Mr. Malloy?”
He swallowed, his throat suddenly dry. “Yes.”
“I have a delivery for you.” The man touched the woman’s back, ushering her forward. “She’s all yours. Take care of her.”
She? His? But…. Beth had died. He’d watched her body lowered into the ground, received the country’s flag. No way could his wife be standing there. “There must be some mistake. Beth died.”
Strolling down the walkway, the man paused and glanced back at him. “That’s not Sergeant Malloy. It’s her clone.”
Hardly an it. Rather a copy of his wife. Darryl griped the doorjamb. His mind spun. Human cloning had just become public knowledge. And those created remained the property of the military. “Shouldn’t she be in a lab somewhere? Or training for a mission?”
The man, at his parked Humvee, shook his head. “We had special instructions to bring her here should anything happen to the sergeant.”
Darryl rubbed the back of his neck, studying the woman in his care. While she resembled his late wife in every way, from her tight bun to her sexy pout, he had no idea what to do with her. “So, you’re a clone?”
She tilted her head, pointing to the raised ring of skin on her long, creamy-white neck.
Darryl groaned, fighting the urge to lick her skin from her collarbone to the scar remaining from the removal of her information portal. She wasn’t his wife, but that didn’t matter to his libido. He craved her the same.
Not once had he strayed from his commitment to Beth. And when she’d arrived home after months away, they hadn’t wasted any time reuniting . Even though he knew the clone wasn’t his wife, his hormones raced.
With a brief smile, she glanced inside. “May I come in?”

I dribbled the last of the cream from the stainless steel pitcher into a chipped stoneware mug. Perfect example of adult accountability. I chipped that mug early one morning, nicked the lip against the counter while I was carrying a few too many things on a few too many hands (and fingers, as this mug had been empty and I’d looped the handle over my thumb.) I chipped it, I bought it, so to speak. I kept that mug in a secure place behind the counter and when I take breaks, I drink only from the mug that I damaged. DeeDee would not care, she’d toss the mug and not even dock me for it, but it’s the principle. I sipped from the side of the lip that was smooth, the chip close but not close enough to cut me. I looked at this new-ish girl, tried to see past the tacky lipcolor, way too dark for lips that thin on a face that pale. I noticed a bump in her hair that she hadn’t smoothed when she’d fastened a barrette that held growing-out bangs.
I checked my spoon for water spots and wiped it clear with a fingertip. “I know you’re still fairly new here and maybe don’t know how things work. Fixin’ Biscuits runs on a very regular schedule. I have my schedule, you have yours. DeeDee makes the schedule, we work the schedule. If you want to work your job around your social life, try applying out at the mall.” I took a slow sip of my coffee, letting the impact of my ‘no’ settle in. “I’m off this Sunday. And unless you decide not to show, which of course would cost you your job, you will be working.”
“My grandmother is dying,” she squinted at me. Her voice was angry and her eyes glimmered with what I assumed was disdain. “I have to go visit her in the hospital.”
“Honey, go visit her Saturday night.” I pulled a piece of day old bagel off with my fingers and smeared a thin layer of butter from a foil packet onto the soft-enough center. I put the food in my mouth and swung the stool to right, looking past the toastie girl to the small TV perched above the counter. “I’m off this Sunday. Now will you excuse me? We full-timers need our breaks.”

First Ladylove Feature: DARING DESTINY by @LeighEllwood #lesfic #LGBT

Daring Destiny
by Leigh Ellwood
Clara has waited the appropriate length of time since Shannon’s death to tell her widow, Desi, that she loves her. Desi doesn’t feel ready to move on, and Clara is determined to help change her mind.
Available September 28th as part of the First Ladylove anthology

With their guests departed and dessert plates smeared with thick chocolate ganache stacked in the sink, Clara turned on the hot water and drizzled citrus-scented liquid soap over the night’s wash. Desi had implored her to leave the mess until morning, but her fastidious nature got the best of her, and she reached for a sponge.
Halfway into the third dinner plate, a pair of arms snaked around her waist from behind, and Clara held in a pleasured groan. Desi’s cheek rested against her shoulder, though only momentarily. No matter; it proved time enough for her nipples to stiffen, aching for Desi’s touch.
The winery owner had meant it as a friendly hug, offered after a long day. It wasn’t the first time Desi had crept up on her like this, but she wanted it to lead to something deeper, more passionate.
One second. All it would take for Clara to turn around in Desi’s loose hold and kiss her. So close, yet she continued washing the dishes like a coward.
“I told you those could wait,” Desi chided her.
“With three group tours coming in tomorrow? Who will have time to clean up?” Clara’s heart sank when she pulled away, but she smiled when Desi grabbed a dry towel. She rinsed the plate and handed it off. “Besides,” she added, “we may need the plates, and I’d rather not rush in the morning.”
“I don’t know what I’d do without you here,” Desi said. “Yet, you work so much. Sunday is going to be slow. Why don’t you take a break then? Jenny and I can handle everything.”
“Good. I could use the day to catch up on invoices.” Clara heard the plate Desi held clatter to the counter.
“That’s not something to do on your day off.”
She smirked. She could think of a better way to pass a Sunday outside the winery, but knew Desi wouldn’t interpret a pass as genuine. Recalling her reaction to Ellie’s suggestion of moving forward, she’d do better not to jest about lovemaking.
“I like to work,” she said instead. “What else is there to do in town?” Clara lived on the winery property, in a small pre-fab cottage close to the McNeille home. She preferred to stay close to operations in the event of an emergency and had been grateful that Shannon and Desi allowed for the housing as part of her salary. Working at Dare’s Destiny wouldn’t make her a millionaire, but she didn’t want for much anyway.
A bathroom, a bed, a book or two…and a body to keep her warm at night. Three out of four wasn’t bad, but to clean sweep…
“Well, you don’t have to stay in Dareville,” Desi said. “There’s Virginia Beach. Go to a movie, the mall…anywhere.”
“The mall? I’m not a fifteen-year-old girl, Des,” Clara said with a laugh. “Really, I appreciate your concern for my well-being, but I actually find work relaxing. Maybe if it’s warm out, I’ll play tourist here and park on the deck with a bottle of the Chardonnay Reserve.”
“Funny you should mention that. When I was at Jake’s Organic this morning, a few people came up and said how much they enjoyed the barrel tasting party for that one. Even Ellie asked about the next vintage.”
Clara closed her eyes for a moment to conjure an exact image of their cellar, a space she knew as intimately as her own home. Not a barrel, not a spigot, could be moved without her noticing. Set in three rows of twelve, the oak whites had settled in for the winter and would be ready to sample soon. Given the last cold winter, Clara expected quite a difference in this coming vintage from the last bottling of the Reserve.
“Maybe, if we start planning immediately, we can schedule a weekend on late June,” Clara began, and Desi cut her off.
“Perfect. I’ll call Tish to see if she wants to set up a booth to sell her chocolates, and check with other local vendors and crafters, too.” Desi dried her hands on another towel then braced her palms behind her on the counter and faced Clara. “I like that people are willing to wait on us before they make plans for other events,” she said. “Which reminds me, we talked about doing a tent at the Norfolk wine festival in July…”
“Turned in the fees last week. We’re all set.”
Desi smiled at her, melting her heart. “What would I do without you?”
