Jessica E. Subject’s Weekly Writing Update ~ Alien Next Door series on SALE & What I’m Reading
Hello! It’s Tuesday, so that means I need to report how my writing is coming along. Plus, I’m going to share what I’m reading/listening to right now.

I worked on a print edition of this story over the past week, formatting the inside of the file, and creating a cover from the ebook cover. I’m waiting for the proof to arrive to see how everything turned out.

BRYCE ~ Once again, not as much as I’d hoped. I started at 3,931 words and now I have 4,645, for a total 714 new words.
ALIEN KISSES AT MIDNIGHT ~ This will be a New Years’ Eve short alien romance. I’m still at 628 words. No new words here.
GOALS FOR THE WEEK ~ I still need to format Accidental Romance, and upload for pre-order for release on November 16, 2015. Plus, I will write as many words as possible on Bryce and/or Alien Kisses At Midnight.
READING UPDATE ~ I have read more this week, as there were some days I needed to step away from my own work. I’m reading MARCUS (Hell Squad) by Anna Hackett. I love it so much I bought the rest of the series. And with my @Voice app, I’m listening to SURVIVING OUTBOUND by Liza O’Connor.

Set-up: Mandy is getting ready to close up her costume shop when two sexy last minute customers walk in…
“I’m sure I can help you find what you’re looking for. And I’ll give you fifty percent off.” Shit, that sounded desperate for a sale. Really, she wanted to keep them in the store a little bit longer. They would make excellent heroes in her future fantasies.
Zane chuckled. “Sure, let’s see what you’ve got. My brother and I are going to a sci-fi themed party. Do you have anything that falls under that description?”
Brothers? Could have fooled her. But she wasn’t about to argue. And they were into sci-fi, like her. “Sure. We have your movie costumes. Star Wars, Star Trek, Avatar….”
He shook his head. “I don’t know. What do you think, Blaze?”
“Those have been done,” the other brother said. “Anything else?”
She gave them a quick glance over to gauge their sizes. Her cheeks warmed as she caught sight of the bulge in Zane’s pants. A wave of desire swept over her. She inhaled deeply. They were only customers and hadn’t given any indication they wanted more than costumes.
It had been so long since she’d even seen a man’s cock, dedicating all of her time to the store. She needed to get out and live again. She needed to get laid.

For today’s post, I’m sharing an excerpt from ALIEN ADORATION. It is the first book in the Alien Next Door series, and is FREE at select retailers until ALIEN ATTRACTION releases November 9th.
In this excerpt, one of the ladies in the small town Rachel lives in is trying to set her up once again. Rachel has no idea how to get out of it, but the neighbor she’s adored from afar comes to her rescue. Enjoy!
“Listen, there’s a dance over in Allentown on Friday night. Always a bevy of single men there. I want you to come with me, and you can pick your own fella.”
God, no. Like she wanted to be eyed-up and groped by a bunch of middle-aged and old men. “I, uh… I have other plans.”
“Is that right? What are they?”
She bounced her foot. How was she going to get out of this?
Christine leaned over the cubicle wall and stared at her with an evil smirk. “Yeah, what are your plans?”
Traitor.
She drummed her fingers on her desk. Why couldn’t she be quicker on her feet?
“Well?” Mrs. Norris asked.
“She’s having dinner with me.”
Rachel gasped. Had she heard his voice, or just imagined it?
Luke stepped past the old bat, and into her office. “Good morning, Rachel. I’m sorry I missed you at the coffee shop this morning.” He nodded to the other women listening. “Mrs. Norris, Miss Shaw. Would you mind if I have a few moments alone with this beautiful young woman?”
Christine ducked away immediately, and Rachel swore she heard her friend squee. Mrs. Norris, on the other hand, gave him a ferocious glare. “I’ve heard about you. You’re no good for her.”
Tension blanketed her small cubicle, but Luke grinned back at the old woman. “I believe Rachel can make her own decisions.”
With one last glare, Mrs. Norris huffed off.
Alone with him in her office, she froze, unable to form a coherent thought. After a deep breath, her heart jumped back to life, pumping faster than ever. Luke Jones had more or less invited her to dinner Friday night.

Hello! Time for another Tuesday writing report. I have a lot of news for you this week. I didn’t get as much writing done as I’d hoped and planned, but I was working on other projects for you.
ALIEN ATTRACTION ~ I have finished edits for this story, formatted it, and have made it available for pre-order. This story will be available November 9th, 2015. But, you can pre-order now from All Romance, Amazon, Kobo, and Smashwords. Though, it will be up at more retailers soon.
And to prepare for the upcoming release, I have marked ALIEN ADORATION (book one) to FREE at All Romance, Coffee Time Romance, Google Play, and Kobo until November 9th, 2015.
And ALIEN ADMIRER (book two) to 99¢ USD at All Romance, Amazon, Coffee Time Romance, Google Play, and Kobo until November 9th, 2015. I recently updated this ebook, mostly back matter, and formatted and uploaded the new version before putting it on sale.
RIGHTS REVERTED ~ What else have I been working on this week? Three of my stories were coming up to the end of their contract, so I asked my publisher for the rights back. So, Accidental Romance, An Unexpected Return, and Made For Her are no longer available. I will be re-releasing Accidental Romance soon. The other two, I need to edit and re-write the endings before I make them available again. But, to the left is the new cover for Accidental Romance.

Set-up: Angela invited Chal over for dinner. They’ve been watching a movie about a human falling in love with an alien (Avatar). Both characters are alien, but neither knows about the other…
Resting his palm on her hip bone, he resisted the urge to scoop her up in his arms and take her to the bedroom. Could living in this part of the world be so easy for his kind? “What about you? Could you fall in love with an alien?”
She smiled, her body relaxing again. “I am absolutely sure I could.”
“What about a regular human being?” Slowly gathering her skirt up her legs, he waited for her answer. Would she reject him?
“Could I fall in love with someone from Earth? Sure.” She moved her hand down and began to rub his inner thigh. “If that someone is you.”
Lust oozed out of her pores, accelerating his desire. He sat up, anxious to kiss her sweet lips. So soft and tender. She wrapped her arms around his neck and leaned back, pulling him on top of her. Chal plunged his tongue into her mouth the way he wanted to experience other parts of her.
Angela held the hem of his sweater, drawing the material up until he was forced to draw back for a moment to get the dang thing off. As she trailed her palms up and down his back, Chal slipped his hands under the skirt of her dress. He yearned for more. All of her. No internal warnings with his neighbor. Every inch of his being encouraged him on, to make the ultimate connection with the woman who said she could love an alien.
Clasping her waist, he ran his thumbs along the edge of her undergarments. With a throaty moan, she thrust toward him. Encouragement? He lifted his head and gazed into her honey-colored eyes. “Do you want this?”
But, can things really be this easy for the two of them?
