The Big Question
To self-publish or not to self-publish, that is the question.
Whether you’re starting out and trying to decide if going traditional or indie is best for you… or are a midlist author with a dozen traditionally published books under your belt trying to decide whether to take another traditional contract or leap into self-publishing… or an author with a small press getting your rights back and trying to decide the best way to move forward with your career, this question applies to all of us, and...

Reinvesting in Craft
In May I will have published twenty books which when I think about it seems crazy because it wasn’t all that long ago that I was here talking about submitting my Golden Heart book (which never sold btw.) So to think seven years have passed since I first finaled in the Golden Heart and I’ve been actuallyliving my dream seems…weird. But a good weird.
So way back during those sweet, innocent days of being pre-published, I worked hard at not only polishing my manuscript, but also on developing my...

Green Sparkly Magic
Do you know what is special about tomorrow? It’s a day of magic! Leprechaun magic! Tomorrow is St. Patrick’s Day.
And although this holiday is anchored in Ireland, many people off the green isle celebrate the magic of this fun day. Even though I have reddish hair and some freckles, and my dad looks like a Leprechaun (sorry Dad, but it’s true), I’m not Irish. But ever since I was a wee little lassie, I’ve been very fortunate to have the Leprechaun come to my house every St. Patrick’s Day.

March is National Women’s History Month.
I write about strong, extraordinary women. This post is about women I admire because they have moral courage and an ability to get beyond danger and do what is right because it needs to be done.
First, the women who settled North America. All the little mama’s who had the courage to get on a tiny, leaky boat and go to an unknown new world. They didn’t have a smart phone to check the weather, complain on fb the boat didn’t dock on time, or call an Uber driver to take them to an Inn.
Agent 555...

Writing=Weight Loss? Using Writing Strategies to Lose Weight
I’m a writer, and like many people who sit for long periods of time, my health and weight were not where they should be. Five years ago I was diagnosed with ovarian cancer, which somersaulted me into a world of surgery, bedrest, instant menopause, chemo, and steroids. This all added up to a weight gain of forty pounds.
Once I weaned off all the therapeutic and supportive drugs, the first twenty pounds fell away without too much trouble. I was eating better than before and was able to walk my...
