Remarkable Missoula, Montana artist Courtney Blazon was commissioned by the good folks at the Montana Book Awards to create this CAM POST inspired sculptural piece (think of a super-sized snow glob—something so far up Cam’s alley it’s practically in her backyard).
The sculpture is absolutely loaded with meticulous and clever and beautiful references to Cam’s many shenanigans (and also her personal moments of heartbreak and surprise and wonder). It’s exactly the kind of thing a writer (this writer!) dreams someone might do with her words someday, and now it’s happened and I’m just pretty damn gobsmacked by it.

Daniel Barreto, an illustrator based in Boston, MA, created an awesome series of manipulated photos and gifs depicting tiny dwellings built into the trunks of living trees. They’re charming and beautiful and we keep looking at them hoping to catch a glimpse of the even tinier occupants of these woody homes.

Love these.

Oh I will make a pie. I will always, always make a pie. (Now to remember that.)

CHEEMOBILE: Some Signs You Could Be A Fiction Writer
You are always thinking of insane jobs for yourself that you never follow through on.
Conversations with other people repeat in your head for days after you have them.
Conversations with other people repeat in your head for days before you have them.
Conversations with other people…
Oh yes, yes: yes to all of these but even more so to 1-4 (for me).
