Kiss My Name - NOW OUT!
As targeted , Kiss My Name was released on 29th July. There was a bit of a hiccup as Amazon failed to register the book on the Amazon UK site, initially, but this issue has thankfully been resolved. Will keep the blog up-to-date with progress on sales and non-Goodreads reviews, but just nervously waiting now to see what people think. Hoping most will enjoy it!

Kiss My Name - To Be Released on Monday 29th July
The last four weeks have seen giant strides in the progression of 'Kiss My Name', so I have announced a release date of Monday 29th July. As yet, I am still 100 pages away from finishing it, so nothing like putting yourself under a bit of pressure!This time around, it has been edited and put on to Microsoft Word in sections, so it is not as though I have to type the whole thing up once I have finished writing.
Updates will happen more frequently over the next few weeks, as the release date nears, but I am enjoying working on it twenty four/seven and I feel this time I have learnt from the experience of releasing 'Forever Is Over'.
Right, back to work!

Tortoise Paced Progress
Each time I write a blog post, I seem to make predictions that I cannot keep to, so I won't be making any this time, just a quick update keeping things short and sweet!
I am now 73 500 words in Draft One. I feel the book is really taking shape now and the characters are coming to life more and more. There are significant Chapters still to be written and the impression I get is that I am probably two-thirds of the way through. I have given up trying to write a short book, I don't think I am capable of doing it!

Slow Progress!
Back in January around my birthday on the 30th, I remember announcing to friends that I had written 40 000 words of my second book. The words were flowing and I confidently predicted that I would have written 70 000 words by the end of February and finished draft one by the end of March. March finishes in two hours and have I finished Draft One? Have I heck!
I recorded an interview for Salford City radio last week, (which will go out in April) and I confessed that I now realise that I can only write when I feel creative. Luckily, I have recently gone through another productive spell, book two is now 56 000 words in and I really, really hope I can complete the first draft in the next few weeks. If anyone read what I have written so far, I am still not sure if they would make too much sense of it, but I wanted to write it as it came into my head rather than trying to write it chronologically, so it is all over the place! The next draft will try to make it more readable. People keep asking me when the next one will be out and I am desperate to get it out there, but I am also desperate for it to be as good as it can possibly be and if I just rush through it, I know I will fail miserably! Bear with me. I am getting there.

Forever Is Over (FREE Ebook Promo)
As it has been realtively quiet recently I have the option of putting FOREVER IS OVER out FREE as an ebook for a few days. I will be doing this Tuesday-Thursday (5th to 7th March) with the option of extending it to Friday-Saturday if the promo goes well. I'm Writing Again!
Over the last couple of years, having spent the previous two writing 'Forever Is Over', in my spare time, I have been promoting the book. Reviews on the whole, have been very positive and ebook sales, for a first novel, have been very encouraging (currently topping 48 000). Over the last few months though, I have watched sales start to dip and slowly realised, for now anyway, FIO has probably peaked and I need to concentrate on writing my second book.
So, book number two is under way. I have written around 27 000 words of the first draft so far. It is a bit all over the place, but I just want to write it as the ideas come into my head and I can re-organise it in a later draft. It is not a seismic shift in style from FIO, so hopefully those who enjoyed FIO will also enjoy this but I accept those who didn't are unlikely to like this either. I was advised by a high profile literary agent to "stick to what you are good at" and obviously I am not intending on trotting out a carbon copy, but the writing style will be very similar. Hoping to have the second book out by the summer, but will keep you updated on here!
