CrossFit sucks. We all know that. It sucks the air out of us, it sucks the sweat out of us, it sucks the fat off our bones, and it sucks the weakness out of our muscles. CrossFit sucks the excuses out of our mind and sucks the life out of the power that haters can have. So much of CrossFit is in your head. So, consider trying this. Before your next WOD, start saying in your head “yes I can, yes I can, …” and don’t stop saying “yes I can” in your head until the WOD is over. Repeating this positive affirmation and self-cheer may work to help you push through the self-talk in your head that wants to say “I can’t”. We’ve been saying “I can’t” for so long, it’s time to give something else a try, like “Yes I can, Yes I can.” It just might word for you. You’ll know if it worked when you’re lying in a pile of your own sweat and puke realizing that you’ve never felt better in your life. CrossFit sucks. I wonder what tomorrow’s WOD will be…
