BearyTales has been postponed
This is just a quick note to address some questions about BearyTales, a book which Willow Cross, K.B. Miller and myself are co-authoring together.
Question 1. When will BearyTales be out?
Answer: The three of us have all encountered personal issues individually. (which I won’t go into because they are within our private home lives.) We also drastically underestimated how little work we would be able to get done during the summer when our kids are home.
Question 2. Are you still working on it?
Answer: Yes, we are still working on it, it’s just taking longer than we expected. We want this to be perfect for you guys and that takes time.
Question 3. Are you guys fighting?
Answer: Lol, no, we are not fighting. We are just very busy with our own work and other various projects.
Question 4. Where can I find the contact pages for BearyTales.
Answer: Here are few pages we have already set up for BearyTales.
Website / Twitter / Facebook / Goodreads
Thank you guys so much for caring and for all your support. Feel free to contact us if you have anymore questions.
Once upon a time, something wicked was woven. A magic formed by darkness and pain, a magic that only the victim of a broken heart could have created.
The death of her one true love has forced Goldalynn to use dark magic. Determined to bring him back she discovers she must acquire the pelts of three bears under the light of the blue moon to fulfill the spell.
The blue moon has risen and the three bears are caged, awaiting the fate of Goldalynn’s deadly spell. But, their cries for help were heard across the magical realms and their Fairy God Uncle has been called. A collision of spells, magic dark and light create a curse, a curse that turns the bears fur into soft skin and their paws into delicate arms and legs… a curse that turns them human.
The girls are now the charges of their Fairy God Uncle until they no longer need him. Not knowing what to call them, he gives them the most important part of their human identities … their names, Katya, Nita, and Leilanni. With his help, these three bears in human bodies journey through the lands of modern fairy tales trying to find a way to break the curse.
This dark fairy tale is not the book your mother read you when tucking you in at night, you won’t find a fairy tale princess who needs a rescue, but there might be a prince or three in this world. Find out as Beary Tales takes you on a magically twisted adventure.

Take a Break
I am going on almost four years being a published author. As each day passes by I realize that I am quite possibly a workaholic. I always, always have to be doing something that is growing my business. I do, however take time out to be with my kids, but even then half the time I have a notebook with me or my camera and I’m thinking about work.
Here’s the thing, sometimes you just have to know when to take a break. I don’t mean like a ten minute break. I mean at least a day. Authors and others who work from home tend to work all the time instead of just set hours and it becomes some strange habit to always have to be working. So, if you are feeling stressed, tired all the time, and grouchy. Just take a day off, that IS one of the perks of working from home you guys.
For me, the grouchiness, gets horrible, I mean, like … really bad. Usually I feel better after taking a day off to read and veg out or going and doing stuff outside with my kids or even alone. Take a break and do what’s best for yourself.

School, Soccer, Cub Scouts! Oh my!
Just a quick post to fill everyone in on my daily ventures. Since school started back up again it’s been pretty busy around here. We have Soccer for two of the kids, 4 days a week. And my oldest son is doing Cub Scouts now. I may even have to volunteer to be a den leader if no one else does. We also have a lot of other stuff going on like my daughter playing the flute and each month all the way up until January we have a birthday.
I am going to do my best to try and keep blogging consistently. If you have anything you would like me to post about please send an email to the address in the contact tab.
Happy Sunday everyone!

September is an important month for authors
I am just going to post this as a public service announcement on behalf of all authors.
We authors as a community love our readers and our fans. Interacting with you guys is one of the absolute best parts of the job. So, most of us never talk about sales or anything that has to do with finances. I know that I am a very private person when it comes to all that.
What I am getting at here is that many of you probably don’t know that September is a very important month for authors because any sales made this month, are what we get two months from now. Which would make that the last pay date before Christmas.
I know there is a myth out there that if you are an author you make a crap ton of money. This is not true. If our book is 99 cents, we make about 30 cents off that book. If our book is 4.99 we make about 3 bucks off of that book depending on where it is sold. It takes a lot of books and a lot of hard work to really make a decent income being author.
I am not writing this to say “Hey, go out and buy my stuff.” It’s a call to our friends and fans. This time for sharing has never been more important. Every time you click share on one of our links or blog posts you are helping feed our families and pay our bills. This business is not dependent only on the author, but on the fans.
So please, remember that sharing is an easy way to help people out and it helps soooo much more than you will ever know.
Thank you everyone for all you do for us. I am eternally grateful for my fans, for without whom I wouldn’t be doing what I love to do.

Today is release day for
Once Upon a Zombie Apocalypse: Episode 2
Amazon / B&N / Smashwords

The second installment of Once Upon a Zombie Apocalypse continues as Jade and Kylee fight their way out of Virginia Beach and head toward the Mason Dixon line. There, they hope to find Kylee’s family alive and well.
The virus, which is turning the world’s population into zombies, is spreading faster than either of them would have imagined. Chaos now plagues what is left of society, leaving death and destruction rioting in the streets. Many of the survivors have gone into hiding in order to stay alive.
Jade and Kylee refuse to hide. The need to find their families is even stronger than their will to live, and it is the driving force on the journey to find their loved ones
Excerpt:
Once upon a time, my world was normal.
There is no going back to the way it was. In a matter of days, we have seen devastation and chaos take over. It’s spreading fast, too fast to fix, leaving society in ruins and turning cities into ghost towns.
People are disappearing quicker than I would have ever expected. In the short time we have been on the road I haven’t seen many people, but the zombies are everywhere. They walk around aimlessly, in search of fresh meat … in search of us. It’s probably safe to assume that anyone who has survived so far has gone into hiding, only to come out when they need something.
Most people were not prepared for the shit hitting the fan. And very few of those who did prepare actually thought it would be a fucking zombie apocalypse; I sure as hell didn’t think it would be what fucked up our world. I was more concerned about a nuclear war, or China finally wanting to collect on all that money we owe them. I don’t know, anything but zombies.
At this point, Kylee and I have to take it one step at a time. My family is far away from where we are, and Kylee’s home is closest, so that is our first destination.
Each day is a different adventure and a new test of our strength. Our friendship has been strengthened, but tested at the same time. Ky and I, we are two very different people, and in some ways it’s a challenge to be around each other for very long.
In other ways, it’s a balance. She strengthens me where I am weak and makes me see a softer side when I am too harsh, which I tend to be more than I want to admit. I’d like to think that it’s the same for her as it is with me.
One thing I know for certain is that I wouldn’t be able make it through this without her. I guess if you’re going to be stuck smack in the middle of a zombie apocalypse, it’s always a plus to be stuck there with your best friend.
Onward we go, each day bringing us a little bit closer to our loved ones … our husbands and children, the people we would die for. Hopefully, when we find them, they will be alive.

Kylee
Chemical Warfare has turned most of the world’s population into flesh eating Zombies. These are the accounts of two survivors.
Kylee and Jade are on their way from one author convention to another. After saying goodbye to all their friends, they never dreamed the plane would land with them fighting for their lives.
Kylee Mahafferty lived a life of luxury, jet setting to big cities around the globe, high dollar shopping sprees, and downing copious amounts of her favorite fu-fu-non-fat lattes’. But, that life’s suddenly been replaced by one with a simple objective, survival. Kylee’s best friend, Jade is the only thing holding together the slippery tendrils of her unraveling mind.
With their first mission being to find their families, will the girls manage to save their families while trying to save each other?
