Author JH Glaze

JH Glaze is a unique kind of Storyteller. He was born in Ohio and as a young adult traveled the country, often times hitchhiking, looking for new opportunities. The sometimes unbelievable experiences he had during these years is evident in his style of writing, an accessible "hey, I know you" kind of word construction that enables you to be a part of his stories. After years of wandering, discovering America and people from every walk of life, he eventually landed in Atlanta GA.
His writing includes a paranormal horror/thriller series of full length novels called 'The Paranormal Adventures of John Hazard' which currently consists of 'The Spirit Box', 'NorthWest' and the soon to be released 3rd book in the series, 'Send No Angel'. These stories center around a main character, John Hazard, a former police detective turned paranormal investigator. Many adventures are planned for John and readers are invited to "Stay Tuned".
JH Glaze has also developed a short story series entitled The Horror Challenge, whereby he solicits his readers for a word or phrase that he then uses to craft a short story, usually in 2,000 words or less. This method of story development brings the reader into the creative process then credits their story suggestion at the time of publishing. The interaction with readers is revolutionary in the literary community and the tales he weaves from the suggestions are often a surprising twist on every day objects and situations.
With the Novelettes, The Life We Dream and Forced Intelligence, JH Glaze expanded his writing into realms of romance and science fiction, while maintaining a compelling story telling style. The new series coming this spring, Rune will add yet another layer to his work and he is excited to unveil this serial novel, one thrilling episode at a time.
A signature of his writing style is to use common situations to lead the reader along a path that seems familiar to them, and then provide a twist that is so unexpected, it is impossible to not feel compelled to keep reading late into the night. With a blend of humor and horror, he delights in giving the reader something to look forward to in every chapter of every novel or short story.
When you are looking for a story to thrill and entertain you in a way that you may not have experienced before, try a novel, novelette, or short story by JH Glaze. You'll discover why they call him one of the new Kings of Horror!
JH Glaze currently lives in Atlanta with his wife Susan, who moonlights as his editor, 2 crazy dogs and a Senegal Parrot who hates, but tolerates him.

April 1st Author, Tim Miller
Tim Miller has studied various religions, as well as psychology and has worked in several fields involving the study of human behavior. After serving four years in the U.S. Marines, Tim spent six years working as a corrections officer. Tim also worked as a technician in a psychiatric center. The Hand of God is Tim's first novel in almost ten years. He currently lives in San Antonio, Texas with his wife and their children.
Tim became a fan of horror as a teenager. At the age of fourteen he would often read Stephen King books while listening to Iron Maiden on his head phones. He would write short stories to entertain himself and his friends. These were mystery/suspense thrillers, but frightening enough in their own right.
After a ten year break and writing two inspirational books, Tim is back at it writing horror with The Hand of God. It is the first book in the series about Pastor Charlie, the preacher/serial killer. Tim is currently working on the second book in the Pastor Charlie series.

Meet the Author

So far you're wondering who the heck is this guy. Well, I ask that same question everyday to myself but nobody cares to comment back. When the mime in me finally replies you will be the second to know it.
For what it's worth - I have had a passion for writing since I was a teenager. Had I known what I do know I would have chased after that dream of creative writing, but alas, as any teen would tell you, "I have better things to do with my life right now - like stand around the mall's food court for starters."
Yes, just stood there. We really never did anything except eat at the food court and stretch out across the benches the mall provided. Such was the life as a youth. What cares would I have to worry about? Come to think of it now I have rent, bills, food to put in the refrigerator, gas for the car, a car payment ..... you get the point. No one under eighteen, mostly, cares what will come when free room and board disappear. Sure roommates work out for a while, however, in the long run a person gets tired of picking up all the pizza boxes the next morning to prepare for that night's date. I think I have run off on a tangent. Sorry.
I joined the Army a few years after getting out of high school. The funny thing about it was I had originally went to the recruitment center to enlist into the Air Force. They weren't open that day, but the Army's doors were. As it was, I didn't last long in the military and so I moved on to installing cable (my choices for a new career the Army's MOS offered dwindled down to a tank driver - not much out there for that kind of work). I fixed cable TV for 13 years before I made time to finish my novel.
That folks is my life in a nutshell.
(Short version) Adam Santo was born and raised in Southern California. He joined the Army for a short lived career as a soldier. Currently, he lives and writes in Florida with his family and faithful dog, Copper.Link for site and books:

Review
Bitter Cold By Adam Santo
This reader has finished Author Adam Santo, second book in his Temperature Trilogy, Bitter Cold. It is a complex intrinsic tale, mixed with supernatural plot and setting. It has vampires, zombies, witches, even the Boogey Men, Big Foot and so much more. It is a mysterious and suspenseful tale. It has off color humor and common scene narrative between the characters. It has thrilling moments that makes the reader jumped and wonder what will happen next. The tale explores a female zombie being taken hostage by the madmen of the Cross. It is a hidden glimpse of how some faiths were distorted in their witch hunting and discriminated against anyone who was different or did not fit the “norm” of society at one time or another.
They were deemed suspicion and judged guilty before innocent. The witch hunters, The Cross this time always have a motive to discredit and experiment upon abnormal species, this time it is Sally, a zombie that was gifted with the ability to raise the dead and other hidden powers, which she comes to discover on her path of her adventures.
It continues with a sarcastic zombie, Bo, who with the help of a cranky but cunning witch fighting the unknown, vow to rescue the feisty female zombie, who is coming into her powers, able to rise the dead, and The Cross does not like it. The Cross council, kidnaps her and has their torture methods to put fear in their captives, especially ones in their kingdom who do not fit their definition of societal standards. The suspense and conflicts continue non-stop through the author's style of writing that kept this reader enthralled into the story. There is suspense, exciting moments, mixed with folklore, mythology and modern descriptions of incidents that weaved through the story and fit comfortably, not confusing to a thrill seeker. It goes many places from the earthly realm, to the middle limbo and underground back to the earthly realm.
The plot switches from the past to the present, moving at a fast pace. The characters are unforgettable from the fiery female zombie, honorable Big Foot creature protecting her and of course the knight Bo rescuing Sally with help of the dead. This reader was not bored, for there are many battles with the supernatural creatures’ supernatural in the woods and in other planes. The best part was the travelling between realms of the Ghost Train all events leading to events even a mystery assignment from the gate keeper who holds the key to the portal to the living realm.. The tale has complex relationships and supernatural energy twists throughout the whole story along with humorous wit. It concludes with an intriguing end or beginning of what the future holds? The reader will have to see for themselves. Highly recommend if as a reader you are into the supernatural, folk-tales ancient tales and witty humor as it could be a rescue adventure, coming of powers and what lies ahead for a powerful catalyst in the realm of the supernatural?
This reader enjoyed the incidents when Bo rescues Sally and their chase away from the Cross, is haunting, she uses her magic and creates an escape route and they ditch their stalkers. To escape into the limbo realm where they have to board the Ghost Train and travelled further on a destiny to accomplish finding a lost bracelet and return it back to the Gate Keeper to open the portal back to the earthly realm. They arrived in the earthly realm, and Sally’s discovers the truth about her friendship with Bo, this tale touches many emotions, from laughter to anger and cheers the characters to make it through. It is a suspenseful thriller which will keep the reader attentive to the next action, to be delighted with the promise of more to come.

Daylight Review
In the author's words:
"I prolong the sensual glance long enough to affect her, mesmerized myself because she actually seems unfazed before she spills her drink. Empty of any raw emotions I don't take the time to linger and begin to scour for my next mark. But still, her haunting aphotic eyes reside permanently in the back of my mind. She's different than the others. And I sense this, even though I have never been close to her. Perhaps tonight my savoring for her will be quenched."
The author has once again taken a modern tale, added vampires, witches, lusty sensual scenes and twists that stimulate a reader's mind, along with the love triangles, the mysteries, the sacrifices, and so much more to create a wicked story. Which all lovers of the supernatural, paranormal and glimpses of vampires' world all will relish.
This story is a gritty tale of a female vampire and the Grim Reaper, and they bond through suspenseful events. Mattie the main character is a young woman coming of age, and resides with her maker, Mommy Dearest, who turned her. They do not get along, as the mother is a hungry thirsty selfish vampire and alcoholic. They get in to fierce fights and Mattie is neglected. She has to fend for herself, and it is Halloween Eve, and she hikes to a Halloween bash, and meets more then she bargains for. She is pulled in a dark world of needs and desires that cannot be quench, the thirst of the blood to the infatuation of a mysterious stranger. The tale spins into her breaking free and goes to the Big City of Solace to seek her independence and the secret to walk as the dead, not only at night, but in the daylight.
She is thrust into the ancient dynasty world of the Elite Vampires, and is hired to be their servant in exchange for the serum. She is placed into tricky situations, and her knight in shining armor or death is Graham. He seems to appear at of nowhere when she is on the brink of danger and rescues her. In the midst of their events, they are attracted to each other and teased each other to the point of no return. The sensual details are compelling and sizzling, as they fight the Elite.
The tale spins out of control and is wicked as the incidents are fast paced and enticing. The Piece of Resistance was the justice served at the ending, still echoing in this reader's mind. Definitely it is an addicted read and thrill seekers will enjoyed this age mature novel and addicting tale with a promise of more coming.

6 of 7 people found the following review helpful4.0 out of 5 stars Bewitching August 3, 2012
Format:Kindle EditionIt is the first words in the introduction was the spark that compelled me to continue to read it. The beginning of chapter one the author have me, I was hooked with the plot and its possibilities.
It opens with the main character as a little girl, Alyssa dreaming as her father tells her a supernatural tale of their long ago family history about two young people destined to be together but the male character Donovan has to be recognized and accepted by the council to be able to request for the maiden's hand in marriage.
He sets off on a journey to seek the most precious treasure he can find and bring back to the village to prove his worth. Along the way he trips over another supernatural creature trapped in the roots of a tree.
In repayment of being rescued, the stranger gave Donovan what he was looking for and he brings it back to the council. The question after the quest is finished do the young couple lives happily ever after or not? And how does a missing 8th witch coven have to do with a young teenager life, 800 years later?
The plot goes on with the main character as a high school student and living the daily grind and events- of an extraordinary human, for she is a witch and needs to stay cloak in the human realm to not alert the humans to her abilities. Her only release is her two best friends to practice witchcraft with, try not to get into mischief and stay under the radar
As the story continues she describes the life she lives, drag racing, her fear to not become involved with a human as a mate. She is trying to obey the laws of the coven for they only believe in life matches of witches for life.
The way the author writes the plot it is easy to get involved as if you are part of the book.
It is written with easy conversational humanistic comments that kept this reader attentive to the details of the story.
The witches are divided in to the elements group and depending upon their element, they are given certain powers, the main character's is fire, when she is under stress and cannot contain her emotions she sparks and can burn someone if not careful, like when she is thinking about her first break up with her ex, David or the cute guy Marc who is hitting on her, not accepting no when he asks her for a date;
Events arise in the plot and she has to gain control repeating to self "He is not a witch" and gradually wants to let him down gently yet cannot stop thinking about him, gorgeous Marc.
She speaks to her dad when he arrives home from his trip, about her conflicting emotions. Only To discover a dark secret and is given the responsibility of getting closer to the dreamy guy, who will not leave her alone. She decides to have a relationship with him, and as the story gets more exciting she starts to unravel the clues about the mysterious cute guy and her destiny.
Meanwhile she continues on with her secret life as a teen witch, enjoying drag racing with her dad, partying with her friends and guarding her heart from her first love that broke it. He, David wants her back and pulls out all his charms to win her back she is flatter but confused by his attention.
The plot continues with hints of intimacy; written as very delightful descriptive scenes full of romantic attention which would make any female swoon over his masculine approach to win her back.
Yet Marc is also competing for her attention; she is in the midst of a trio, her ex - David and the new guy Marc, it becomes quite intense at times. This story is a mystery, supernatural and a battle of light and good which are all factors to make it stimulating to the reader at the same time and turning pages to see what will happen next, so many events and conflicts.
In the author's words;
"We walk to my car after school; Kelly's car is next to his, so that gives her an excuse to be standing by his car. I was taught that we don't go looking for trouble, the whole do no harm oath. I will say this, witches don't like confrontations, but we will protect ourselves and the ones we love."
I open my car door and say "I will see you tonight. Just follow those directions and meet me by the office about 7:30."
"I will definitely be there." He says as he walks to his car.
I start my car up and think what am I doing? Bringing a human to "hang out" with witches? Have I completely lost my mind, I know dad has good intentions. I just hope this is not a mistake and the night doesn't turn out to be a complete disaster."
The author has the creative insight of including witches spells and traditions though out the story, using all the items, the candles, the magic and the chants.
It is white magic witches powers, the light of goodness, to not harm another but to protect their loved ones in case of danger.
This phase caught this reader's attention:
"Element of water, I call on thee, bring forth your energy. By the powers of three purify the mind, body and spirit within me, element of water, bringer of life; wash away the negative energies and strife. Seal the purity of only love and light in this blessing.
Goddess, hear me, so mote it be."
The plot continues with a macho fight between the ex-David and Marc; this reader was rallying for one of them; the question will be will the loser have to have his memories wipe with a erase memory spell or will he blend into the hidden world of witches and her the royal covens?.
You will have to read this YA and adult story about this young witch and her destiny and what mysteries lies ahead for her and her friends. As a reader I have not found a refreshing book about witches, and their secretive lives written so intensely. This enchanting story is entertaining, it is a light and dark story, full, with action and twists as two forces battled each other and the witches struggle through the darkness and explore their destinies and what is meant to be. "So mote it be."

5.0 out of 5 stars Witches, Light vs. Dark Magic; intense, romantic and suspenseful,September 3, 2012
This review is from: Raven Bound - Book 2 (Crescent Bound Trilogy) (Kindle Edition)It is a story about witches, covens and mysteries and their beliefs, continuation of the first book Crescent Bound. It starts with Alyssa and Marc bonded as a married couple and their love is so deep they can feel each other's pain or confusion when separated. The author starts the story off with the couple and friends and their hobbies which was cars such as Mustangs and top of the line motorcycles, and their daily interaction with their friends who are all witches.
It was entertaining to read about their outings and other interests, such as the songs, clothing and other daily topics young people are interested in. Then the story becomes more chilling as Alyssa is in trouble and goes missing. She was kidnapped and her husband Marc who is an ice element is very lost and furious that he did not protect her. Marc, her father, who is the Head Witch and others covens come together and planned a search and rescue Alyssa mission.
Meanwhile Alyssa, an unique and powerful witch not aware of all of her powers just yet was held captive by a cruel Dr. Jekyll and Hyde powerful dark witch, Nate, and he is cruel to her, punishing her, torturing her and keeps her disoriented, stealing her goodness, her light and turned her towards the darkness he craves. He is abusive and used black magic and poisoned herbs to erase her memory of all good in her life, her Marc, family and friends. This intention was to manipulate her into using her gifts of healing and other talents for Nate and his henchmen to be healed when they are injured by their human hostages, who struggled against their captivity.
Alyssa in her disoriented drugged state realizes Nate was a madman and he wants authority of all witches covens by destroying one coven at a time and targets for another and Alyssa was the key to unlock his future reign of dominance of the witch's realm, declaring her as his alleged life-mate and brainwashed her to obey only his commandments.
Her husband who is hot and sensual sensed her dilemma and felt all her emotional and physical pain she was enduring and desperately wants her back and safe in his embrace. They followed leads and when they challenged the dark witch and his henchmen in a battle of the elements they are defeated and retreated but come back for another match and this is when the intensity of the story becomes interesting and compelled this reader to stay up late to see justice given to the bad guys and Alyssa path back to recovery.
The dark magic toxins were coursing through her veins and it might be too late for the high twelve witches of the world to reverse the spell. Marc and all who loved Alyssa waited in anticipation to welcome the old Alyssa or a stranger back to their lives. The passion and the love they have for each other was sensual enough to make this reader to desired to have a glass of ice cold water next to her when reading the intimate connection between the two life mates. It was refreshing details of hints of their commitment to each other and all they cared about, which is more alluring then right out description. The conclusion was breath-taking and the glimpse into the witches' rituals was exhilarating to feel the goodness and light pour out of the pages.
Author's words: "Some secrets are not meant to be kept...and so it is with the dark Brotherhood of the Raven, in their reach for control they find a secret that leads them in pursuit of the daughter and heir to the most prominent coven in existence." Once they possess her the real challenge is converting her to one of them."

Format:Kindle Edition"This third book of the series was powerful, sensual and an insightful plot, full of suspense and conflict that was a delight to read.
There is many secrets and entertainment all packaged in a modern trilogy that haunts the reader's mind. The ending was a fiery climax, yet as the series is full of secrets so is the future of this author's creativity, this story was a stimulating and entertaining trilogy of the supernatural. Highly recommend this author if you are into a wild ride of reading and increased heartbeats as each character is faced with a confrontation and a sigh when the story concludes or does it?"Seducing a Mermaid (Novelette) http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/1480158674/ref=cm_cr_rev_prod_title
Review on Amazon
Wow is what this reader can say about this short novella, no more like a teaser. It is breath taking written portrait with human language, description of poetic justice. It is about a painter and his object of delight, a mermaid, they become so immensely enmeshed emotionally, physically and spiritually with each, he can no longer tell the difference between reality and fantasy.
Questioning if she a figment of his imagination, yet there is evidence he is not going insane, the kitchen floor is wet with her dripping watery substance and the unforgotten vague sense of her feminine existence surrounds him and pours into his pores and is taunting him every living moment they are apart.
He is so caught in the siren's beauty and song, he becomes obsessed with her and feels completely lost when she disappears without a word. He is attracted to her, first as a subject for his desire to paint alluring pieces for his uprising art gallery opening and then as an urgency that he feels lost and abandoned and has to be with her to breath, or suffocate in the despondency of losing her forever. .
He tries to separate from his eternal goddess of a woman from his delusion by leaving the cursed house by the sea for a brunch with his sister. He hears and senses the desperate longing for her and no other woman will take place of his fantasy. He decides to not stay with sister but to go back to the house by the sea. Everyone is afraid for him and declares for him not to go cross the waters in the stormy weather.
The thunder and lightning of the darkening skies only compelled him more than ever to return back to the Island by the sea and be with his reality or fantasy dream.
The skies are blackening quickly, the thunder is loud and the transport vessel with the old wise coot is not dependable, it is thrown around in the water like a toy boat. The character Sam desires her touch then to live without her it burns his soul to the depths of indescribable longing and he yearns to touch her once more.
The twist at the end was so enriching and the story ended too quickly.
This is a literary masterpiece with an artistic touch of delightful humanistic insight and written as a supernatural story. It had my Irish roots singing as it reached into the depth of this reader's soul in the midst of a thunderstorm and a drinking a glass of wine. This reader was taken away for too brief of a time for a wonderful escape of a gifted writer's mind and will be looking for other works by this insightful and tender but amazing writer.

The witches are divided in to the elements group and depending upon their element, they are given certain powers, the main character's is fire, when she is under stress and cannot contain her emotions she sparks and can burn someone if not careful, like when she is thinking about her first break up with her ex, David or the cute guy Marc who is hitting on her, not accepting no when he asks her for a date;
In the author's words;
Interpreter by Author Shah Fazli
In the author’s words:
“The Taliban sent their men behind our camps to harass us. I heard many interpreters from different camps complaining about someone chasing them. The Taliban had succeeded in beheading two of the interpreters in our camp. They sent their men to find out where we went and where we lived, knowing that was the only other way to capture and eliminate us, apart from ambushing us on one of our patrols or village visits. Sooner or later the interpreters would visit their families because they missed them so much. The Taliban had managed to kill many interpreters and their fathers and brothers. We and our families were considered the Taliban’s number one enemies. We were entitled to be killed out of hand. The Taliban’s men had shot one of the interpreters when he was with his friends having a party in a village. They killed the father of another interpreter who worked in the Marjeh camp. Although the police and army had been informed by the American officers about the men who chased us, they were still alive and free.”
As a reader I was alerted to this book through a Facebook event, Authors to Know, Live Event. I observed in the chat the author speak of his experiences as an Interpreter. Life continues on as in the foreign lands, like the Middle East many soldiers and the military fight against the terrorists and to protect the civilians of the marked territories by rebels, and militants. The Interpreter is a valuable go between for the foreign civilians’ farmers’ and villagers’ and the American’s and International military as a communicator. He is the communicator and translator with the residents of the many small villages targeted by the terrorists and the Taliban. In this book, the author is describing his characters, the main and his connection to the ones around him, and his journey as an interpreter. It is haunting, for one never knows what happens away from the safe boundaries of America. The interpreter has to be fluent in various languages and dialect. He also describes the dangerous events he and the military personnel to the veterans, and others faced when they are sent out on assignments to hunt the Taliban and fight in dirty and unsafe environments to make the Taliban retreat from the villages they take hostage. Shabir, the interpreter as the soldiers live in fear of being executed, blown up or shot by, worse a victim of suicide bombers from the enemies at any moment.
The main character is loyal and committed to his responsibilities, and protected of his adopted field family. He crawled inside jeeps waiting to be called in to defuse a situation or investigated how to assist the attack locations. The Taliban are cruel fighters, executing, beheading and bombing homes, and leaving carnage behind. The Military comes to defend, fight and rebuild what the rebels and terrorists destroy. The interpreter is the translator to complete the agenda, mission and objectives to protect or bring peace to a terrorized location. This author has opened the portal to behind the scenes of what it is like to be on the front and faced the unknown every-day, not certain they will arise to see the sun rise the next morning.
As there is a dark side to the inside view of what happens in the foreign lands as the Middle East, there is a light side as the character has his faith and an angel that comes to reassured him to hold on, as he is there out for revenge yet he is transforming to release his anger and he misses his family. He goes through many conflicts, a lot of suspense as he is marked by the head leader and there is an ongoing feud as the dictator has ordered execution of many close friends and loved ones. He has to stay one step ahead until the final confrontation, and his worst nightmare occurs. The author explores through eyes of anguish, sorrow and hope as his character struggles to live into the next day and finally go home to his large family, he deeply misses.
This was my favorite paragraph in the author’s words; “I woke up in my room, my head full of images of the angel. I no longer saw her but it felt like she was with me every minute. My heart was filled with her and my mind was her home. Her face warmed my body, her words calmed my heart, her hands healed my pain and her thoughts put a smile on my face. I didn't want the girl to leave my head but, looking out of the window, I saw the soldiers coming out of their tents, and I went and queued behind them in the kitchen and listened to them talking.”
As a reader of this insightful book, I discovered the Interpreter’s’ role is not a glamour position, yet it is essential for the military, the fathers, mothers, sons, daughters of all the masses from the military to the civilians. They need the hired heroes to continue the cycle of communication, the role life and protect the brave people in the midst of the assault from the Taliban and rebels. This author has taken darkness, emotional release and turned it in to a poetic and insightful read. This story has a personal touch and a humanistic side of an interpreter, and his destiny. Highly recommend this to all readers, who want to understand an international interpreter and his experiences on the front lines as the author describes the harrow experience with a compassionate tone and wants readers to appreciate the sacrifice all involved and dedicated their lives to achieve peace in war-torn lands, nations and countries.
