Sunny with a Chance of Homicide by T.R.-Stoddard

This book is definitely in the horror realm, it has reality, twilight and fantasy mixed throughout. The author is teasing the reader with all the twists and surreal action and events. It is a gripping tale where the character Randall is raised by a dominant mother, competing brother and a dead father so he is psychological walking a fine line between reality and insanity. There is a dark monster lurking in his soul waiting for the right fantasy or a reality incident to set him off. This is where the boundaries are crossed; his world is shaken, with good and negative events. He meets the girl of his dreams, Allison motivating him to be more assertive and yet the goodness is too much for him and he is threw into a horrific murder plot against a real or imaginary victim, Amanda who he is torturing with graphic actions that can make a weaker stomach heaved up their contents, while his domineering mother is laying in a Florida Hospital in a coma, he goes to visit her to be with her out of duty and maybe for once in his received her approval. Other incidents are pushing him over the edge and he is trying to keep his sanity intact, walking a fine line. Is Randall’s reality a façade, an illusion or is he letting his dark side loose and releasing all of his demons and hatred he has for all the traumas in his life and being ignored as a stereo type quiet geek with no close connections except his pet cat. The cat is his only link to sanity, thinking to self after all you can’t be all evil if you take care of another. There is suspense, action, drama and torture in this tale. In the author’s words: “His thoughts slowly drifted back to Allison. What an absolute gem she was. He desperately wanted to know what she really thought of him now. Now that she knew he had kidnapped an ex-girlfriend and had proceeded to torture her. Not exactly a ringing endorsement when looking for a potential long term romantic partner. She was probably horrified of him, and she should be.” This is a horror psycho plot that chills the reader to the bone and leaving you wanting more or maybe not depending upon how dark one’s thoughts can be. After all ladies and gentlemen how many of us when we gotten our hearts broken by cheating ex’s and want revenge, thought of 1000 ways to kill the traitor. Come on fess up. This is an intense graphic and explosive story about how close one is walking the fine line of sanity and what one can or cannot get away with. The author left the door open to a future continuation. Definitely for the mature adults, graphic violence, language and details for the true horror and criminal genre readers.

"LIFE BEFORE DEATH" BY MATT FREND

*SYNOPSIS:* There’s something you need to know - there's more to life than living. A road trip across the wilds of the Northern Territory, Australia, is a spirited ride through late-twentieth century Australian counter culture. Then an event occurs which gives an insight into the other side of life itself, and provides a message. A message which resolves the ultimate unknown – why are we here?" This is an entertaining tale about unemployed young people who decided that they have enough of the governmental bureaucracy deciding to go into a venture together; create a hash farm in the sticks of Australia. This author has taken the beauty, mystery images of Australia, the politic climate, the anti-social views and other elements of what the young people believe in and created an fun and entertaining story about a journey, the lifestyle and the people these young people meet along the way and the events and incidents they dealt with along starting and accomplishing their business venture.. It has descriptive details of the landscape, the weather, the times they were homeless and found residences be it a stone archway while waiting a fierce storm or a horse stable cottage. How they met with other interested partners and started to break the law but not according to the philosophies they set off on an adventure of a lifetime. They swim in rivers with creatures, travelled the back roads, survive fierce weather and other conditions to make their dream come a reality. There is suspense, drama and excitement wrapped up in this imaginary story and if you like to venture out of the safety of your country and go into another land through a book, this author has the talent to describe all the details to bring the reader into the scene through the character’s eyes. The characters are a cheeky bunch and colorful, easy to bond with. They lived their lives in the moment from fighting crocodiles to training horses and other daily activities. They also experiment with their product and experiences visions and out of body sensations which enhance and/or blow their minds at the same time. This author has deep insight, symbolism and defines the mysteries of life in this 192 page pack psychological tale. The friends lead a care-free life yet live on the edge because the police are aware of their activities and they have to stay one step ahead at all times. I read this as a reviewer and a reader the only negative is some paragraphs are too long but I am aware that this story is in the process of being editing at this moment. This is an in depth and entertaining story about a decade when the youth of Australia faced many harsh storms and stay strong and developed their own lifestyles to survive and awakened their minds to the mysterious meaning of life.

Multiple Sclerosis, an Enigma by Terry Crawford Palardy

This story is a honest look inside the world of a multiple sclerosis patient and woman trying to adjust to the MonSter. It is a good beginner's guide about plotting through the world of auto immune diseases. She is honest and refreshing sharing her thoughts with the readers and tells the pros and cons of this vague disease. She has a strong support system and knows how to advocate to the physicians for the treatment all ill individuals deserved. I like the upbeat positive attitude she is developing along her journey to transform her life from a Type A personality to a mellow lady with I do not care attitude and lives for each day. She was brave enough to put in the Almighty's hands and release herself from Western medication and looking for an better approach to deal with the symptoms of loss muscle and cognitive capabilities. She explains how it affects her and her husband and the adjustments they made to learn how to dance and not be furious with a personal storm some of us experience everyday. Kudos for sharing your experiences and trials with others who might of just received the news "You have MS". This is a good book to start to comes to terms with the diagnosis of any autoimmune condition.

Slings and Arrows by Julie Elizabeth Powell

This story was so powerful and wrought with many emotions and conflicting beliefs. It is about a mother who struggles through losing her two year old baby to brain damage that destroys the brain and deforms the vessel to create a non-response child. She is a shell of a human being, who is encased in a vessel that no longer functions without medical supervision. She is vaguely aware of her environment and stimulus does not awake her from her vegetative state. The mother's heart is breaking, with the many decisions that have to be made, the guilt, the anguish, and the emotional roller coaster of experiencing moments of sanity to insanity as each event the daughter may or may not live through a cardiac arrest or an infection tugged at this reader's heart. This author has taken a plot of a person’s life's storm and wrote with an such intensity a sincere in-depth compassionate story that touches an individual soul to empathize with the mother and her personal battle of giving birth to a beautiful girl, losing her to an illness, struggle through her recuperating but not recuperating, and the incidents of life and death, and the agony of losing her for the final time at the young age of two and then again at 19. This story is very emotional and poetic as the writer describes the journey through the darkness and expressing the mother’s deep pain trying to release the anguish and sharing to heal and help others who not fully acknowledging the tragedy of living in this distraught mother’s shoes, may find solace in reading this inspirational and heart wrenching story. The story explains the many decisions involved from placing her in a medical home that can take care of her needs on a 24 hours basis and the overwhelming guilt that a mother is in one way abandoning her child but at the same time is a warrior. Accepting this was in the best interest of the daughter. As well as the other responsibilities any parent of a disabled child may have to encounter to give their daughters or sons the rights they deserve, even against difficult circumstances. This author has written a powerful description of the seven stages of grief, with her heart and thoughts to help others heal through their darkness and share an inspiring journey through the birth, life and losing a child at a young age of 19, this book could be utilized as a therapeutic method of helping others through the seven stages of grief and give hope to parents in similar situations. This book should be read first and then the amazing one titled Gone, which is based on this powerful catalyst and is phenomenal with a supernatural plot of this mother pondering where her beautiful teenager daughter will go (… in the afterlife…), first when she suffer s through the first event at the young age of two, the in-between years and the concluding of her precious life at 19. It is a reality and fantasy tale that is magical and full of mystery that inspires one to open their minds to the possibility of "what if's". This is an upcoming author that has amazing insight in herself and is able to express it in a unique writing style creative, honest and refreshing and invites readers to read her other fantasy stories, all in one way or another awakens a reader's mind, heart and soul to the wonders and the unknowns of life and the journey we all travel called life. And what destiny has in store for us and will we be as courageous as this non-fictional mother was in opening her world for all to learn from, strengthen by and entertained by. iFeel by Marissa Carmel

The paragraph above was copied out of this supernatural and paranormal story. It is about a earthly woman who is about to face her destiny and meet her soul-mate. Except this soul-mate is not a human, he is a supernatural creature, a cross between an angel and a devil. He was sent to her earthly realm to protect her against foes who are hunting for her, she too is not just human, she is an emipath. A very powerful one with a purple aura and is in serious trouble.

Before meeting the love of her life in a coffee shop she was afraid that she was suffering from a mental imbalance because her thoughts and other sensations did not fit in with the earthly realm and she isolated herself away from any stimulating activity. She was coming to accept this would be her life.

Yet one fateful day she met Justice and his friends and every thing turned upside down and she was thrust into the earthly and supernatural realm and found herself and her purpose, and a new family. This was not done without expreiencing angst about her destiny, the fears of being stalked by a dark evil force and her heart introduction to the joy and deep abyss of being in love. A love that it hurts to breath unless the person is with you at all times. Justice just dissappears one night afterharsh words for three months and her heart is shattering into pieces and she is dealing with the new knowledge of her supernatural birth and is left vunerable to the dangers lurking in the darkness waiting to attack at any moment.

This author has written this for the YA crowd and there are delightful and zany comments that make the reader intrigue as to what the next action or event will be. They lived the life of young people, partying, eating and enjoying life but at the same time death is lurking at the door. This is a sweet sentimental emotional zany plot. A lot of suspense, mystery and action wrapped in the pages.

This book will be available at Createspace and on Amazon.com in the near future. As a reviewer Ihighly recommend it because it is unique and pleasurely entertaining to read. As a reader it tugs at the heart as the author explores the human heart and soul from the highs to the lows of forever love and has charming mysterious Justice protecting her against all evil, it has endearing qualities of imtitimacy and breaking down the barriers of truth and the unknown discovering a powerful bond between a man and a woman that comes once in a lifetime..
