SPACECRAFTS, SPACESHIPS AND STEAMPUNK CRUISERS - PART 4
I recently stumbled upon the works of an artist at DA known as Karanak. He is a Russian guy named Alexey, extremely talented; his DA page is over HERE. Karanak is really good at using 3D software to model futuristic spaceships and battle cruisers. And a lot of his concepts look like they belong within the grand setting of a galaxy like Star Wars. For some strange reason, the Star Trek spaceships have never been as fascinating as those utilized in Star Wars.... not sure why, its just an observation. BTW, Season 5 of the 3D animated Series Star Wars: The Clone Wars will be coming out this fall, sometime in August. I don't really keep up with that cartoon, but those who enjoy light-saber battles will probably like it.
Anyway, check out these cool spaceship and sci fi jet fighter designs! You'll note that Alexey actually chose peculiar names for them: The Lion, The Lynx, The Raven, the Tiger, The Falcon etc. These designs were done for the online game called Star Conflict.

FEMALE MECHA ROBOT DESIGN - VOLSPINA [FROM GODANNAR ANIME!]

Those of you familiar with various giant-robot animes know that there
are a few female giant mechas, such as the fem-robots in the Shinkon Gattai Goddanner anime series that was launched back in 2003 / 2004 in Japan.
The
series stars Goh [pilot of the male Dannar robot] and Anna [pilot of the female Neo-Okusaer & Go-Okusaer robots]
and those two characters get married.... although Anna is about 15 / 16
years old at the time, thus making fans wonder if her husband is a damn
pedophile. Anna mother is the sexy & sultry Dr. Kiriko Aoi, who is
voiced by Laura Chapman in the EnGRish versions of the anime series. BTW Laura is one of my fav female voice actors, per the deep sultry and often comical nature of her voice. Beyond its abundant fan service, this anime series actually had a strong emotional vibe, and it even had points that were tear-jerkers. Yet it was definitely entertaining from start to finish, and the art style of renowned artist/animator Yasuchika Nagaoka is truly unforgettable.
Anyway, Season 1 & 2 of the Godannar series are available on DVD at most online retail outlets, so you can grab them anytime you feel the urge for a comedic and action-packed sci fi adventure. My focus in this blog article is to showcase Volspina, one of the female Mecha-robot good guys in the anime, and we'll get to her soon.

Anna's voluptuous redhead mother [Dr. Kiriko] is a very strong-willed female protagonist and yet she is also a Milf, per her busty character design and "Jessica Rabbit mannerisms". Kiriko usually helps on the missions by giving commands within the main bridge of the spaceship that serves as a mobile base for the good guys. And she is fond of bossing around her son-in-law, Goh Saruwatari... and she has no problem with putting him in a "face planting bosom headlock" whenever he gets on her nerves.
Now lets move on to the infamous busty giant robot.
This is Volspina, one of the fem-robots from the Godannar anime.
She is made up of two robotic parts; and her two pilots are the Russian lady in the skimpy purple bodysuit named Ekaterina
[the leader] and Kurachyov [her subservient male assistant]. Not sure how the
Japanese animation designers did it, but they actually make Volspina's
large breasts jiggle whenever she springs into action [despite the fact that they should be made of solid metal].

[In the last image on the right, two other female mecha
robots, the Neo-Okusaer and the Core Gunner, are shown; and they are engaged in a
cat-fight]
[You may need to click on the word link that says "Read More" to the see the rest of this lengthy article!]
Volspina is truly one of a kind; I've never quite seen a female giant mecha boob-bot I mean robot designed like this before. Yet she can purely be viewed as the result of a lascivious Japanese man's mind... take a look at her name again: "VOLS-P-INA" - the first five letters are not too far from the hinted word "VOLUPTUOUS". Volspina also has various powerful robotic laser weapons, including some peculiar abilities linked to her huge cleavage, as shown above.
Take a closer look at the multpile screenshots of Volspina below, while Ekaterina [a dominatrix] and Dr. Kiriko Aoi ["the Hot Shounen Mom notoriously known for popping out of her blouse"] are shown below as well:

SHE-HULK ARTWORK AND FRANK CHO COMICS!

The poster I drew was purely imaginative; Spider-man and She-Hulk have never been known to show tremendous emotions towards one another - and I doubt they've ever shared even a casual cheek kiss. Spidey's tastes in women is something that I've never really explored in depth; but I've noted that he does have a thing for blondes [Felicia Hardy, Gwen Stacey etc]...
Frankly, "one hard hump" from She-Hulk would probably break Spidey's pelvis, but thats another topic for another type of blog.
She-Hulk [Jennifer Walters] was created back in 1980 by the legendary Stan Lee and artist John Buscema. And yes, she does look like a sexy female alien with green skin and huge muscles. Although she is often treated like a B-Class character [a supporter / assistant to the true main protagonist], She-Hulk is a strong character with A-Class potential. She has super strength, speed and agility, along with regenerative healing powers. She is cousins with the original Incredible Hulk, Bruce Banner. And over the years, she's had feuds with Rulk, aka the Red-Hulk, combating against him with the help of the Lady Liberators, an all-female group made up of several popular [and unpopular] Marvel Super-heroines.
These next posters and wallpapers of She-Hulk [shown below] were done by Frank Cho a few years ago, in the Hulk #7, Hulk #8 and Hulk #9 comic books from the series tagged as Hulk Volume 2. Most of the time, I've drawn inspiration from the works of my art mentor Terry Dodson [samples of his work are over HERE]. But I will honestly confess that Frank Cho has taught me quite a few things over the years, as I've learned various tricks by observation of his "bodacious curvy works". Frank makes no excuses for drawing voluptuous females with big boobs & big butts, knowing that he is using it as a ploy to get fanboys to buy his art books, comic books and his posters. And that scheme works flawlessly all the time, because men are "visual creatures".

THE FUTURISTIC JAGUAR C-X75 SPORTS CAR!

While having a lightweight aluminum frame and having a plethora of advanced internal controls, this car is equipped with diesel fed micro-gas-turbines [which power the batteries and replace the traditional 4-stroke engine], a power control Eden, and fingertip control buttons. The powerful compact gas turbines are linked to the four electric motors, and those four electric motors drive the four wheels and produce about 778 horsepower. Tagged as a hybrid sports car, Jaguar announced back in May 2011 that the base price range for the C-X75 will be between 1.15 million and 1.48 million dollars. Yeah, that's a bit pricey for a "hybrid". And the vehicle's production doesn't start till 2013. Lets hope that Jaguar hasn't forgotten about the phrase "better priced competition" :)

JOANNA SHARI GALLERY AND ASUMI KOJIMA - SEXY CURVES
Most fan boys know Joanna Shari, one of the popular urban hip-hop models who is half-Italian and half-American. Standing at 5 feet 3 inches tall and having the dress measurement of 36-26-41, Joanna was born in 1986 [she is now 26 years old] and she resides in the NY / NJ area. She commonly does modeling for magazines along with photoshoots for annual calenders. She's been featured in King Magazine, Smooth Mag, Showcase, XXL, Mixed Mag and a host of others. I've posted several pinups of Joanna in this blog; and I often use her as a drawing reference for creating posters of the female characters in the DSNG sci fi series.
One of those sexy characters is Mrs. Asumi Kojima. And she was introduced in DSNG Chronicles Book 7. Although she has an hourglass figure and a sultry appearance, Asumi is actually a villain. She is an affluent business woman, the CEO of Zanja Design Corporation - a company that produces a wide variety of upscale baggage items. And she is also married to filthy rich business man called Mr. Kojima, who has a large weapons smuggling syndicate in the mega state of South Philadelphia [one of the six mega states on planet Avera]. Asumi Kojima has dress measurements of 34DD-24-43 and she is 5 feet 5 inches tall, although she is fond of wearing heeled pumps to boost herself in height.
Asumi is shown above. And Shiro-Kira's costume was designed to resemble a sleek Japanese karate uniform.
In the DSNG Book 7 storyline, through a covert associate named Mr. Zen, Asumi is introduced to Carl Rozenberger, the director of the NCI - the National Crime Investigation Agency, which is similar to the FBI. And with much effort, Carl cajoles her into taking up a gritty job on his behalf. Therefore, Asumi is sponsored to take up her alternate identity: thus she becomes the assassin Shiro-Kira. Shiro-Kira is a martial arts expert, skilled in the legendary White Lotus combat technique.... one of the two special techniques taught by an old martial arts instructor known as Sensei Yamaguchi.
The Sensei is Asumi's uncle and he was introduced first in the short 150-page story titled DSNG TALES: UNUSUAL SUSPECT. And the overview of that story with pictures is over HERE.
Although she is a caring mother of 3 adult children [she doesn't look like a milf, but she actually is; since she gained some extra weight after she had the kids], Asumi also has a vicious side, since her uncle trained her in lethal martial arts for many years, dating back to her high school and college days. Asumi is also extremely clever. And as a fighter, she is always ready to fight dirty, in order to gain the victory. While most DSNG sci fi fans are familiar with Kinera Foxx the golden assassin [whose colors are mainly gold and yellow], yet Shiro Kira is also another formidable adversary, whose costume colors are white and gray.

IRONMAN 3 VILLAIN! - IRON PATRIOT BEHIND THE SCENES PHOTO LEAK!

The Iron Patriot armor was worn by Norman Osborn the leader of the Dark Avengers, one of the arch-rivals of Spiderman, shortly after the Marvel Civil War events of 2007 - which culminated in Spidey foolishly revealing his identity to the whole world, and Captain American got killed towards the end of that storyline. Osborn stole the armor pieces from Stark Industries and put them together, but he didn't know how to create the repulsor-ray generators. Thus the Uni-beam source on the chest of the Iron Patriot is a star, as opposed to a triangle or circle.
Anyway, take a look at the red-white-and-blue armor of Norman Osborn, the original Iron Patriot [who led a team of Dark Avengers on a peculiar conquest against the real Avengers] several years ago, along with these behind the scenes images of actor James Badge Dale [who plays Eric Savin and the Iron Patriot character].

So at this point, fans can view Eric Savin as the new Iron Patriot, who will probably go rouge and battle against Tony Stark / Rober Downey Jr. in the forthcoming movie. Yet some are also saying that Coldblood and Iron Patriot might be two different costumes, while they will both be worn by the same character, as he turns from good to evil [thus for the first half of the movie he is the heroic Iron Patriot, and then later he could wear a different armor set and become Coldblood............ Damn you internet fanboys for creating these multi-layered rumors!!].
The exceptional artwork above was done by Marc Silvestri, for a Civil War Comic Cover variant back in 2007. And the cover image with the star-spangled-colored armor was actually a bit of a joke, which later turned into a real comic book in 2008 by Marvel titled "What If"; and in that storyline, Captain America got a hold of some old Ironman gear and led the Avengers against those representing the Hero Registration Initiative.
However, in the Marvel comic chronological storylines, after the Dark Reign saga and during the Red Skull's invasion of America, the Iron Patriot armor was vaporized by Skadi - so technically it doesn't even exist anymore.
Per the rumors on the web, the other villain rumored to be in Iron-man 3 is the Mandarin, who may be played by actor Ben Kingsley. Stay tuned to this blog and I'll keep you posted on the info, once I hear that is fully confirmed.

PAWGS, LATINAS, & URBAN MODELS WITH TATTOOS - SEXY OR NOT?

Anyway as I browsed, I noticed something that made me feel a bit... ambivalent. And by that I mean I am rather undecided, about how much body-paint is too much, upon the body of a young model.
As for guys, we really aren't built for eloquence and adorable beauty. Men ought to be tough and rugged, to a certain degree. And those of you who know of the rugged men who compete as MMA fighters are aware that a lot of those guys are covered in tats from their necks down to their toes.
I'm in my early-30s and I know that having multiple tats are tied to the traits of the hip-hop culture. Yet there was a time that excessive tattoos was more of a "rock & metal thing" than a "hip-hop thing". But with the ascension of Lil Wayne and other young rappers over the past 10 years that have been covered with an overload of body-paint, it seems like the younger generations find it extremely appealing to cover themselves with tattoos.
Sometimes, editors for King, Show or Smooth Girl Magazine will hire digital artists to use Photoshop and blot out
excessive tattoos, so that they are not seen as a distraction to the
inherent beauty of the pawg / latina / urban model featured within the Magazine pages. Now take a look at these "unPhotoshoped" Hip Hop Cake models, and you can be the judge... have some of them gone too far with the tattoos, or do they look even more beautiful and sexy to you with the tats? Plus, consider the placement of their tattoos and imagine them without the scribbles on their skin... and you be the judge on whether it enhances their beauty or not.

[You may need to click on the word link that says "Read More" to the see the rest of this lengthy blog article, along with the names of the models shown above!]

[Yes guys, that's a freakin' wild panther plastered on her left butt cheek... my one question is ... WHY??]
I'm not against tattoos; some of the main characters in the DSNG sci fi series have them.
But has anyone ever considered what would happen if you get 50
tats when you are 20 years old; and then at 40, you don't like half of them
anymore.... or by then you've broken up with "Bubba the luv freak" and now his face
is permanently etched on your butt?? It happens... we all grow out of
clothes and even out of various fashion trends. Yeah, tats can be removed; but
depending on the tone of your epidermal layers, they can still leave a
permanent discolored map upon your skin.
This is my
opinion: Do what you like, since it's your body.... but just make sure
that if you get lots of tats, you get them all for you, and not to
impress/satisfy anyone else. Plus if you're going to get a tat of your lover, then they should also get one of you, on the same day!
Hip-Hop Model role call from the pics above: Malicia Monroe, Joanna Shari, Cassiie, Tehmeena, Brittanya O’Campo, Baby, Sky, Mesha, Creamy, Yarissa. If you right-click on the image and save it, you should see the name of the exact model in the description.
I need to send a shout-out to Felix Natal Jr, who took a lot of these photographs and showcased them in his Blog.

BATMAN AND CATWOMAN - 2012 MOVIE POSTERS, ARTWORK, WALLPAPERS
Here are some new posters / wallpapers that I did featuring Batman and Catwoman. I've got about three versions of this, so you can select the one that you like the most and download it.
And here are some other cool Batman / Dark Knight posters from around the Web.... The artists behind the works below include Janditlev and nemafronspain:
On July 20th 2012, Warner Bros Studios will be releasing the third and final Batman movie from director Christopher Nolan, titled The Dark Knight Rises. And here are a few new Batman, Bane, and Catwoman movie posters that hit the Web yesterday.
[You may need to click on the word link that says "Read More" to the see the rest of this lengthy article!]
Ever since the success of Marvel's The Avengers on May 4th 2012 [which is well on its way to becoming probably the 3rd highest grossing movie of all time with over 1 Billion dollars in gross profits around the world], other movie studio execs have been scrambling to find out how to duplicate the success that Marvel Studios experienced, thus sponsoring their creative directors and interns to head out and literally hunt down the next big blockbuster concept to be licensed, filmed and milked like a fat cash cow for all its worth.
Amidst all of that drama, I will say this: no great franchise rises overnight.
The Avengers comic book series date back to the 1970s, so that concept has been silently building steam for over 30 years. Plus, the success of a project is commonly tied to great actors, who make the movie great. Robert Downey Jr. is one of the main reasons why Ironman was so successful. And he has a ton of other great actors / actresses that back him up on each comic related project. Anyone trying to duplicate the success of The Avengers without having strong roots is really wasting his/her time.
A lot of people don't realize that there was a weak/lame/garbage movie that came out back in 2007 called Red Line, which attempted to duplicate the success of the Fast and Furious franchise. Red Line had a poor plot and a host of low-grade actors, so it was already battling to stand up and gain respect right from the start. It cost about 26 million dollars to make, and it grossed about 6.5 million at the box office.... Not only did that movie flop, but the company that sponsored that hot-stinky-mess also went bankrupt shortly afterwards [due to a variety of reasons that I don't want to delve into right now].
Anyway the bottom line is this: it takes time, effort and a lot of inspiration to create a blockbuster franchise. Many were shocked by the success of the Hunger Games, yet I think the success of that movie was strongly linked to the popularity of the book - which proves that the Hunger Games was not an overnight success. Someone had to write it, pitch it, get it accepted, get it marketed and published, before movie studio exes ever stood up to take notice.... plus there was zero competition in the box office for about 3 weeks, letting the Hunger Games reign supreme in the month of March.... Had the Hunger Games come out just 1 week before The Avengers, it would have failed woefully. Thus, beyond having strong roots in diverse forms of media [books or comics], it should be noted that timing also plays a huge role in the success of any movie franchise.
Trending Question: So you may ask "Mr. Dsng Artist, what do you think about the timing G.I.Joe 2: Retaliation, which has recently been moved from June 29 2012 to March 29 2013?"
My Answer: Honestly guys, after the commercial failure of Battleship [a Hasbro franchise] in the USA, the execs at Hasbro are literally crapping in their pants.... they are the ones who probably prompted their hired movie distributor, Paramount Studios, to shift G.I.Joe 2: Retaliation over to next year, lest they experience more heavy losses due to the current reign of The Avengers, and MIB3 - which is right around the corner. Plus Snow White and the Huntsman [starring Chris Hemsworth/Thor of The Avengers] is also destined to be a big hit on June 1st 2012. Paramount and Hasbro are the same big-time duo behind The Transformers movie franchise; and after seeing what toys can do on the big screen, Hasbro decided to attempt to make lightning strike twice, thus they converted their board-game Battleship into a worthless alien invasion movie.
Truthfully, the Hasbro execs just got greedy, and now their 209-million-dollar-budget Battleship movie is not going to even gross half that amount before its tenure ends [it has currently made about 33 million in the USA]. And now, out of fear and panic, the Hasbro execs want to postpone the release of G.I.Joe 2 and shoot a host of new 3D scenes [I seriously think they just want to literally rewrite it, after noting that it was destined to be another hot-mess, with Channing Tatum/ Duke dying halfway through it]. If they truly do not release the new Joe movie in this year 2012 - after even creating a Superbowl Ad for it back in February - then I can guarantee you that the G.I.Joe 2 movie is not going to do well next year in 2013.... because the fans are not fools. They will be tired of the extended 9-month wait and they will move on to see other fresh 2013 projects, like perhaps Ironman3.

BMW I8 SPYDER - THE EXOTIC HYBRID BEAST
Earlier this year, BMW released the concept sports car dubbed as the I8 Spyder. In general, "Spyder" models are topless roadsters / racers, designed with just one goal in mind: excessive speed. I recall watching a documentary on the German founded BMW corporation and I noticed something that one of their top executive said: "We design cars that look fast even when they are not moving."
And that ideology is quite true, even in the new I-drive line of hybrid cars, which BMW execs are dubbing as the environmentally friendly cars of the future. The I8 does look like a futuristic sci fi vehicle, perhaps even the forerunner of a hovercar. BTW, The forthcoming Total Recall 2012 movie has several police hovercars in it, shown in this article over HERE.
The butterfly doors of the I8 Sypder sports coupe are shown in the wallpapers above. And the interior cockpit of the BMW I8 is shown below, plus its dashboard and futuristic controls are displayed.

Of course the new I8 looks 10-times better [and faster] than the Toyota Prius and other Honda hybrid models out there today [and from what I've heard, most standard hybrids are too damn slow on the freeway]. Yet BMW execs promise that the I8 and other hybrids that they produce will not only look sporty but they will also accelerate like a regular BMW can.
From the collection of wallpapers above you can definitely sense the dynamic vibe that the car designers were striving to capture. And the BMW I8 does look like an exotic beast [hailing from Germany, rather than from Italy, like the Ferrari and Lamborghini brands]. And per the voice activation and Web browsing options available via I-drive technology, this hybrid car just may be a big hit when it's released in the future.
Like its I8 coupe brother, the new I8 Spyder combines power from two different sources: a 131 HP electric motor on the front axle, with a 223 HP
turbocharged three-cylinder petrol engine on the rear wheels. With a
total of 354 HP, the new concept will sprint from 0 to 60 mph in 5
seconds and can hit a top speed of 155 mph. That's not too bad, but its not too great either if you crave speed and acceleration - the Dodge Vipers and Chevy Corvettes will definitely be zooming right past you on the highway.
Nevertheless, while running on electric
only, the I8 Spyder has an autonomy of 19 miles. The electric motor of the I8 is powered by a lithium-ion battery which can be
fully charged from a domestic power socket in less than two hours.
Lets hope that this hybrid sports coupe doesn't have a price tag that makes people consider buying the gas-guzzling counterparts out there. After all, why pay $26,000 for a BMW I8 hybrid when you can get a regular 3-series for $25,000?

And that ideology is quite true, even in the new I-drive line of hybrid cars, which BMW execs are dubbing as the environmentally friendly cars of the future. The I8 does look like a futuristic sci fi vehicle, perhaps even the forerunner of a hovercar. THE AVENGERS 2012 MOVIE REVIEW!
Believe The Hype! [A few spoilers included, but not much!]
All
right, I saw this movie over the weekend and I will say that it was
impressive. Overall, director Joss Whedon [creator of the popular Buffy the Vampire Slayer 1997 TV series and the Firefly 2002
Cable TV series] was able to contrive a storyline that will please
Marvel comic book veterans as well as newbies to the Avengers' superhero
franchise.
At the end of the movie, the legendary
artist/creator Stan lee was credited as an executive producer - I'm
still not certain on what his work on the movie was, but perhaps he
served as a creative consultant. Also, the final script of the movie
executed by Joss Whedon was actually written first by Zak Penn, before
Joss took things over and started modifying it to fit his own expensive
tastes.
Above: Pictures of Captain America [Chris Evans], Iron Man [Robert Downry Jr], Black Widow & Hawkeye
Iron
Man's latest exo-suit combat armor is showcased above [either the Mark
V, VI, VII or VIII.... I've lost count at this juncture]
Yes, Joss Whedon's tastes in terms of mega-movie production and epic battle scales are flashy and expensive; while
sitting in the theater watching the 3D presentation, I specifically said
to myself at two separate junctures: "This damn movie must have cost at
least 200 million dollars to create all the special effects."
Guess what?
I was wrong. I did the research and found that The Avengers movie cost approximately 220 million
dollars. And that doesn't take into consideration the extra 15 - 20
million dollars spent on their global advertising campaign.
Mighty Thor [and his powerful hammer that conducts electricity /lightning bolts] played by Chris Hemsworth.
More of the Black Widow [Scarlet Jo] & Hawkeye [Jeremy Renner], the archer assassin.... who seems to be... a rogue agent???
Loki and Nick Fury, played by Tom Hiddleston and Samuel L Jackson respectively
Now that we're done with the numbers, lets talk about the plot:
This
movie was distinctly story-driven, not character-driven. By that I mean
that it was scripted to create a story that would slow down at
strategic points, just to give you enough time to soak-in the ambience
and nature of the diverse characters. And then the movie would rapidly
speed up just to show off their super powers & abilities.
In
the movie, the cunning god of mischief Loki [played perfectly by Tom
Hiddleston] was the half-brother of Thor [Chris Hemswoth], the god of
thunder. And Loki was the one sponsored by a disciple of Lord Thanos
[leader of the infamous alien Skrulls] to attack earth. And a peculiar
artifact from the Captain America 2011 movie was featured: the Tesseract, an alien energy source of unknown potential.
The
first 5 minutes of the movie starts out at one of the ground bases
belonging to SHIELD, a special government organization that puts tabs on
superhuman beings around the globe. And soon Captain Nick Fury [played
by Samuel L Jackson] arrives via helicopter to hear Special Agent Maria
Hill tell him that the Tesseract is reacting strangely, which could lead
to a nuclear-level explosion or facility implosion. Evacuation of their
personnel ensue, and Special Agent Hawkeye [an archer-assassin that
works for SHIELD] informs Nick Fury that it appears the blue cube - the
Tesseract - is being activated like an interdimensional portal. Thus it
was emanating blue energy, due to the fact that it was opening from the
other end, not the Earth end. Soon an unstable portal opens and Loki
arrives with his mystic spear.
Then the action unfolds from there.
Eventually, the Command & Control Center for the good guys is
transferred to the massive Hellicarrier dropship [a hovercarft navy
carrier vessel], shown below:
[You may need to click on the word link that says "Read More" to the see the rest of this lengthy article!]
The Hellicarier, a navy aircraft carrier that has VTOL hovercraft capabilities; it is the mobile command center of SHIELD.
Later
at the end, there is a 40-minute battle scene as the alien invasion
actually takes place over the cityscape of Manhattan, right beside NYC
[due to that same damn blue cube, which gets abducted by the bad guys
half-way through the movie]. And the disparate members of the Avengers are forced to put their differences aside, in order to fight for the liberation of the planet.
There
were some relationships intertwined into the movie, but nothing overly
romantic. There appears to be a bond of camaraderie between the Black
Widow [played by Scarlett Johansson] and Hawkeye [played by Jeremy
Renner]. They are both assassins for SHIELD and they appear to have some
combat history together. But at one point, in her own hardened way,
Black Widow tells Loki in the movie: "I don't love Hawkeye; love is for
kids".
If that is truly how she thinks, she is one hot lil' mama
with a hardcore mind. In fact, to the amazement of the audience, she did
kick Hawkeye's ass in the movie - you'll have to watch it to know why
she did so. Scarlet-Jo really has a bit of a manly vibe in this
flick.... perhaps it was best for her portrayed character though.
Scarlet Johansson and Jeremy Renner [Black Widow & Hawkeye] sharing a "tender moment".
As the heroes are being recruited by Nick Fury and his
group, the good guys end up fighting each other at one point per
personal egos. And it appears that the "angrily unleashed lightning
bolt" from Thor electrically charges Ironman, jacking up his suit's
energy batteries by 400% - that 1-minute battle clip was released by
Marvel Studios on Youtube about 2 weeks ago, as a teaser.
Honestly
folks, Tony's Iron Man suit is made of a lightweight metallic alloy -
its about 90 percent metal, hence the name "Ironman". Despite its
lightweight construct, Tony's suit is so densely compacted and airtight
that there is no leakage in it [in fact he survives and swims
underwater with that suit at one point in the movie]. Therefore, based
on the laws of physics and conductivity, the lightning bolt blast from
Thor should have killed Tony, roasting him within the airtight suit.
But hey, this is a movie designed for entertainment, so perhaps it doesn't even matter..
As
I said earlier, this movie was story-driven, not character-driven;
there really was no in-depth character development for any of the 6 main
heroes [and honestly, they should have been at least 7 heroes, but the
director completely took out The Wasp from the script's first draft. If you watched the Marvel movie Iron Man,
which was released back in 2008, then you can understand when I say it
was a character-driven story; because the entire plot was believably
supported by the outstanding performance of Robert Downey Jr [who
reprises his role as Tony Stark / Ironman in this new Avengers 2012 movie]. Honestly, the storyline of the Avengers
could have been better developed, but that would have required at least
30 more minutes of cinematography, in order to let you experience the
true lifestyles and unmasked personalities of the super heroes.
Mark Ruffalo, aka Bruce Banner, aka The Incredible Hulk, aka the scientist / gamma ray analyst
On
the other hand, the man who stole the show was......... THE INCREDIBLE
HULK!! Trust me guys, they call him "incredible" for a damngood reason.
He literally kicked the aliens' asses... and a few Avenger asses along
the way [watch for the infamous Sucker Punch, in the Third Act]. Mark
Ruffalo - the guy who played Bruce Banner / the Green Hulk - did an
excellent job. And he also revealed a secret towards the end, explaining
just how he'd learn to control his transformations. Bruce and Tony
Stark were the two geniuses in the movie and they appeared to form a
buddy-bond of their own.
At the very end of the
2-hour-22-minute flick, the heroes prevail..... although the title for
the Greatest Marvel Superhero will be up for grabs; it should be either
Ironman or the Hulk in my opinion, per what happens towards the end. And
it appears that the Stark Towers building will turn into the new
Avengers Tower, in the heart of the state of New York.
If
you want to watch an explosive action movie with magnificent Special FX
and a few comedic interludes wired into it, go ahead and see the Avengers.
It you are a geek at heart, then trust me, you'll want to buy it on
Blueray / DVD right when it's over. Plus, try and stay till the end
after the credits, and you'll watch a funny placid moment ;)
Lastly, you may ask: "So Mr. Dsng Artist, will there be a sequel, aka The Avengers 2?"
And In response I say: "Lets consider two things: the numbers and the relationship."
First of all, the Avengers
made over 140 million dollars overseas, a week before it was released
in the USA. And in 1 day, Friday the 4th of May, in the US, the Avengers 2012 movie grossed over 80 million dollars.... that's just in 1 freakin' day, not the whole 3-day weekend.
Secondly,
Walt Disney is in a passionate love affair with Marvel Entertainment
right now; Disney owns Marvel, having bought them back on December 31st
2009 for $4 Billion Dollars..... and sorry to say it, but right now,
Disney is the pimp, and Marvel studios is the.... beeyatch. And by that
gritty paradigm, I mean that Marvel is going to do everything it can,
just to please Disney.
Speaking in colloquial terms, Disney loves
your goddamn money; therefore, they will do anything and everything
disguised as "entertainment" through Marvel, in order to get your money.
Based on these two points above, you can bet $10 [just like Nick Fury did] that there will be an Avengers 2 movie, sometime within the next 5 years.
