Rihanna's Father Ron Fenty Dies at Age 70: Reports

Rihanna has suffered a devastating family tragedy.

The singer has opened up over the years about her conflicted relationship with her dad, Ron Fenty.

Fenty and Rihanna's mom split up when the singer was a teen, and Rihanna was vocal about some public ups and downs with her father over the years.

Ron Fenty has now passed away at the age of 70.

People confirmed on May 31 that Fenty had died after Starcom Network first reported it. That site reported that Fenty had died after a "brief illness" in Los Angeles in the early morning hours of May 31. The official cause of death was not released.

"Family members have gathered in California," after his death, the site reported.

Rihanna's brother, Rajad Fenty, "was photographed arriving at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center," on May 28, TMZ reported, adding that Rihanna was "also in the car." The singer is currently pregnant.

Rihanna is from a blended family. According to TMZ, Ron Fenty and her mom, Monica Braithwaite, had three kids together: Rihanna, Rajad, and Rorrey. According to People, Ron Fenty had three other kids from other relationships, Samantha, Kandy, and Jamie, Rihanna's half-siblings.

The relationship was troubled over the years.

In 2011, Rihanna opened up to Vogue about her dad allegedly turning his back on her "for cash," Billboard reported.

“It really makes me question what I have become to my father. Like, what do I even mean to him? …..It’s really strange," she told Vogue, in an excerpt preserved by Billboard.

"That’s the only word I can think of to describe it, because you grow up with your father, you know him, you are a part of him, for goodness’ sakes!" Rihanna told Vogue. "And then he does something so bizarre that I can’t begin to wrap my mind around it. You hear the horror stories about people going behind people’s backs and doing strange things, but you always think, Not my family. My father would never do that to me.”

In 2019, Rihanna filed a lawsuit that accused her dad of "exploiting her name in what she says are his own million-dollar business deals,"

Rihanna's full name is Robyn Rihanna Fenty.

Delta Responds to Moana Girl's Viral Singing During Hours-Long Flight Delay

Delta Air Lines was forced to release a statement after customers grew furious when, during a two-hour flight delay, a young girl essentially held passengers hostage with her rendition of "How Far I'll Go" from Disney's 2016 Moana.

"We appreciate the customer sharing her talents and apologize to our customers for the delay in their travels," a Delta Air Lines spokesperson said in a statement to Newsweek.

The flight's takeoff to Orlando was initially delayed for two hours due to bad weather. Things got worse when the flight circled its destination city for another two hours. It's unclear when, but at some point it seems like the young girl was invited by a flight attendant to sing on the flight crew's intercom system.

When your Delta flight is delayed 2 hours and you circle Orlando for another 2… But then a little girl sings Moana on the crew mic and suddenly everything feels okay 🥹🎤✨ #DeltaAirlines #FlightDelay #OrlandoWeather #Moana #Wholesome #InFlightEntertainment #DisneyMagic #FeelGood

According to video shared on social media, some passengers started singing along. But not everyone was entertained by the impromptu performance. Passengers on the flight took to social media and posted the video while also sharing their disdain at yet another hiccup to their already-delayed journey.

A woman who was on the flight shared, "We were delayed by about almost an hour and a half, two hours to even get on the plane, so tensions are already high. People are pissed, they’ve missed connections, and some people just wanna get home.”

Some passengers were furious as their Delta in-flight entertainment screens were interrupted as the young girl performed the entire song.

As one TikToker suggested, "NEVER PERFORM FOR PEOPLE BEING HELD CAPTIVE 😂😂😂."

Taylor Swift’s Long-Awaited Win Leaves Scooter Braun With Just Five Words

Scooter Braun has issued a five-word response to the news that Taylor Swift has finally bought back the rights to her master recordings.

“I am happy for her,” Braun said in a brief statement to The Independent, after Swift announced her long-awaited deal to regain ownership of her first six albums.

The move marks a major victory for Swift, who has been locked in a high-profile feud with Braun since 2019. That year, Braun’s Ithaca Holdings acquired Big Machine Records, giving him control of Swift’s masters in a deal she described as her “worst-case scenario.” Swift publicly accused Braun of “manipulative bullying” and said she was denied the chance to buy back her masters outright, instead being offered a deal to “earn” them back one album at a time.

Braun later sold Swift’s masters to Shamrock Capital for more than $300 million, a move that reignited the feud. Swift, 35, accused Braun of selling her music without her knowledge... again... and announced plans to re-record her early albums to regain control. Since then, she has released four re-recorded albums under the “Taylor’s Version” banner.

Swift’s recent announcement revealed that she had successfully purchased her masters from Shamrock Capital, marking the end of a years-long struggle. “I’ve been bursting into tears of joy at random intervals ever since I found out that this is really happening,” she wrote in an emotional statement. “All of the music I’ve ever made... now belongs... to me. And all my music videos. All the concert films. The album art and photography. The unreleased songs. The memories. The magic. The madness. Every single era.”

Sources close to the deal told People that Braun was not involved in the final agreement, contrary to reports suggesting he had “encouraged” Shamrock to sell. “Taylor now owns all of her music, and this moment finally happened in spite of Scooter Braun, not because of him,” the source said.

For Swift, it’s a long-awaited win. For Braun, his brief statement seems to signal the end of a very public dispute.

Loretta Swit Married Husband Dennis Holahan But Never Had Kids

Loretta Swit is best known to fans as the iconic character Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan on the television series M*A*S*H.

On that show, her connection with Alan Alda's Hawkeye Pierce took center stage. In real life, Swit was only married once, and her family never included children.

The actor Dennis Holahan was her only husband, and they didn't have kids.

Swit died on May 30, 2025, at the age of 87.

According to CBC, Swit married Holahan in 1983. He was an actor "whom she'd met when he was a guest star on M*A*S*H. They divorced in 1995," the site reported.

What character did Holahan play on M*A*S*H? He played Swedish diplomat Per Johannsen, "who was briefly involved with Houlihan," Swit's character, USA Today reported.

According to his IMDb profile, Holahan also had roles in other iconic productions, playing a banker in the Al Pacino classic, Scarface. He also worked as a lawyer and appeared on General Hospital and in Halloween II.

In 1989, People reported that Swit dated Bill Hudson before Hudson's romance with Goldie Hawn, but other than that reference and her marriage to Holahan, her romantic life was kept private.

“I’ve never married, but I’m not against the institution of marriage. I don’t see it for myself at the moment, but that could change any second,” she told The Toledo Blade in 1973. “The kind of life I’ve been thrust into is kind of abnormal, but my brother, who’s gorgeous like Robert Stack, always says, ‘You can take the girl out of Passaic, but you can’t take Passaic out of the girl.” That's a reference to her hometown in New Jersey.

She said she still called her mother and father “like a little kid whenever I need some chicken soup.”

"Loretta Swit's portrayal of Margaret 'Hot Lips' Houlihan was groundbreaking — bringing heart, humour, and strength to one of television comedy's most enduring roles. Her talent extended well beyond that iconic character, with acclaimed work on both stage and screen that showcased her intelligence, versatility, and passion," National Comedy Center executive director Journey Gunderson said in a statement to CBC.

Athlete Banned From 2028 Olympic Games for OnlyFans Account

A British canoeist says he was banned from the 2028 Olympics due to his OnlyFans account.

In an Instagram post in April, Kurts Adams Rozentals stated he got a call from a Paddle UK representative who informed him of his ban.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Kurts Adams Rozentals (@kurtsadams)

“I got a call from a PaddleUK representative, where I was told that i’m banned from competing at the 2nd and final part of GB team selections as well as banned from speaking to my coach, staff and teammates. PaddleUK’s reasoning? My social media posts.”

According to Paddle UK, Rozentals won a silver medal in the canoe slalom at the World Under-23 Championships in 2023, while also picking up a silver as part of a three-man team at the same event.

Rozentals stated he made on OnlyFans account as a means of income.

“I started making what they now describe ‘edgy videos’, with the focus to grow a following, because trying to live on the salary PaddleUK pays their athletes is near impossible.” He continued: “I was sick of worrying how to pay rent, I was sick of being on the verge of homelessness. I did whatever it took to never be in that position. was it unconventional? sure. I’m not perfect, but to ban me from racing? To ban me from speaking to my teammates like i’m some criminal? That’s fu**ing insane.”

According to CNN, Paddle UK is conducting an investigation into Rozentals’ conduct.

“Paddle UK can confirm that in line with our Athlete Disciplinary Policy, an athlete on the canoe slalom programme is under interim action, pending the outcome of an investigation,” the governing body said.“The investigation has been referred to independent investigation service Sport Integrity.”

Alan Alda Remembers Loretta Swit in Heartbreaking Tribute

Alan Alda and Loretta Swit will always be intertwined in many fans' minds because of the connection their characters shared on the hit television series M*A*S*H.

Their characters, Hawkeye Pierce and Margaret "Hot Lips" Houlihan, shared an iconic on-screen kiss during the show's 1983 finale.

A massive audience of nearly 106 million people viewed that 35-second kiss, which "has been called the most expensive in television history," The Hollywood Reporter noted.

Now that Swit has died at the age of 87, many fans were wondering what Alda would say. And he delivered, sharing a lengthy statement on his X page on the evening of May 30, 2025. Alda himself is 89 years old.

"Loretta was a supremely talented actor. She deserved all her 10 EMMY nominations and her 2 wins. But more than acting her part, she created it," he wrote.

"She worked hard in showing the writing staff how they could turn the character from a one-joke sexist stereotype into a real person -- with real feelings and ambitions. We celebrated the day the script came out listing her character not as Hot Lips, but as Margaret. Loretta made the most of her time here."

Swit's maid found her deceased inside her New York apartment, according to TMZ. Her publicist told TMZ that she died of natural causes, but her official cause of death has not been released yet. She was pronounced dead around noon, the site reported.

Fans weighed in on Alda's comment thread. "It's because of you guys I became a nurse and learned that showing your human to your patients isn't a bad thing. Thanks, to both of you. My most sincere condolences," wrote one.

"She held her own with you guys in a time where that was not always easy. Helped create on of the greatest shows of all time. Rest in peace," another fan wrote.
