Popular American Drink Sells Out Just Minutes After New Release
The Capri-Sun drink has been a well-known product for the past few decades in the United States.
The drink was originally founded in 1969 in a first-of-its-kind stand-up pouch.
Later, it became a go-to option for kids' drinks, and the variety of flavors, fun packaging, and the stand-up pouch have made this drink very common.
Recently, Capri-Sun announced a new pouch, its longest ever at 15 inches tall, with an extra-long straw just in time for the longest day of the year.
Well, they didn't last long.
Senior brand Manager Jessica Barker released a statement that the drinks sold out in just minutes, per Saman Shafiq of USA TODAY.
"We know our fans love discovering new twists on our iconic pouch, but the response to our longest pouch ever blew us away. Both drops sold out in just minutes—four and six, to be exact—which is a pretty clear sign that our fans are just as serious about fun as we are."

The "Summer Solstice" pouch is in testament to the summer solstice, which is the longest day of the year and is on June 20 in 2025.
The pouch was on the Walmart website and listed at a price of $1.50, but it now shows out of stock.
Barker also added that the pouch will not be restocked, but admitted it was nice to see fans excited.
"We created the limited-edition pouches to celebrate the start of summer in a big way, and we’re thrilled to see just how much people loved it," Barker said.

Olivia Dunne Turns Heads With Post During Paul Skenes’ Game
The Detroit Tigers had a little fun with Pittsburgh Pirates superstar pitcher Paul Skenes, and it involved his girlfriend, Olivia Dunne.
During the Thursday afternoon game between the Tigers and Pirates in Detroit, which also saw Skenes starting, the Tigers mascot could be seen holding a sign behind home plate referencing Dunne that Skenes could definitely see.
"Sup Livvy Dunne," the sign, which also included hearts on it, read.
No doubt a funny little troll from the Tigers mascot, but Dunne had the perfect response, also.
"Sorry... not my type of tiger," Dunne wrote on X.
Of course, Dunne's type of tiger is the LSU tiger, the mascot of the college she attended. Dunne was a gymnast at the school before her graduation in December of 2024.

"Turning down Paws is insane," one fan joked in response.
"It was funny, though," another commenter said. "Paul is dominant so far."
"Cook him," one fan urged Dunne in a reply.
"This is legitimately funny," a different response read.
"At least he got a reply," said another fan.
LSU is also where Skenes and Dunne met. Skenes was a superstar pitcher for the Tigers before he was drafted by the Pirates with the No. 1 overall selection in the 2023 MLB June Amateur Draft.
Dunne rose to superstardom as an online influencer. Dunne has approximately 13 million followers across TikTok and Instagram.

Meanwhile, Skenes is in his second season in the MLB and has been as advertised for the Pirates, even with Pittsburgh being an awful team.
Entering Thursday's game, Skenes was 4-6 with an impressive 1.78 ERA. He is arguably the best pitcher in baseball.

What Chobani’s CEO Just Admitted About Ingredient Changes
Chobani founder and CEO Hamdi Ulukaya isn't backing down from the company's long-standing commitment to cleaner labels and healthier products.
However during a recent appearance at The Wall Street Journal's Global Food Forum, he warned that the growing push to eliminate certain ingredients from packaged foods—even with good intentions—could backfire. In fact, it could hurt the very consumers it's meant to help.
The movement, dubbed "Make America Healthy Again" (MAHA) and championed by Health and Human Services Secretary Robert F. Kennedy Jr., aims to eliminate additives like artificial dyes, high-fructose corn syrup, and other processed ingredients from food sold in the U.S.
Business Insider reported that Ulukaya agrees in principle, having built Chobani's brand on the promise of simple ingredients. Still, he cautioned that such efforts could have unintended consequences.
"Everybody wants to eat good," Ulukaya said. "But I don't want to pay $3 for a cup of yogurt."
That's the dilemma. Reformulating products without common additives is often expensive—and not always well-received by consumers.
Ulukaya gave the example of Chobani's oat milk, which recently underwent a two-year reformulation process to remove dipotassium phosphate, a compound that helped the milk foam better for baristas and coffee drinkers. Customers noticed and not necessarily in a good way.
"Yesterday, I got a consumer complaint," he said. "It said, 'My oat milk is not foaming as good as it used to.'"

Even small changes—like swapping the type of vanilla used in yogurt—can draw backlash from loyal buyers. That tension, Ulukaya explained, creates a real challenge for food manufacturers trying to stay ahead of evolving standards without alienating their base or raising prices beyond reach.
"They don't want to take those risks," he said of other brands. "People get really, really pissed."
For Ulukaya, the path forward is about balance. He believes companies should continue to move toward cleaner ingredients, but they also need to make those products accessible and affordable.
If not, he warns, a well-meaning movement could end up dividing the market and leaving many consumers behind.

'Scrubs' Creator Says Reboot's ‘Hardest Part’ Is Zach Braff & Donald Faison Have Aged
While it’s been more than 15 years since the last episode of the hit medical series Scrubs aired, the response following the news of its return proves that fans’ appreciation of the show remains as strong as ever.
The return of Sacred Heart Hospital's beloved medical staff was first reported by Deadline, and it'll be led by Zach Braff, reprising his role as the main character, JD, aka John Dorian and Donald Faison, who's back in his leading role as Turk alongside his best buddy.
While others have signed on for the Scrubs reboot, original creator Bill Lawrence is also back in the fold. Lawrence made a few noteworthy comments when he recently opened up about the upcoming show in an interview with TV Line.

While Lawrence's first interesting comment may seem obvious to some fans, he revealed that the show "starts with JD and Turk."
“I hate the narrative, like, ‘Oh, the ninth year sucked.’ No, it didn’t,” Lawrence maintains. “It’s sour grapes, whatever, I’m so lucky to have done it. I didn’t get to work on [that season] as much, but that writing staff did a great job, and I think Kerry Bishé, Michael Mosley, Eliza Coupe and Dave Franco have all gone on to have great careers because they were really good."
"If it had been a spinoff called Scrubs: Med or Scrubs: Med School, it would not have been judged as harshly, but I understand the business of that [decision]. This one is [also] called Scrubs, and it starts with JD and Turk.”
The dynamic duo's on-screen bromance helped make Scrubs as popular as it was. However, Lawrence followed that up with a moment of blunt honesty while revealing that the "hardest part" of the reboot is also JD and Turk.

"The hardest part is that Zach and Donald have aged," Lawrence says with a laugh. "People still have that affinity, and love, for that goofy youthfulness — it’s why the T-Mobile commercials work so well. But if I saw two guys in their late 40s/early 50s doing 'World’s Most Giant Doctor,’ and carrying each other around all the time, I would go, 'What the f--k is going on,’ you know?"
It's a fair point, and Lawrence explained how that will factor into the upcoming show's primary focus.
"To see what that [friendship] looks like at their age, and [take] a comedic look at what medicine has become since those kids started out as interns, and see how our people would look at it, deal with it, and try to remain optimistic," he explained.
It's also not surprising that Lawrence and company sound as though they're already prepared with a plan for the approach to the show's popular duo. The big question now becomes how the Scrubs reboot will come together and, more importantly, how it'll be received by longtime fans of the series.

Target CEO Admits Sales Struggles as Company Rolls Out Major Fix
Target is pulling out all the stops after a year of steady decline.
CEO Brian Cornell isn't sugarcoating the problem. "We're not satisfied with this performance," he said during the company's latest earnings call, citing ongoing drops in traffic and sales, especially in discretionary categories.
The retail giant, once a pandemic-era powerhouse, has seen demand for nonessential goods shrink under the weight of inflation and shifting consumer habits. While other retailers like Walmart and Costco face similar headwinds, Target's losses have been sharp enough to spark action from the top.
Cornell admitted several factors have compounded the situation: "Five consecutive months of declining consumer confidence, uncertainty regarding tariffs, and reaction to belonging updates in January," he explained. But rather than just listing obstacles, he promised urgent course correction.
That fix? Go back to value, Style On Main reported.
"For the summer season, we’re offering more than 10,000 new items starting at just $1," Cornell revealed. He was referencing the company's popular Bullseye’s Playground section, where most items cap out at $5. Beauty, school supplies, and household goods are all part of the plan.
The shift is more than seasonal. Cornell has empowered COO Michael Fiddelke to lead a new Enterprise Acceleration Office tasked with streamlining operations and improving inventory reliability. Fiddelke, a 20-year Target veteran, is charged with helping the company move "faster and smarter," with a focus on improving stock levels on top-selling items and minimizing losses from theft and waste.
"We've made real progress on inventory shrink," Fiddelke noted, pointing to stronger profit margins thanks to tighter controls.
He added that Target is also prioritizing availability during peak shopping periods—a subtle nod to frustrations many shoppers felt over empty shelves during the holidays.
Back-to-school and college season will be the next big test, and it starts in just a couple of weeks. Cornell said Target plans to "stand tall for value" during that stretch, focusing on affordability as families gear up for major purchases.
Ultimately, the message is clear: Target knows it slipped. Now it's doubling down on the simple things that made it a household name in the first place.
All eyes will be on Target's new strategy as the coming shopping season begins.

Taylor Swift's Hospital Visit Triggers Wave of Donations to 3 Young Patients
Taylor Swift's proving that just showing up goes a long, long way.
Just days after her visit last week to Joe DiMaggio Children's Hospital in Hollywood, FL., a surge of donations have hit GoFundMe accounts launched for three young patients who find themselves in the battle of their tiny lives.
After Swift visited a handful of patients at the hospital, photos and videos of the visit quickly started circulating social media, prompting Swifties to start fundraisers for the young patients or find, share and donate to the GoFundMe accounts.
One of those patients is 7-year-old Majesty, who five years ago underwent a heart transplant. She was born with hypertrophic cardiomyopathy and diagnosed with Noonan syndrome, which is a genetic condition that causes heart problems in a child.
"We as parents try our best to make sure she doesn’t look like what she goes through," the fundraiser states. "She is truly an amazing little Princess. She loves to dress up and go places. She loves princess dresses and glittery things."
Swifties soon flooded Majesty's GoFundMe with $13 donations, Swift's favorite number. The fundraiser has so far raised more than $14,000 of its $24,000 goal.

Then there's Zoe, who has been battling neuroblastoma for almost seven years. Neuroblastoma is a rare cancer in children. According to her GoFundMe, Zoe is "a brave and resilient 10 year-old girl."
"Despite her young age, Zoe has faced countless treatments, hospital visits, surgeries and medical challenges with incredible strength," the fundraiser states. "Her journey has been long and difficult, but she continues to inspire everyone around her with her courage and positive spirit."

Aaliyah is 2 years old and battling brain cancer. Swift posed for a photo with Aaliyah's mom alongside the child's hospital bed. In her very young life, Aaliyah has already undergone brain surgery to remove a tumor. She'll undergoing chemo for the next six months, all the while Aaliyah's mom's boyfriend takes care of their 11-year-old daughter, 9-year-old son and 5-month old daughter at home.
"They are in good hands, but it ain't mama taking care of them, so it's not the same," the fundraiser states. "Having to pay for medical bills, traveling, food, rent, and utilities while still trying to make my baby girl feel at home away from home, things have been difficult."
The fundraiser has raised more than $57,000 of its $100,000 goal.
Swift visited the hospital the day after she and her boyfriend, NFL star Travis Kelce, attended Game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final between the Edmonton Oilers and Florida Panthers.
After Swift's visit, Dr. Jill Whitehouse, chief of surgery at the children's hospital, praised Swift for being "undeniably one of the kindest human beings I have ever had the privilege of meeting."
Charlotte Hotel Shuts Down After Tragic Incident and Growing Crime Concerns
A Charlotte hotel has officially shut down after mounting security concerns, rising crime, and a recent tragedy pushed the property past a breaking point.
The Baymont Hotel on Equipment Drive, long marketed as a safe and affordable option for travelers, closed this week following an announcement from Cedric Dean. Dean is the founder and CEO of the HELP Program, which operates the site. CBS 17 reported the closure follows several months of escalating safety issues and community tension.
"From day one, we hoped this space would serve as a secure and respectful place for guests and neighbors alike," Dean said in a statement Tuesday. "But we’ve reached a point where the situation is no longer sustainable."
According to Dean, the tipping point came after a woman and a young child were recently found dead in one of the rooms. While details about their deaths remain under investigation, the incident underscored broader concerns about the safety of the property and the surrounding area.
In the weeks and months prior, the hotel had reportedly been the site of gun violence, suspected drug activity, and other disturbances.
Dean said that despite attempts to implement stricter security measures and work alongside law enforcement, he faced unexpected barriers. He alleged that efforts to remove individuals known to be causing issues were blocked, leaving his team with limited options to improve conditions.
"There were circumstances we couldn't control," he said, "and people actively working against us."
In the wake of the shutdown, Dean and his team plan to partner with safety professionals, community leaders, and legal counsel to examine the full scope of what happened. They hope to determine whether any outside parties contributed to the problems.
While the long-term future of the property remains uncertain, the decision to shut down has already impacted nearby residents and travelers who frequented the hotel.
Some community members expressed concern over losing another affordable lodging option, while others acknowledged relief over what they felt had become an increasingly dangerous environment.

Mark Walter's net worth is estimated by Forbes at more than $6 billion, and the wildlife preserve is one of the couple's most unusual holdings. Walter also owns the Los Angeles Dodgers.
The Buss family entered into an agreement to sell majority ownership of the Los Angeles Lakers to Mark Walter "for a franchise valuation of approximately $10 billion," ESPN reported on June 18.
White Oak Conservation describes itself as a "refuge for rare species funded by philanthropists Mark and Kimbra Walter."
"White Oak is a state-of-the-art, scientific education and conservation center in Northern Florida focused on saving and recovering populations of rare species, building assurance populations, researching animal health, convening experts and educating the next generation of conservation experts," the Walter Family Causes website says.
A herd of Asian elephants arrived in 2021.
“We are thrilled to give these elephants a place to wander and explore,” said Mark and Kimbra Walter on the website. “We are working to protect wild animals in their native habitats. But for these elephants that can’t be released, we are pleased to give them a place where they can live comfortably for the rest of their lives.”
"White Oak is widely respected among conservationists for its work in protecting and propagating endangered animals, specifically rhinoceros, cheetah, antelope and okapi (a rare giraffe relative)," the website says. "White Oak also works with state and federal agencies, including the US Fish and Wildlife Service, to recover and release into the wild some of Florida’s native inhabitants, including panthers and grasshopper sparrows."
The website contains short bios for both Mark Walter and his wife.
The wildlife preservation efforts are just part of their many philanthropic activities.

The Walters sold their Lincoln Park mansion in Chicago for $4.2 million.
Their current home "is a 26,000-square-foot mansion that they built in the 2010s and now occupy," according to a 2024 article in the Chicago Tribune.
"They built their current mansion across five city lots that they assembled over time, purchasing the land for a total of $9.1 million," that article says.

But, no matter how good Taylor-Johnson is in the new Danny Boyle-directed zombie flick, what he's doing next is on everyone's mind. For years now, Taylor-Johnson has been the leading favorite to take over the role of James Bond. But now, is that actually going to happen?
While on the red carpet for 28 Years Later, Taylor-Johnson was directly asked by Deadline what he's doing next. His answer was simple: "I can't talk about it."

On X, where the brief clip was posted of Taylor-Johnson's non-answer, many users chimed in, noting that this refusal to talk to Deadline could totally mean that Taylor-Johnson does have the job as 007, and is admitting it, by saying he "can't talk about it."
While it's also possible that Taylor-Johnson could be doing some other big franchise (he was the original Quicksilver in the MCU), the idea that he's already locked and loaded to play James Bond is starting to feel more and more possible.
As of this writing, the new 007 film is currently in development by Amazon/MGM. Producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman are prepping the film in London, and rumors are flying about who could play the next James Bond.

TSA Experts Issue Warning About Phones at Security Checkpoints
There's a growing warning for travelers passing through airport security: your phone might not make it to the other side.
A travel expert who goes by Tiffany on TikTok shared a surprising and all-too-common mistake she says could make you a target for theft—placing your phone directly into the TSA bin. It might seem harmless in the moment, but according to her, it's a fast track to losing your most essential piece of tech.
"The thing I'm absolutely never doing when I'm going through TSA—I am not putting my phone directly into one of the containers," she said in a recent video that's racked up thousands of views. "It's always going in a zipped pocket in my bag."
Tiffany says the warning didn’t come from a fellow traveler. It came from a TSA agent.
"He looked at me and said, 'This is the fastest way to get it stolen,'" she recalled.

And he wasn't kidding. Phones are reportedly one of the most stolen items at security checkpoints the New York Post reported. With lines backing up and travelers rushing to reassemble their belongings, it doesn't take much for a thief to snag a phone left unprotected in a bin.
In one case, an Air France flight was forced to return to the gate after a passenger's phone was stolen. It's an inconvenience no one wants, especially when it could be avoided with one simple change.
The TSA says it recovers about 100,000 lost items a year, including electronics. However, it warns that any unclaimed devices will be wiped or destroyed after 30 days to protect sensitive data.

Their advice? Label your devices and keep them secured inside your bag during screening.
For Tiffany and other seasoned travelers, the message is simple: zip it up or risk losing it.
"Always make sure your valuables are zipped up inside your bag when they go through the scanners," she urged.
Because when it comes to your phone, the safest place at security isn't the bin—it's in your bag.
