Where To Stream Aimee Lou Wood's Best Movies and TV Shows

In another universe, Aimee Lou Wood might have been more famous for Euphoria than The White Lotus. Back in 2019, Wood auditioned for the role of Cassie in Euphoria, which, of course, was eventually played by Sydney Sweeney. But, as one of the breakout stars of The White Lotus Season 3, Wood is suddenly on everyone's minds. And, if you're just now becoming a fan of her—and her wonderful, hilarious, facial expressions—there's some good news; her work extends way beyond The White Lotus

While only 31, Aimee Lou Wood has been starring in all kinds of excellent TV series and films for a while now. In addition to her head-turning role as Chelsea, Wood's acting resume is impressive. Here's where to catch the best of all of the English star's works so far.

Aimee Lou Wood in Sex Education Sex Education Season 3. Aimee Lou Wood as Aimee Gibbs, Emma Mackey as Maeve Wiley in Episode 6 of Sex Education Season 3. Cr. Sam Taylor/NETFLIX © 2020

Sam Taylor/NETFLIX

In the first season of Sex Education in 2019, Wood literally bursts onto the screen. In the first sequence of the very first episode, she appears, hilariously, in a full-frontal sex scene. In the moment, Wood is both goofy and real and sets the tone not only for her character (also named Aimee) but for the entire show.

Sex Education—which also stars Asa Butterfield, Gillian Anderson, Emma Mackey, and Ncuti Gatwa, among others—is not necessarily for everyone. But, if you're looking for the beginning of Wood's funny, down-to-earth line delivery, you have to start here.

You can stream Sex Education on Netflix.

Aimee Lou Wood in Daddy Issues

Co-starring with David Morrissey, Wood is the other lead in the 2024 sitcom Daddy Issues. Here, she plays Gemma, an expectant mother who suddenly has to live with her dad. A quirky, very British sitcom, this is an under-the-radar gem.

Daddy Issues streams in the US on the Criterion Channel via Roku.Aimee Lou Wood in Toxic Town

The recent, very powerful miniseries Toxic Town, shows Wood's serious side as she plays Tracey Taylor, a mother impacted by a real-life toxic waste scandal. This four-part miniseries is somewhat under the radar but packed with excellent, urgent performances from not just Wood, but also Jodie Whittaker, Robert Carlyle, and Rory Kinnear.

You can stream Toxic Town on Netflix.Aimee Lou Wood in  The Electrical Life of Louis Wain

This quirky Benedict Cumberbatch-led film is all about a Victorian illustrator named Louis Wain who creates illustrations of cats. While Cumberbatch and Claire Foy get top billing here, Wood's supporting role as one of Wain's sisters, Claire Wain is utterly fantastic. (Reacher fans will also notice the Ducth Giant himself, Olivier Richters in a small role here.)

A great, sentimental date night film, The Electrical Life of Louis Wain is one of those strange 2020-2021 movies that you might have missed because of lockdowns, but's worth a watch now.

You can stream The Electrical Life of Louis Wain on Prime Video.Aimee Lou Wood in The White Lotus Season 3 Aimee Lou Wood in 'The White Lotus' Season 3.

HBO/Warner Bros

Of course, one of the hottest shows on TV is The White Lotus. As with all seasons, the cast tends to be new each time out, so it's still too early to say how Aimee Lou Wood's turn as Chelsea will be regarded in years to come.

But, so far, Wood's charm and stand-out humor have made her one of the brightest spots of The White Lotus. The show always manages to top itself, but Wood's role as Chelsea will be untouchable for years to come.

The White Lotus streams on Max. New episodes drop on Sundays.

Actor From Seinfeld Feels 'Responsible' For 'Raw-Dogging' Travel Trend

Actor Patrick Warburton has a number of television and movie , however it probably wasn't until his debut role on Seinfeld in 1995 as David Puddy, the on-again, off-again boyfriend to Elaine (Julia Louis-Dreyfus) where he really made that leap into becoming a familiar face and voice to a huge national audience.

The 60-year-old Warburton went on to a do ton of voiceover work in particular, most notably his longtime run as Joe Swanson in the Family Guy franchise that's still currently running.

But despite appearing as "Puddy" in just 10 episodes of Seinfeld, the character made quite the lasting impact for fans of the show, to the point Warburton has expressed he "feels a bit responsible" for a viral "raw-dogging" travel trend that's been making the rounds.

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by Patrick Warburton (@paddywarbucks)

"The ultimate Puddy stare | Try this trend at your own risk!" the Instagram caption from Warburton read on Monday, in addition to a slew of hashtags.

Now, before diving into what the actor had to say about why he feels responsible for this trend taking off, it's probably important to offer a quick refresher on what "raw-dogging" a plane flight even means.

Essentially, the trend is centered around a traveler experiencing an entire plane ride without using any form of entertainment or having any kind of distractions, including no food or beverages, which is basically the exact defiant thing "Puddy" did during a 22-hour flight with Elaine in "The Butter Shave" episode that kicked off the final season of Seinfeld.

"So this raw-dogging has become a bit of a thing and I feel a bit responsible," Warburton said in the video before it quickly cuts to the actual scene where Puddy can be seen denying any and all suggestions from Elaine, choosing instead to blankly stare directly ahead at the back of the seat.

"My concern is that somebody's gonna get hurt," the actor continued in that distinct monotone delivery of the beloved Seinfeld character. "And if you go into this thing blindly, you know what I'm saying? Just not reading, watching something, you better be okay with what's going on up here, inside your ol' noggin."

Warburton finished the clip by saying, "Just be careful ... It's not for novices," before offering an alarming bug-eyed stare into the camera.

Amazingly, that advice might actually serve as some pretty sound words to take into account before choosing to boldly "raw-dog" a flight like Puddy so famously did, especially for those coast-to-coast flights and flying internationally.

Although regardless of the choice, what remains impressive is the seemingly ever-lasting power of Seinfeld references and its many distinct characters considering it's been almost 28 years since "The Butter Shave" episode originally aired.

Preliminary Cause of Death for Former Yankees Star Brett Gardner's Son Revealed

On Sunday afternoon former New York Yankees star Brett Gardner and his wife, Jessica, announced the death of their 14-year-old son, Miller.

"With heavy hearts we are saddened to announce the passing of our youngest son, Miller. He was 14 years old and has left us far too soon after falling ill along with several other family members while on vacation," a statement from the family through the Yankees said. "We have so many questions and so few answers at this point, but we do know that he passed away peacefully in his sleep on the morning of Friday, March 21st. Miller was a beloved son and brother and we cannot yet comprehend our life without his infectious smile."

Miller’s body was found Friday in a hotel room in Manuel Antonio, a popular resort area on the country’s Pacific Coast, said Costa Rican Judicial Investigative Agency official Juan Pablo Alvarado Garcia to NBC News.

An initial cause of death was not known when the family first revealed Gardner's passing. However, Garcia revealed Gardner appears to have died by asphyxiation after possibly having gotten sick from eating something during the family vacation in Costa Rica. The results are preliminary, pending a toxicology report and autopsy.

The family received a heartfelt message from the Yankees, whom Gardner played for fourteen seasons from 2008-21.

“Our hearts are heavy, and the Yankees family is filled with grief after learning of the passing of Miller Gardner,” the team said in a statement. “Words feel insignificant and insufficient in trying to describe such an unimaginable loss. It wasn’t just Brett who literally grew up in this organization for more than 17 years—so did his wife, Jessica, and their two boys, Hunter and Miller.”

“We grieve with Brett, Jessica, Hunter, and their community of family and friends in mourning the loss of Miller, who had a spark in his eyes, an outgoing and feisty personality, and a warm and loving nature,” the statement continued. “Our love for the Gardner family is unconditional and absolute, and we will offer our enduring support while understanding their desire for privacy at this time. May Miller rest in peace.”

Hallmark Viewers Demand 1 Thing After Big Announcement

It's been a busy week for Hallmark Media, as they've made a flurry of programming announcements that should make viewers very happy.

One of the most significant announcements came on March 23, when Hallmark dropped the news that their longest-running original series, When Calls the Heart, will be back for a record-breaking 13 seasons.

The announcement has viewers of the show, who often refer to themselves as "Hearties," beside themselves with joy.

However, viewers are making one request of the network when it comes to When Calls the Heart's big return: They don't want to have to wait until 2026 to see it.

Viewers are flooding social media, asking if the new season of the show can premiere in 2025 instead of the confirmed 2026 date. Of course, they know that they probably won't be able to convince the network to move up the premiere date, but it's worth a try, right?

View this post on Instagram

A post shared by When Calls The Heart (@wcth_tv)

In an Instagram post on a page dedicated to When Calls The Heart, one viewer commented, "By 2026, did y'all mean fall 2025?" one asked. Another replied, "No it's 2026. They usually film late summer then we will get the next season probably Feb 2026." So, the original commenter said, "I know. I was being facetious," with a sad face emoji. "I wish it was fall 2025," another stated on the same thread.

Other viewers flooded the post, too. "How about it returns this fall," one viewer asked. "Hoping January 2026 is the date. See you all then," another stated, realizing that if it has to be 2026, she might as well ask for the soonest date in the year possible.

In other Hallmark news, the network is also renewing their time-traveling family drama, The Way Home, for a fourth season, and they've launched their first makeover docuseries business, Home is Where the Heart is, starring actor-woodworker Luke Macfarlane and co-host and designer Olivia Westbrooks.

Can't Afford a Rolex Submariner? This Incredible Diver Is For You

The Rolex Submariner is quite nearly the perfect dive watch. The "no date" version is simple, elegant, and versatile. It’s the OG go anywhere do anything sort of time piece that could easily serve as someone’s "one watch collection." As an archetype dive watch, it’s got everything a one could need underwater and nothing more—time-only, water resistant to 300 meters, and comes equipped with a 60-minute graduated dive bezel. The only knock to be had at the Sub is the $9,200 price tag. Once a tool for divers, it’s now a luxury piece only the well-heeled can afford. But the Baltic Aquascape is the best watch alternative for the storied Rolex—and it's well under $1,000.

Rolex Submariner Dive Watch vs. Baltic Aquascape Dive Watch

Many brands make what we euphemistically call homage pieces—or watch dupes or alternatives colloquially—at more affordable price points. But the French brand Baltic manages to put its own spin on a dive watch clearly inspired by the classic Rolex. The time-only Aquascape, much like the no-date Submariner, features a traditional dive timing bezel and 200 meters of water resistance, which is still much more than you’re likely to need.

The Aquascape’s 39mm case is crafted in 316L stainless steel and is shorn up with a screw-down case-back and screw-down crown. A double-domed sapphire crystal covers the grained black dial, which features three-hands and simple indexes filled with Super-Luminova for easy time telling, day or night.

For those who appreciate vintage vibes, the lack of crown guards and sapphire bezel insert make the Aquascape a bit more akin to the Submariners of the 1960s. Plus there’s a cool, mid-century frogman etched on the caseback.

Baltic Aquascape Dive Watch

Courtesy Image

Inside the watch is powered by a automatic Miyota 9039 which is accurate to ー10~+30 seconds a day and offers a 40 hour power reserve. That’s not nearly as robust as the Sub’s Rolex Calibre 3230’s -2/+2 seconds a day accuracy and approximately 70 hours of power, though given the Aquascape’s $603 price point the comparison is apples to caviar.

Baltic offers the Aquascape in five colors, but the black and silver offers the most traditional Sub-style. By default the watch comes on a rubber strap. For about $83 more, we would upgrade to a flat link, stainless steel bracelet for the aesthetic and all-season utility. At $687 all in, it’s a steal in steel.

4-Time Oscar Winner Could Be Next Bond Director

When it comes to the future of James Bond, fans have a lot more questions than answers.

While we know that there will be another Bond film, the two most pressing queries at the moment are: Who will be the next actor to step into the role of the globe-trotting super-spy, and who will direct the film? As far as that latter question goes, we may be getting closer to an answer.

Related: Could Marvel's Biggest Directors Could Take on the Next James Bond?

While Christopher Nolan’s name has been thrown around a lot, and with good reason, Puck’s Matt Belloni claims in the latest episode of The Town podcast that Alfonso Cuarón might be closing in on the job.

“It’s an informed, speculative pick,” admitted Belloni of his Bond 26 prediction. While he seemingly agrees that a Nolanized Bond movie would be an amazing thing to see, he doesn’t think Amazon has the patience for that to happen right now.

“I think the fact that [Nolan’s] tied up for the next year and a half on The Odyssey, I just don't think Amazon wants to wait that long. I think Jeff Bezos says, ‘Give me my Bond movie now,’ and they just cannot wait,” he opined.

Giving even more credence to the idea of Cuarón behind the camera is the fact that producers Amy Pascal and David Heyman are reportedly being courted to take over the franchise. Cuarón and Heyman go back a long way.

“They go back to Gravity,” said Belloni. “They go back 21, 22 years to Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban. They’ve worked together a long time. They/re friendly. I have heard that there are some talks, that there is a take, and that they are serious.”

Though Belloni made it clear that he’s not hearing that it’s as close to a done deal as being in negotiations for Cuarón to step behind the camera, the Hollywood insider is convinced it could be a great fit.

By all accounts, Amazon is ready to run with the next Bond film, which it hopes to have ready for release by late 2027.

Though Cuarón wrote and directed all seven episodes of the recent Apple TV+ series Disclaimer, starring Cate Blanchett, he has not made a feature film since 2018’s semi-autobiographical Roma, which earned the filmmaker three Oscars, including Best Foreign Language Film of the Year, Best Director, and Best Cinematography (yes, he shot the film himself).

Cuarón and Bond would also not be an unprecedented duo. In December 2024, the Gravity director shared a story about how he was approached about directing a Bond film “ages ago.” He was ready to sign on and get started, then learned that another team would be responsible for directing the main action scenes. “It kind of felt very weird,” he said.

What really sealed the deal on Cuarón declining the opportunity was having dinner with Joel Coen. When he told the No Country for Old Men director about his mixed feelings about the project, and asked whether he would ever direct a Bond movie, Coen responded: “It probably falls into the category of a film I want to watch but not do.” Which is a distinction Cuarón liked, and agreed with at the time. But, by all accounts, it sounds like his opinion on the matter may have changed.

Amy Schumer Announces Decision On Weight Loss Drug

Comedian Amy Schumer has opened up about her decision on weight loss drugs.

Schumer, 43, has been open about her battles with losing weight as a woman in Hollywood. The longtime comedian and "Trainwreck" star previously took a weight loss drug, Wegovy, but she couldn't handle it. Schumer experienced bad side effects from the drug and had to stop.

“I was like puking, I couldn’t handle it. I don’t know if they’ve changed the formula, whatever," she said in a recent Instagram video.

But Schumer has since decided to get back on the weight loss drug train. Schumer is taking Mounjaro, a GLP-1 drug for type 2 diabetes. The drug has also been found to be effective at weight loss. Schumer has also been taking estrogen and progesterone, for her perimenopause symptoms.

It's been a very positive experience, thankfully.

"My symptoms of being in perimenopause have disappeared. My hair is fuller, my skin is better, I have more energy. I want to 'get down' more, if you know what I mean," the Hollywood star said on Instagram.

"I'm talking about sex."

Amy Schumer's fans are praising her for her honesty about her health.

"Yes, health is wealth!" one fan wrote.

"You are the best," one fan added.

"It’s the best!!!! So glad you’re sharing this!!" one fan added.

Schumer added that it's been an overall great experience. She noted that the weight loss drug might not be covered by insurance for everyone, unless you are diagnosed with diabetes or "severe" obesity. But she wanted to be open about her weight loss with her fans.

"So, yeah, that's been great. Mounjaro's been great," Schumer said.

"But I'm having a really good experience, so I wanted to keep it real with you about that."

Schumer did also admit that there's one health craze that she promises to not be a part of.

"I want to commit to you that I will never get lip fillers, so you can always enjoy that I have no top lip," she joked.
