'MobLand' Has a Stacked Cast, Killer Premise, and a Fast-Approaching Release Date
When's the last time we've seen Tom Hardy really kicking some ass? If your answer to that question is one of the Venom movies, or Mad Max: Fury Road, there's some good news. Hardy is back in rare form in a blistering new crime drama TV series called MobLand, and it's from producer/creator Ronan Bennett and action movie demigod and fantastic director, Guy Ritchie.
In addition to Hardy, the cutthroat series stars Pierce Brosnan and Helen Mirren and is coming out very soon. Here's your guide to the MobLand release date, the cast, the trailer, and what the plot of the show is all about. No Spoilers ahead.

MobLand will hit Paramount+ on Sunday, March 30, 2025. New episodes will air every Sunday. Paramount+ shows tend to drop at 12:00 a.m. ET. So, conceivably, if you're on the West Coast, you could watch the first episode of MobLand on Saturday, March 29, at 9:00 p.m.
What is the Plot of MobLand?

Created by Ronan Bennett, the new TV series MobLand originally began life as a prequel to the series Ray Donovan. But, as development went on, it became its own, standalone series.
However, like Ray Donovan, the show focuses on a "fixer" for a specific mob family, in this case, Harry (Tom Hardy), who works for a UK crime family called the Harrigans. The conflicts on the show involve Harry trying to clear up various problems the family finds themselves in, which include a rapidly escalating war with a rival gangster family called the Stevensons.
Here's the official synopsis from Paramount+:
"Power is up for grabs as two warring crime families clash in a battle that threatens to topple empires and ruin lives. In the crossfire stands Harry Da Souza (Hardy), a street-smart ‘fixer’ who knows too well where loyalties lie when opposing forces collide."
Essentially, think The Penguin meets The Sopranos, with Irish and British mobsters.

One of the most appealing things about MobLand is its incredible cast. Not only do you have the Harrigan family and their rivals, but you've also got everyone in Harry's orbit. The show has a lot of overlapping storylines, though pretty much everything comes back to Harry, the man at the center of the spider web.

Gwyneth Paltrow, Meghan Markle Break Silence on Rumored 'Beef' With Surprise Video
Over the course of the last week or so, Oscar-winning actress Gwyneth Paltrow and Meghan Markle—The Duchess of Sussex—have found themselves thrown into a rumored beauty beef that appears to have been only more confusing to the duo already mentioned.
As of last Thursday, Paltrow appeared to have entirely dismissed having any issue with Markle entering the high-profile, wellness and lifestyle space after introducing her new brand, As Ever, as some sort of rival to the 52-year-old actress's existing line with Goop, which was founded back in 2008.
But, sometimes, taking a very clear route to drown out any and all existing noise to deliver the message in blunt fashion becomes necessary, and that's exactly what Paltrow and Markle did.
People were speculating that Gwyneth Paltrow was throwing shade at Meghan Markle in her latest reel.

In an extremely brief but, presumably effective video, Paltrow said as follows:
"I genuinely do not understand this, at all whatsoever, do you understand this?" Paltrow asked as the camera made a quick pan to a shoulder-shrugging Markle, who innocently replied, "Hmm?"
If there were any evidence of hostility between the two, it would be astoundingly difficult to pluck anything of the sort from the above footage.
And sure, there are probably a slew of avenues to pursue when attempting to sternly dismiss an ongoing cycle of endless rumors that come with being a high-profile celebrity—but some credit might be due for this direct approach.
Paltrow choosing to discount the latest and greatest rumors by including Meghan Markle—the apparent "beef" participant—in a video that casually, but very clearly, takes a verbal stomp to said rumors feels like an extremely well-played effort.
If the friendly footage hasn't already put an abrupt halt to the apparent misguided noise by now, there's a good chance no video of the smiling duo paired together will house the power to squash a beef that appears to have never existed.

Joe Rogan Doesn't Hold Back on UFC's Dana White Over Major Investment Mistake
Over the past few years Joe Rogan has made it abundantly clear he's not a fan of Dana White's decision to invest in Power Slap.
“Dudes are getting just knocked into another dimension with a slap,” he said earlier this month. “It’s so crazy to watch. I just don’t understand why people are signing up for that because the thing about fighting is you’re trying to not get hit."
Like, if punches are coming, you’re trying to turn away. You’re trying to move, you’re moving your head off-center line. If you’re slapping, you’re one hundred percent going to get hit. You just have to sit there and take it. Dana White keeps trying to get me to come see. I’m like, ‘Okay, I’ll go. I’ll go to one of these.’ But it’s just so nuts.”

“I think the UFC f--ked up when they went with slap fighting,” Rogan said on his Fight Companion for UFC Fight Night 255. “I’ve been telling them forever, ‘You guys should get into kickboxing.’ If you only like standup fights, it’s not like the old days of kickboxing where they were boring. The knockouts are f--king crazy.
“Kickboxing with MMA gloves in a cage would be giant. Just have a striking-only segment of the UFC. Glory’s got some elite fighters. I watch Glory all the time. It’s f--king exciting, but nobody’s watching it. Nobody knows who these people are.”

Fans Are All Saying the Same Thing About Shailene Woodley's New Beau
Shailene Woodley recently stepped out with someone new, and his appearance has fans buzzing. The Divergent and Big Little Lies star was photographed strolling arm in arm with Emily in Paris star Lucas Bravo.
As TMZ shared on March 25, Bravo and Woodley were spotted holding hands and snuggling in closely to one another as they walked outdoors in Paris, France.
It did not take long for fans to point out that Bravo bears a resemblance to Woodley's ex-fiance, NFL star Aaron Rodgers.

As People shared, Woodley and Rodgers were rumored to be dating in 2020, not long after he split from Danica Patrick and she split from Ben Volavola.
The pair's engagement was announced in February 2021, and their split was confirmed in February 2022.
Disturbing Details Emerge In Hawaii Hiking Trail Attempted Murder Case
A Maui anesthesiologist has been arrested in Oahu, Hawaii after allegedly attempting to murder his wife by pushing her off a popular hiking trail then attacking her with his closed fists and attempting to smash her head in with a rock.
Dr. Gerhardt Konig, 46, was arrested on Monday by Honolulu police at approximately 6:45 p.m. local time, several hours after the alleged attack occurred. Konig was apprehended near Pali Highway, not far from Pali Lookout, where the incident is said to have occurred.

Gerhardt’s wife, Arielle Konig, was rushed to a local emergency room in serious condition around 3:30 p.m. on Monday. She suffered from multiple injuries to her face and head.
According to the New York Post, sources in law enforcement claimed the impetus for the attack was that Arielle, a 36-year-old nuclear engineer, refused to pose for a photo with her husband.
Hawaii News Now reported that Gerhardt also attempted to inject his wife with two syringes, though it’s unknown what drugs—if any—were contained within the needles.
Dr. Gerhardt works as an independent contractor for Maui Health, who has since suspended his employment within their organization.
“Maui Health is committed to patient safety and upholding the highest standards of care,” they said in a statement. “We have been made aware of the allegations against Gerhardt Konig, MD. Dr. Konig is employed by an independent entity contracted to provide medical services at various medical facilities on Maui, including Maui Memorial Medical Center. Dr. Konig’s medical staff privileges at Maui Memorial Medical Center have been suspended pending investigation.
“Maui Health takes these concerns and the safety of its patients very seriously and will cooperate with authorities as appropriate,” the statement continued.
Prior to beginning his work in Hawaii in 2023, Dr. Konig spent nearly 10 years working for the University of Pittsburgh Medical Center, first as a resident from 2013 through 2016 then as a staff anesthesiologist until 2023. From 2017 until 2023, he also served as an assistant professor at the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine.
The couple married in 2018.

On Tuesday night veteran quarterback Russell Wilson finally decided where he would play during the 2025 season.
After a successful stint as the quarterback of the Pittsburgh Steelers for half the 2024 season, Wilson elected to take his talents back to the NFC. He inked a one-year deal with the New York Giants that includes $10.5 million guaranteed and a potential for up to $21 million with incentives.
Wilson isn't the only member of the family spreading good news, though. His wife, Ciara, revealed she's releasing a single titled "Ecstasy" slated to debut on April 4. Her latest post had everyone talking as she strutted to a voiceover.
"Somebody asked me, how are you going to be a wife, a mom, have four kids, be an artist, make an album and run your business at the same time? Me? I tell them, I don't know why they question what a girl can do. Because we already know, ladies, we got this. Let's get it," the voiceover said.
"Never question what she can do. 🖤" the caption of the post read.

Kaitlyn Dever Turns Heads With See-Through Dress At 'The Last Of Us' Premiere
After briefly getting consideration to play Ellie, the protagonist of the video game The Last Of Us, for a previously-planned film adaptation, actress Kaitlyn Dever is now joining the cast of the HBO show as a different character for Season 2. And she looked stunning at the premiere on Monday.
Dever spoke about her previous connection to The Last Of Us during the Season 2 premiere.
“I didn’t even audition. It was only just like meetings I was having with [creator] Neil [Druckmann]. I was going to [Druckmann’s video game company] Naughty Dog and he was showing me how the game was created and definitely giving me spoilers for game years before it came out; I had to carry a lot of weight, it’s been rough these last 10 years, I have to say,” Dever told The Hollywood Reporter.
“I always thought about it as this thing that I bonded a lot with my dad and we played the game together. I had those few months where I was talking to Neil about potentially playing Ellie, but then, as moviemaking goes, that went away for a while.”
The project then pivoted, and Bella Ramsey was cast for the role instead. But now, she's excited to be joining the cast in a different way, playing the character of Abby.
“I was really excited to see it as a show and Bella did such an amazing job and the two of them, Bella and Pedro, do something so magical in the first season that I was honestly just a fan. So when it came back around into my life, it almost felt like, ‘Oh, this was always meant to be in my life, just in a different way,’ and that felt really cool,” Dever said.
Dever joined the rest of the cast at Monday's premiere, where she looked stunning in a long lace gown from Carolina Herrera that was visibly see-through but also classy and sophisticated.

Vittoria Ceretti Reveals 1 'Extremely Annoying' Part of Dating Leonardo DiCaprio
Leonardo DiCaprio’s dating life has remained mostly under wraps in recent years. One reason for this stems from the fact he’s been linked only to Italian model Vittoria Ceretti since August 2023.
Even still, DiCaprio and Ceretti have (mostly) avoided the spotlight over the past 19 months or so. It's rare to hear either DiCaprio or Ceretti offer any insight into their relationship. Still, in a new cover story for Vogue France's April 2025 issue, the latter discussed her relationship with a "very, very famous actor."
The story was translated from French, and as People.com detailed, Ceretti admitted there's one "extremely annoying" aspect of dating someone who has a "larger following than you."

"As soon as you're in a relationship with someone who has a larger following than you, you become 'girlfriend of'—or 'boyfriend of,' for that matter. And that can be extremely annoying. Suddenly, people are talking about you as so-and-so's girlfriend who was so-and-so's ex. So it's not nice to think that you can't love whoever you want, because of the labels people need to stick on you," she said.
Although DiCaprio and Ceretti have remained mostly out of the public eye, they were most recently seen in St. Barts in December 2024.
The pair have been spotted on a few occasions while traveling, and as People detailed, they were photographed in 2024 yachting off the coast of Sardinia.

Maria Shriver has opened up in a new book about the moment her marriage to actor Arnold Schwarzenegger "blew up."
People shared exclusive excerpts from Shriver's new book, I am Maria. Shriver has been known as many different things, including a network news anchor, a member of the Kennedy clan, and the former First Lady of California.
Her marriage to Schwarzenegger publicly imploded when it was revealed that he had fathered a son with a housekeeper. Their marriage did not survive the revelation. She is also the mother to his four kids.
"...My twenty-five-year-long marriage blew up. It broke my heart, it broke my spirit, it broke what was left of me," she wrote.

Shriver wrote that she "even went across the country to a cloistered convent. At the end of my stay there, Mother Dolores took me aside, and in what once again felt like a scene right out of The Sound of Music, said to me, 'Maria. I understand that you like it here very much. But if you’re thinking you can come live with us, let me tell you, you can’t. Our cut-off age is fifty, and you’re fifty-five!'"
She said, “I think what you’re really looking for, my child, is permission to leave your marriage, to be Maria," Shriver wrote, noting, "She hugged me, and then we both wept."
