Chris Pratt Cryptically Addresses Star-Lord's Future in 'Avengers'
By this point, Chris Pratt knows exactly how to play the Marvel game when it comes to side-stepping the topic of his role in upcoming films. Still, when Pratt’s name wasn’t listed on one of the chairs for the initial cast list of Avengers: Doomsday, many fans wanted answers about Star-Lord's outlook for the film.
Pratt finally addressed the million-dollar question this week — sort of.
When asked by Collider about his chair not being shown for the Doomsday live stream, Pratt played coy. The Guardians of the Galaxy actor joked, "I think [my chair] was like far off ... they must have cut away from it ... it was there, I'm sure it was there."
He was then asked if Star-Lord would be seen in Avengers: Secret Wars, to which Pratt responded with at least a semi-answer, even if it was a cryptic one.

"I can't say for fans of mine where they'll see Star-Lord again, but I can tell them — we made a promise at the end of volume three that the legendary Star-Lord will return, and he will return," Pratt said of his Guardians of the Galaxy character.
While that leaves the door open for a possible return to the Avengers in either Doomsday or Secret Wars, it could also signal another Guardians film at some point. It's anyone's guess, and it sounds like fans will have to wait before getting clarity on Pratt's potential involvement in either upcoming Avengers film.

NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas Bashes LeBron James For Warming Up Shirtless
Ahead of Friday night's Rockets-Lakers game in Los Angeles with some potential playoff-seeding implications in play, LeBron James was shown warming up shirtless during an NBA TV broadcast.
The initial intro of the clip—which was done to remind fans that the game in Los Angeles would serve as the second half of NBA TV's doubleheader—didn't exactly come across as the most earth-shattering moment to witness.
Especially when you consider the segment began in such a lighthearted nature, joking about how James would be playing shirtless, which was accompanied by laughter from the panel.
But, well, apparently it was a pretty big deal because Detroit Pistons legend and NBA Hall of Famer Isiah Thomas took great exception to James' choice of attire—or lack thereof.
"I totally 100% object to this ... the professionalism in our NBA league has diminished so much."

Isiah Thomas tees off on LeBron James for warming up shirtless pregame in L.A. 😬 pic.twitter.com/j7YPgkcbrc
"I just totally 100% object to this," Thomas declared with some strong emphasis.
"And if I was the GM or the coach, I would never let one of my players walk out on the floor looking like this," the 63-year-old Thomas continued. "I mean we are a professional NBA league. We ain't summer league. We ain't at the YMCA ... I just think the professionalism in our NBA league has diminished so much."
And Thomas was hardly done there.
"Look, I like LeBron, I'm a fan of his, so forth and so on," Thomas said. "But to walk out on the floor, before a game, with no shirt on and shoot. I mean, come on, man. Where we at? What we doing? Where we at? Now, Adam Silver if you want to fine somebody, fine that! Put a fine on that."
It might be somewhat important to note that in the very brief footage shown of James getting in some early warm-up shots for the late 10:30 p.m. EDT tip-off against Houston, there isn't a person to be seen in the stands and some of the chairs in "celebrity row" had not even been folded down yet.
Regardless, the relatively awkward segment was quickly wrapped up and thrown directly back to the Bucks-Pistons game, which was already underway in the second half.
The clip has since gone viral, with fans piling on Thomas for what were generally perceived as surprising comments, particularly since the two-time NBA champion called for LeBron James to be fined by league commissioner Adam Silver for the shirtless stunt.

Rob McElhenney and Charlie Day’s Popular Apple TV+ Show Canceled Early, Will Get New Ending
Mythic Quest may have been one of Apple TV+’s first original series, but the streamer is pulling the plug on the gamer comedy after four seasons.
Variety was first to report the news that Mythic Quest’s fourth season, which aired its finale on March 26, will be its last. But the network is giving co-creators Charlie Day, Rob McElhenney, and Megan Ganz (all of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia fame) the chance to give the show’s many fans a proper sendoff. An updated version of the season 4 finale, which will feel more like a true ending, will drop on the streaming service next week.

“Endings are hard. But after four incredible seasons, Mythic Quest is coming to a close,” said McElhenney, Ganz, and David Hornsby—all executive producers on the show—in a statement.
“We’re so proud of the show and the world we got to build, and deeply grateful to every cast and crew member who poured their heart into it,” the trio continued. “To all our fans, thank you for playing with us. To our partners at Apple, thank you for believing in the vision from the very beginning. Because endings are hard, with Apple’s blessing we made one final update to our last episode—so we could say goodbye, instead of just game over.”
The workplace comedy followed the lives of the employees of an often dysfunctional video game studio owned by Ian Grimm (McElhenney), the creator of a popular MMORPG titled, yep, Mythic Quest.
Though Apple does not share viewership records for its shows, Mythic Quest appears to have been a success. It has a near-perfect Rotten Tomatoes score of 97 percent, and recently released an “expansion pack” spin-off series, Side Quest, that so far seems to have been warmly received.
Though Day co-created the series, it took until this most recent season for him to make an appearance on the series. With some extra time on their hands, perhaps this means fans will see the long-anticipated 17th season of Sunny they’ve been asking for.
Horror? 'Andor' Creator Hints at Secret 'Star Wars' Project
The hottest Star Wars show in recent memory—at least since The Mandalorian—is almost here. Season 2 of Star Wars: Andor will hit Disney+ on April 22, bringing back the gritty Diego Luna-led series with an impressive 12-episode run. As a spy series, war drama, and political thriller, Andor has broken new ground for the venerable sci-fi franchise. But, what kinds of out-of-the-box Star Wars projects might happen next?
While attending the recent Andor launch in London, series creator Tony Gilroy was asked if there could ever be a horror-themed Star Wars film or series, to which he responded, "They’re [Lucasfilm] doing that. I think they’re doing that. I think that’s in the works, yeah," according to Business Insider.

As far as publicly announced new Star Wars shows or films in development, something connected to a horror movie has never been mentioned by the current Lucasfilm regime under Kathleen Kennedy. In the past, Gilroy has expressed his hope that the Star Wars franchise could explore other genres, including horror. Certainly, some aspects of Andor are more hardcore than previous iterations of Star Wars, and like Rogue One before it, it offers a more unflinching take on what an interstellar civil war might really look like.
Andor Season 2 will conclude the series, which serves as a prequel to both Rogue One (2016) and the original Star Wars film, A New Hope (1977). After that, there will be a Season 2 for Star Wars: Ahsoka, which is currently filming.
The next major Star Wars film is The Mandalorian & Grogu, which hits theaters in May 2026. Daisy Ridley's Star Wars movie is currently in development, while Shawn Levy's hush-hush Star Wars project is picking up a lot of steam and could be announced very soon.
Could more new Star Wars projects be announced, including a horror movie? Possibly. The franchise's biggest convention, Star Wars Celebration, will be held in Japan next week, from April 18 to April 20. Expect plenty of forceful announcements at that time.

George Clooney may be the proud recipient of two Academy Awards, but that doesn’t mean he doesn’t still have plenty to learn about his craft. Case in point: What it’s like to star in a Broadway show.
After three weeks of previews, Clooney’s new—and very first—Broadway play opened at New York City’s Winter Garden Theatre on April 3 (with plenty of his A-list friends in the audience, though wife Amal was noticeably absent). But the former E.R. star found a way to share a bit of the self-deprecating humor he’s so well known for in the production’s playbill.

As People Magazine reports, the star’s bio has begun to go viral both for its brevity and for its levity. All told, it’s less than 30 words. After identifying Clooney as both the star and playwright, his bio reads:
“George’s last time in an Equity theatre was in June of 1986, a play called Vicious at Steppenwolf Theatre. He has never appeared on Broadway so… buckle up.”
George Clooney's Bio for Broadway's 'Good Night, and Good Luck' Goes Viral: 'Buckle Up' https://t.co/mkC7r9RwFf
— People (@people) April 11, 2025
Given that the play is based on the 2005 film of the same name—a biopic of legendary television journalist Edward R. Murrow—which Clooney co-wrote and directed, something tells us he knows what he’s doing here. And so far, the reviews have confirmed that.
The New York Times praised Clooney’s ability to play Murrow “with wit, integrity, and charming modesty” while Variety wrote that the beloved actor “has a deeply felt command of character and a riveting presence.” Which makes one think that, though appreciated, the “buckle up” warning might have been unnecessary.

NASCAR Driver Makes Rare Comment About Taylor Swift
NASCAR driver Josh Berry went to the same Tennessee area high school as Taylor Swift — though the two weren't close — in fact, they weren't even in the same grade. Nevertheless, the fun fact is definitely a conversation starter and it's something that Berry has shared in the past.
“It’s one of those things when you’re doing an interview one day and somebody’s like, ‘Hey, what’s a funny, crazy story about you?'" Berry, 34, said on the Rubbin’ Is Racing podcast. "I’m like, ‘Oh, I went to school with Taylor Swift.' You don’t think that’s that big of a deal. But good gosh, man. It never ends."
Berry went on to explain that he never had any real interactions with the now mega star.
"I didn’t really know her. I know of somebody who knew her kind of deal. But I didn’t really know her," he explained.
Berry also said that he's fielded quite a few questions about Swift since she was linked to Kansas City Chiefs tight end, Travis Kelce. However, he still doesn't have too much to add.
"She starts dating Travis Kelce and it all comes back again," Berry said on the podcast. “I’m like, ‘I don’t care about Travis Kelce. He has nothing to do with me.’ It just never ends."
Swift and Kelce's romance has been one of the most talked about celebrity relationships ever. The two are fairly private, which only increases the curiosity surrounding their union.

Iconic Sci-Fi Series Nabs Early 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score With 41st Season
It’s hard to keep a good Time Lord down. Doctor Who has been through 40 seasons, 15 Doctors, and dozens of companions—yet it somehow manages to keep getting better.
While the 15th season of the revival series (and 41st season overall) won’t air until April 12, it’s already getting some pretty stellar reviews. Enough to earn it a perfect, and rare, 100% score on Rotten Tomatoes.
Related: Final Season of ‘The Handmaid’s Tale’ Snags Rare 100% Rotten Tomatoes Score
It’s a major compliment to Ncuti Gatwa, who began playing the fifteenth incarnation of The Doctor, a.k.a. The Fifteenth Doctor, in 2024. The actor’s first season as The Doctor, which was the first season to air on Disney+ in the U.S., earned an impressive 94% rating from critics on the aggregated review site, while fans were less enthusiastic; it received a 30% rating from more than 1,000 ratings.
Though the new season has yet to premiere for audiences, a handful of critics have seen it and given it overwhelmingly positive reviews, leading to its perfect Rotten Tomatoes score.
Perhaps Inverse’s Hoai-Tran Bui sums up the new season best when she wrote:
“Where the show seemed to be uncertain of its audience and tone in the previous season, Season 2 charges confidently ahead, experimenting with form and social commentary in bold, exciting new ways. 'The Robot Revolution' might be a typically silly and goofy episode of Doctor Who, but it feels fresh because of how the pieces—from the actors to the plot twists—all come together in unexpected ways. It really does make it feel like we’re on the cusp of a revolutionary new era for Doctor Who.”
It’s not the first time critics have been suitably impressed by the legendary sci-fi series. Since the show was rebooted in 2005, virtually every new season (save the very first one, featuring Christopher Eccleston as The Doctor) has scored an equally impressive 100 percent, particularly the seasons featuring David Tennant or Matt Smith as The Doctor. Peter Capaldi and Jodie Whittaker didn’t seem to fare as well.
Gatwa, however, seems to be bringing back some of the old magic (a sonic screwdriver will do that for you).
