Amazon's No. 1 Bestselling Hiking Poles Are Now Under $40, and Shoppers Say They're a Massive Win for Comfort

Will you feel a bit silly the first time you use trekking poles on a hike? Maybe. But many quickly come to enjoy the extra support and stability they offer, particularly on more treacherous excursions. That's why hiking poles, like a good pair of boots and a durable pair of pants, are always a welcome addition to any gear kit, despite the hefty price they usually come with. The good news is that, right now, Amazon has a great deal on its most-purchased pair of collapsible poles just in time for spring.
The Trekology Hiking and Trekking Poles are normally $56, but you can get your hands on a pair now for just $37. That’s a 35% discount on Amazon’s No. 1 bestseller in the category with over 8,000 five-star ratings from shoppers who rave about their “reliable” build that's “sturdy, compact, and lightweight.” They're available in two colors—black and blue—and come in standard or long lengths.
Trekology Hiking and Trekking Poles in Black, $37 (was $56) at Amazon
The two sizes are meant for hikers 4-foot-11 to 5-foot-10 and another for those 5-foot-5 to 6-foot-5 inches tall. Both can be adjusted within a 20-centimeter range when extended, and they fold down to just 15 inches long for easy storage and travel. The poles come with sweat-absorbing EVA foam grips, adjustable wrist straps, and interchangeable tips suited for different kinds of terrain, including mud, snow, concrete, and gravel. And because they’re made of aircraft-grade aluminium, they’re both super strong and incredibly lightweight.
“Took these bad boys on a solo backpacking trip through sand, rock beds, creeks, cliff sides, and I’m happy to say they kept me stable the entire time,” a shopper said. "For the first time after hiking, my knees felt so good," presumably as a result of the poles absorbing much of the force that their knees would have felt. This hiker also said the poles “became part of my body as I hiked, rather than one more thing to lug around.”
Trekology Hiking and Trekking Poles in Blue, $37 (was $56) at Amazon
Another hiker wrote that these poles “have held up over hundreds of miles of intense use,” including getting “caught in between rocks and roots, stuck deep in the mud, and battered endlessly.” They also had praise for the straps, which are “made out of a soft seatbelt-like material, and they're comfortable and strong.” Overall, “You'd be hard-pressed to find a set anywhere near this price point that's as durable and well-designed.”
Trekology Hiking and Trekking Poles are a durable, useful item for any outdoor adventurer to own. The chance to get a pair this well-received for under $50 seldom happens. We’d recommend doing so before the price inevitably goes back up.

Hugely Popular Video Game's Release is Delayed After Decade Wait
Grand Theft Auto VI's release has been delayed until 2026, disappointing already-upset fans who have been waiting over a decade.
Rockstar Games announced on May 2, 2025, that Grand Theft Auto VI is “now coming May 26, 2026.”
“Grand Theft Auto VI is now set to release on May 26, 2026,” the release noted.
“We are very sorry that this is later than you expected," Rockstar Games wrote on X.
According to CNN, Grand Theft Auto IV is "the most hotly anticipated title in video-gaming history." The game was originally supposed to launch in fall 2025, according to CNN. The previous game in the series, Grand Theft Auto V, was released in 2013..
"The interest and excitement surrounding a new Grand Theft Auto has been truly humbling for our entire team. We want to thank you for your support and your patience as we work to finish the game," Rockstar Games wrote.
The company noted: "With every game we have released, the goal has always been to try and exceed your expectations, and Grand Theft Auto VI is no exception. We hope you understand that we need this extra time to deliver at the level of quality you expect and deserve. We look forward to sharing more information with you soon.”
Fans expressed disappointment on X. "The gap between GTA5 and GTA6 will now be longer than it took Rockstar to make every single Grand Theft Auto game prior to GTA5," wrote one.
"Objective updated: Survive till 2026," wrote another.
"I better be able to walk in EVERY house in the city," another person added.
"If you are gonna delay it, at least give us some screenshots. This marketing strategy may be working for you, but it is painful for the fans," wrote another.
According to CNN, video game delays are often due to "rising production costs and growing pressure from players to deliver polished experiences at launch."

Prince Harry Unloads About 'Shocking Truths'
Prince Harry unloaded in a "bombshell" statement and interview about his father, family, and security risks and threats. In a written statement, he said he had uncovered "shocking truths."
The prince opened up to the BBC, and then on the website that he shares with his wife, Meghan, after he lost a legal action seeking government security.
“This all comes from the same institutions that preyed upon my mother, that openly campaigned for the removal of our security, and that continue to incite hatred towards me, my wife and even our children, while at the same time protecting the very power that they should be holding accountable," Prince Harry wrote on May 2, 2025.
To BBC, Harry said he would "love a reconciliation" with his family but revealed his father, King Charles, "won't speak to me because of this security stuff."
He added of his cancer-stricken dad that he did "not know how much longer my father has."
Buckingham Palace responded, according to BBC, "All of these issues have been examined repeatedly and meticulously by the courts, with the same conclusion reached on each occasion."
In the statement on the website, Harry said the process “has only ever been about ensuring my safety and that of my immediate family when we are in the United Kingdom, so that we may safely visit my home country with the same level of security that other governments deem necessary for our protection.”
Harry wrote that the court’s ruling “confirms that the Executive Committee for the Protection of Royalty and Public Figures, known as RAVEC and comprised of senior officials from the Royal Household, Home Office and Metropolitan Police, has failed to follow its own mandated processes for me, which are applied to all other high-risk and high-profile individuals.”
He said he was going to write to the Home Secretary “to ask her to urgently examine the matter and review the RAVEC process.”

Prince Harry said his legal action “has uncovered shocking truths, starting with the fact that the Royal Household are key decision-makers on RAVEC and my sole representation for matters regarding my safety. In this process, I’ve also learned the names of all those involved, many of whom retired immediately after playing their part."
In November 2017, before the Royal Household’s role on RAVEC was known, this "secretive committee concluded that when my wife would join the royal family, she should not receive protection. Only when I asked for the name of the person willing to carry that risk, did they reverse the decision," Harry wrote.
He claimed that, in 2020, RAVEC refused for the first time to conduct the "required annual risk, threat, and impact assessment that their own policies demand.”
“The result was stripping me of the protection I’ve had since birth, whilst signalling to all other governments to do the same. This reckless action knowingly put me and my family in harm’s way. Life is precious, and I understand the fragility of it," said Harry.
Harry said that he tried to “resolve this issue privately” in 2020 and 2021, even "offering to independently cover the costs of necessary and effective police protection in order to keep me and my family safe.” But he said no one “responded directly to me about my offer.”
Prince Harry wrote that, in recent years, “my family and I have been subjected to well-documented neo-Nazi and extremist threats, including Al-Qaeda. There are individuals in prison on UK soil because of such threats.”
He said there was a failure to conduct a “proper risk assessment” that was a “dereliction of duty.”
“The stark difference is I was born into lifelong circumstances that create inherent security risks. My decade of military service, particularly two tours of duty in Afghanistan, as well as social and tabloid media frenzy, have only intensified those threats," Harry wrote.
He said it was “truly devastating” to discover that his “immediate family’s safety was knowingly put at risk, as well as who was behind it and who sanctioned it.”
He said that he and his wife wanted to maintain his “role,” but that this was ultimately refused.
"The UK is my birthplace and will always be part of who I am. It is a place I love and the country where my son was born," Harry wrote. "I’ve only ever wanted to continue my charitable work in supporting the causes and people that mean so much to me, and for my children to know the beauty of my homeland.”
Olivia Dunne Given High Honor at Kentucky Derby Weekend
It's officially Kentucky Derby weekend at Churchill Downs in Louisville, Kentucky, and social media megastar Olivia "Livvy" Dunne is stealing the show.
Dunne, who recently ended her college gymnastics career with the LSU Tigers, is stepping into the next stage of her life as she begins a full-time career as a social media content creator while continuing her relationship with Pittsburgh Pirates superstar pitcher Paul Skenes.
This week, Dunne's budding social media career took her to Churchill Downs in Louisville for the Kentucky Derby. But before derby day on Saturday, Dunne was a special guest at the 2025 Kentucky Oaks on Friday – a major stakes race for three-year-old thoroughbred fillies in before the derby.
While the race is obviously less famous than the Kentucky Derby, the winner receives about $850,000 in purse money, so it's obviously still quite a significant race.
This year, Dunne was chosen to start the 2025 Kentucky Oaks and begin the Kentucky Derby weekend, giving the iconic "riders up," call.

"Kentucky Oaks fans," Dunne began. "Now, for the annual tradition we have all been looking forward to, riders up!"
Dunne turned heads as she introduced the Kentucky Derby weekend in a stunning bright pink dress.
The social media megastar also made it clear that she will be sticking around for the rest of the festivities this weekend, as she captioned a TikTok post "your girls first derby."
Dunne may have stolen the show, but she is hardly the only celebrity who will be in attendance at this year's Kentucky Derby. She is expected to be joined by superstars Travis and Jason Kelce, Chris Stapleton, Lamar Jackson, George Clooney, Taylor Swift, Tracy Morgan, Aaron Rodgers, and others. as well as fellow star social media creators Alix Earle and Alex Cooper.
Clearly, it will be a star-studded event.

Hulk Hogan’s ‘Unrecognizable’ Beard Sparks Confusion—Here’s the Real Reason
Hulk Hogan stepped back into the spotlight this week, but it wasn’t his new business venture that had fans talking—it was his face.
During a Thursday morning appearance on Fox & Friends, the wrestling icon popped up to promote his Real American Beer brand and a brand-new wrestling league geared toward mainstream fans. But social media had other priorities.
The 71-year-old’s signature handlebar mustache was present and accounted for, but it was overshadowed—literally—by an unexpected five o’clock shadow that looked like it had wandered in from another decade. Viewers were quick to jump online to question what, exactly, was going on with Hogan’s look.
“WTF is that beard?” one user asked. Another added, “Hulk is unrecognizable!”
View this post on InstagramA post shared by FOX & Friends (@foxandfriends)
For those not up on their wrestling lore, the confusion is understandable. But longtime fans were quick to connect the dots: Hogan’s new facial hair is a throwback to his heel turn in the 1990s when he joined the infamous New World Order (NWO) and dyed his trademark blond look dark to match his villainous persona.
“The amount of dumb people that do not understand that Hogan has dyed his hair black to bring nostalgia to his NWO days is laughable,” one commenter posted in defense.

While the buzz may have started over his beard, Hogan had more than facial hair to promote. He told the hosts his league isn’t aiming to compete with WWE or the UFC—but he’s not thinking small either.
“Our goal is not to be competitive... but to be just as big or bigger because this is an underserved market,” Hogan said.
The first event in the Real American Freestyle Wrestling league kicks off in August in Cleveland. Judging by the social media reaction, they might want to stock up on merch—and razors.
Little Caesars Announces Exciting Menu News
Little Caesars is known for its pizza offerings, but the chain of restaurants has more to offer than just pizza. Little Caesars' latest menu offering is a first, and it marks a collaboration between two iconic brands.
Little Caesars is teaming with Mountain Dew to launch a beverage exclusive that is only available at the restaurant: Mountain Dew Mango Rush. The new drink is rolling out nationally on May 5 and is only available at Little Caesars.
A release from the restaurant calls it a tropical beverage that "blends the refreshing citrus taste of Mountain Dew with a bold kick of mango flavor. The result of a collaboration between the two brands, Mountain Dew Mango Rush was created to give Little Caesars' fans more of the fruit-forward flavor they crave, perfectly pairing with their favorite Little Caesars pizza."
Mountain Dew Mango Rush won't be around forever, though. A release states that the drink will be available in a collectible 16-ounce can with a co-branded design for a limited time and only while supplies last.
"We're excited to team up with Mountain Dew for the first time, especially given the success of Pepsi Pineapple and past flavor exclusives. Little Caesars customers seek out flavors to complement our fan-favorite offerings - which is why Mountain Dew Mango Rush is such a great fit," Greg Hamilton, chief marketing officer of Little Caesars, said in a statement.
Scott Finlow, chief marketing officer of PepsiCo Away From Home, added, "One thing Mountain Dew and Little Caesars fans both share is a thirst for adventurous flavors. With Mountain Dew Mango Rush, our goal was to collaborate with Little Caesars to create a new, refreshing beverage that pizza and Dew enthusiasts will love."
PepsiCo owns Mountain Dew, and this marks the second time PepsiCo and Little Caesars have teamed up for a flavor exclusive. The first was the Pepsi Pineapple drink in 2023.
