Doctor Who fans in the UK can head to Marks & Spencer to pickup one (or both) of these stunning new t-shirts, priced at £19.50 each.
Spotted on a Saturday morning shopping trip by me, the tees are made fro a nice heavy cotton and the designs are printed in such a way that it should take years for them to fade.
If you’ve already bought, or plan on buying one, let us know what you think of them!

Portent of Doom for Sky Atlantic?
Philip Bates is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
Zai Bennett is set to leave his position as Boss Level Baddie on BBC Three for a new job as head of Sky Atlantic.
Bennett put his stamp on TV when he was appointed the chief of the digital channel in 2011 – and one of his first acts, cancelling the hugely successful show, Doctor Who Confidential, caused massive waves. Namely, Points of View forced him in front of a bright lamp and interrogated him about his appointment, and naturally, he had to defend his decision to cancel BBC3′s most popular programme.
There wasn’t really an excuse. Except this, at the Edinburgh International Television Festival:
“Doctor Who Confidential had run for six series… It was a show about a show. There wasn’t much more to say about how they make Doctor Who. We are pulling back from pre-watershed TV because of BBC cuts – I’ve got to make every pound count. I don’t want to make loads of extension shows, a la ITV2.”
I think this is entirely missing the point. Quite aside from the fact that Doctor Who does something new every week, the magnificent crew always found something interesting to show us. Each episode was special.
It was recently announced that BBC Three will go solely online from next year, naturally coupled with budget cuts. This’ll probably mean we won’t get endless Family Guy episodes. Some have speculated that it won’t be around at all for much longer. So what will this mean for Sky Atlantic, the UK’s version of HBO? Hmmm… I’ll leave you Kasterborites to mull that one over.
Many have also said that it’s a bad sign of how the BBC treats youngsters – and I have to disagree with that too. I’m generally considered a youngster, and the worst sign of how the BBC treated youngsters… was BBC Three. I found it patronising and tarred us all with the same brush. Confidential was one of the only intelligent shows on the channel (I did also enjoy The Revolution Will Be Televised). And furthermore, if the Beeb want to attract young’uns, this fangled Internet is a perfect place for BBC3 to lie its weary head.
This might sound harsh on Mr. Bennett. But, as someone who wants to work in the TV industry, Confidential taught me so much. And I feel very bitter that it was taken away from us.
Bennett, who previously worked for ITV, moves from BBC Three to Sky Atlantic this summer.

Here’s a gem from the Pathé News Archive – a home-made Dalek selling books in Coventry back in 1964!
Built by John Aubury of the Lancaster College of Technology, the radio-controlled robot was used to sell rag magazines. Te film has recently been released as part of the archive of British Pathé newsreels that are now available on YouTube.

Cryptic Instagrams From Samuel Anderson Intrigue Doctor Who Fans
Andrew Reynolds is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
Choosing the best filter (I’m partial to a bit of Sutro action myself) and hashtagging up a #storm Samuel Anderson has been sharing his snaps on Instagram – promising a real treat for Whovians eagerly awaiting the debut of the Twelfth Doctor.
Snapping a particularly sing-songy slate (Everybody! ‘251, take 1’) Mr Danny Pink himself commented:
Oh, the tantalising prospect raised by just having words ‘drwho’ and ‘musical’ in close proximity is almost too much to bear – Capaldi was in a band after all. #spurious
Also, there’s the pleasant thought that because Anderson included a space between ‘#Peter’ and ‘Capaldi’ some bloke called Peter who fancied taking a cheeky selfie of himself in a fetching new hat and hashtagged his own name for God only knows what reason has now been tagged into a burgeoning Doctor Who thread.
You’re welcome #Peter (Sadly #Peter is mostly Family Guy Memes; #disappointing)
Alongside the image of the slate, Anderson also posted a shot of chairs! Chairs! Chairs with names on them! Doctor Who names!
So which Doctor Who star, past and present would you want snapping secretive shots from behind the scenes? What are you most looking forward to from the Twelfth Doctor? Also don’t forget to follow Kasterborous’ own Instagram page! #contractuallyobliged

Say Who-Ray! for Stockton-On-Tees This Weekend!
Alex Skerratt is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
If your Saturdays are dragging with NuWho currently off our screens, you might want to turn that Helmic Regulator and head down to Stockton-On-Tees.
It’s The Greatest Show in the Galaxy / Who-Ray! Event this Saturday (26 April) and it promises displays of sci-fi related props and costumes, along with activities for children, face-painting and collectors’ stalls. As if that wasn’t enough to tickle your inner fan-boy / fan-girl / fan-multiform, the event is also free to enter, so there really is no excuse not to go, (unless you’re in, say, Australia, in which case your TARDIS might be short on Zyton…)
The event is being held in Wellington Square, Stockton-On-Tees, and is open from 10am until 3pm. The emphasis will be on Star Wars and Doctor Who, but there may be table space for other shows as well, so it’s probably worth a look whatever your SF preference!
You can find out more on their Facebook page, or check out their website.
Have fun!

Explore the Surreal with New Doctor Who Star Peter Capaldi
Christian Cawley is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
From time traveller to art enthusiast. New Doctor Who actor Peter Capaldi appears in new online film exploring Surrealism in art.
Peter Capaldi, famed for The Thick of It, In the Loop and, most recently, as the Twelfth Doctor in the BBC Television series Doctor Who stars in a new online film exploring Surrealism in art.
In Unlock Art: Exploring the Surreal, Capaldi investigates how psychoanalysis and the unconscious mind shaped the Surrealist movement. The film examines the key players including Miro, Ernst and Dali and explores how the movement’s playful yet sometimes disturbing nature impacted contemporary culture and society; from art and theatre through to pop, humour and even politics.
This is the seventh Unlock Art film in the series of eight produced in collaboration between Tate and Le Méridien Hotels & Resorts which aims to unlock the big stories and ideas behind art. Other presenters in the series include indie rock band The Kills, author and broadcaster Dawn O’Porter, HBO Girls star Jemima Kirke and actor Alan Cumming.
Unlock Art aims to take viewers on a journey through various art movements and themes, from the history of the nude and humour in art, to Surrealism and Pop – offering the need-to-know facts, and making the arts more accessible to a wider audience.
Unlock Art is part of Le Méridien Hotel and Resorts’ ongoing commitment to provide a new perspective on the hotel experience through a curated approach to arts and culture.

Cambridge Union Welcomes Doctor Who Stars, Ambassadors & The Hoff!
James Lomond is a writer at Kasterborous Doctor Who News and Reviews - All the latest Doctor Who news and reviews with our weekly podKast, features and interviews, and a long-running forum.
It’s rare that such a weird and wonderful collection of intergalactic notables assemble under one roof, but the Cambridge Union has bettered the most masterful of Daleks’ plans. The Easter term (wisely named after the Chocolaty holiday that kicks if off – why not?) has a list of guest speakers including the Nobel Peace Prize winning 10th President of Finland and not one but two incarnations of our beloved Timelord…
Alongside their regular debating program and events like ‘Strictly Cam Dancing’ (!) the list kicks off with Seventh Doctor, Sylvester McCoy billed as both the last Classic Doctor and the actor behind Radagast the Brown in the Hobbit (as heavily referenced in the glorious Five(ish) Doctors Redux).
A weighty series of speakers follows including the Ambassador to the UK for Russia followed by the Ambassador for the Ukraine the very next day. Bold and topical scheduling! What could then be more natural than an appearance by the finely tanned, perm-tastic pop sensation, David Hasselhoff?…
The term is rounded off by Eighth Doctor, Paul McGann who not only rules the hearts of all Whovians as the most Byronically dashing incarnation of the good Doctor, but the hearts of every counter-cultural student intellectual as the “I” of cult classic Withnail & I. If you haven’t seen it, see it. The quintessential student-flick, wickedly funny and co-starring the original (animated) Ninth Doctor and puppet of the Great Intelligence, Richard E Grant.
Who has had a flirtation with Cambridge before in the sadly unfinished Shada from 1979, where another renegade Gallifreyan managed to hide out as a professor for three centuries with no one noticing. The Union’s program brings to mind what I imagine Russell-T-Davies’ (schooled at the “Other place”) proposals for Who episodes sounded like… “I want werewolves and flying monks in Scotland, and then how about talking Rhinos. In a hospital. On the moon…” Splendid. If any Kasterborites manage to see either Doctor’s appearance remember to tell us all about it…
