Lunar eclipse by the pool side

If I had it my way, I'd probably kick my son's ass outdoor every evening instead of keeping him too much indoors. You see, when I was a little girl, I spent most of my time outdoor, and I get pretty wistful at times because my boy did not get the simple pleasures I used to have when I was a little girl. Sometimes, I wish I could take a stroll by the beach with my boy or a take a little hike on a hill.

The closest thing that we can get to stroll along the beach is a walk around the swimming pool and the closest thing we can get to a hike on a small hill is climbing the damn stairs whenever the elevators to our apartment is out of service. TSK! It's such a shame, isn't it?

But…I guess, it's okay. Time changes and it's not my fault that we had to live in the city to earn a living. And I do make up for my son by bringing him to chill out with me whenever I can or whenever the weather permits it.

I heard of the lunar eclipse a couple of days ago, and I got really excited for it. I was anticipating the lunar eclipse and I decided to persuade my family to see it with me.

My husband agreed to accompany us to watch the whole process of it. Since my husband is beat up from work, we did not go far to watch the lunar eclipse. Instead of driving to the planetarium to watch it, we decided to just watch it from the playground compound of our home.

I was so excited about it that I packed up some food so that we can have it while witnessing the entire process. You see, the whole process takes about 2 hours, so I wouldn't want any of us to go hungry. My husband, on the other hand bought the netbook with him because he wanted to compare the lunar eclipse with the live streaming from Angkasa, but unfortunately for him, the broadband fails him. LOL.

I know this is nothing much in comparison to spending time feasting in an expensive fine dining restaurant, but I think nothing beats playing the swing while waiting for the moon to rise. It's not something that you get to do every day and it's something you cannot buy. :D

Anyway, when the moon finally rises from the sky and took a peek from beneath the dark clouds, we discovered that we cannot possibly watch the eclipse from the playground cuz the sight of moon was blocked by buildings.

And so, we moved to the swimming pool instead, and this is where I decided to really let my hair down and get really comfortable. I rushed home to pick up the towel and changed into my bathing suit and puts on a T-shirt over it before going back to lie down by the pool side to watch the lunar eclipse with my family. (Note to self: next time bring the picnic blanket to lie down on. It's much more comfortable)

It was really relaxing. I even managed to get a good nap by the poolside while having my feet dipped into the water as I watched the moon slowly being devoured by the shadow of the Earth.

My husband was amazed by the fact that I could easily fall asleep while lying down by the poolside and that I barely noticed him lying down beside me after awhile. My son was probably surprised too, seeing his insomniac mum nodding off, but I was not, because I always feel comfortable around water sources. Water and the sound of the gentle waves never fails to lull me to sleep. I may have a few bad experience where I nearly drowned before, but I never developed any phobia towards it like I've developed a phobia towards fire. Strange, isn't it?

Overall, it was a wonderful experience. The eclipse was beautiful and we stayed there at the pool til the end of it at about 12 am.

I loved the fact that I get to see my son excitedly points out that the moon was being eaten and my husband's flustered expression when he failed to compare the lunar eclipse with those being streamed online due to technical glitches. It's not something I get to see everyday.LOL.

Cleffairy: Life is not about waiting for the storm to pass, but about learning to dance in the rain. :D

He sees you when you're sleeping

Christmas have been pretty commercialized. It's all about the presents and the goodies and no longer remembered as a part of religious or spiritual celebration. While I was bemoaning that fact, I stumbled across this article written by By Dr. Charles W. Page. It was indeed something to ponder, so here's sharing you what he wrote:
Do you recall trying to sleep on Christmas Eve while waiting for Santa to come to town? The anticipation of Saint Nicolas and all his goodies was just too much—who could sleep? The lyrics of Santa Claus is Coming to Town taunted me. "He sees you when you're sleeping—he knows when you're awake…" I tossed and turned trying to fall asleep, fearful I'd miss out on Santa's visit if he caught me awake. I never doubted Santa's ability to be aware of my wakefulness.Unfortunately, as adults, the issues that keep us awake during the Christmas season are more complicated than those we experienced as kids. Financial burdens, strained relationships, difficult decisions, brooding regrets and fretful thoughts race through our minds and hinder our rest. There is someone who "sees you when you're sleeping and knows when you're awake." It's not Santa Claus. The Bible reminds us, God's eyes never close. Perhaps this truth can tuck us in for the night.

"He will not allow your foot to be moved; He who keeps you will not slumber.

Behold, He who keeps Israel shall neither slumber nor sleep." (Psalm 121:3-4)
We erroneously think that as we "turn in" that God somehow "turns off" or moves on to do more important things. But God doesn't wait for us to wake up before He returns to work. God is just as active during our sleep—or sleeplessness. Believers can rest assured knowing God is awake guarding our lives. What does God do as we slumber? Psalm 127:1-2 reminds us that God gives to those that He loves as they sleep. What does God give?
Understanding God's generous nature, one rendering would be that God gives to the believer whatever is needed at the time. God can give you wisdom and direction with decisions as you "sleep on it" overnight (Psalm 16:7, James 1:5). Maybe there is a financial need. The scriptures are filled with examples of how God provided for the physical needs of those He loved as they rested (I Kings 19:1-8; Exodus 16:1-8).

God's gifts are good, perfect (James 1:17), eternal (Ephesians 1:3) and purposeful (Galatians 5:22-25). They do not require batteries, warranties and cannot be purchased in stores. But they are available 24/7/365—not limited to one night each year. God's greatest gift did not arrive under a tree but on a tree (John 3:16). "He who did not spare His own Son, but delivered Him up for us all, how shall He not with Him freely give us all things?" (Romans 8:32)

It's plain to see, God has our back as we sleep. Try this Christmas recipe for rest.

Repent—in areas where we are aware of our transgressions. "A clean conscience

makes a soft pillow."
Release—control of problems you're facing and give them over to God.
Relate—connect with God through prayer and meditation while in bed.
Rest—allow God to do what you cannot do for yourself as you sleep.
Receive—God's unmerited forgiveness, grace and blessings while you sleep.

An English proverb reminds us, "As you make your bed so you must lie in it." The truth of God's Word helps us face our situations. Although we cannot change the failures of our past, we can rest with a clean conscience based on God's gift of forgiveness.
Our current circumstances may appear overwhelming, but God gives His presence and His guidance in our hour of need. Our future is secure and hopeful when God's greatest gift—His Son—is kept in view. A life supported by a vibrant, healthy relationship with the Shepherd of Sleep makes the most comfortable mattress. In childlike faith learn to trust Him as you lie down to sleep and remember: "He sees you when you're sleeping."
Cleffairy: I, for one, could use some rest. How about you?

The sky is red

I am nocturnal. I sleep during the day and stays awake at night because it suits me best. A lot of people may say that it's not good for the body, but hey, I sleep 8 hours a day and I probably get more rest than those who stays awake during regular hours. And that's all that matters to me.

Being nocturnal enables me to enjoy quite alot of things. One of it is solitude, something that's extremely hard to get during the day in the city. There's also not much noise except for the  occasional street creature's howl.

Apart from that solitude, I can also see what others may not see. One of it is the red sky. Yes, folks… the sky is red. At least, in Kuala Lumpur it is red at night.

If you think that the sky is pitch black adorned with sparkling stars and the smiling moon, then you're wrong. Very wrong. The sky is hardly dark in Kuala Lumpur unless it's after rain. The moon is occasionally visible, but it's hard to spot clusters of stars in the sky of Kuala Lumpur.

Some may think that the red sky is beautiful and romantic, but the truth is, it's not beautiful or romantic in any ways. It is deadly, because the air space in Kuala Lumpur is infested with pollution particles.

Did you know that the colour of the sky is determined by which colours of light from the sun get scattered around the atmosphere?

Blue light is normally scattered by the gases like oxygen and nitrogen which make up most of the atmosphere while red, yellow, and other mixtures of light like pink passes right through.

However, gases such as nitrogen and oxygen that does not scatter red and pink light. It is other particles such as water, pollution, and dust that scatters red and pink light that's making the sky look red or pink.

So, in other words, when the sun light has to pass though lots of pollution, dust, or water particles ,red and pink light can get scattered along with the blue making the sky look red or pink.

The red sky phenomena happens when it is very polluted, or when there is lots of water or dust in the air. The night sky in Kuala Lumpur is always red, if you must know. Trust me. I see the night sky every night as others are sleeping their night away.

It is a sad thing that many do not realize how polluted the Earth is and continues to contribute in abusing Mother Nature ruthlessly in many ways and yet dares to complain about climate changes that has been caused by their own doings.

It's a sad thing that I can't urge any of you to help lessen the pollution as it's in your blood to use air-conditioner while you sleep or whenever the temperature is too hot for you.

It's a pathetic thing that I cannot persuade anyone to reuse, reduce and recycle things to reduce pollution or use bio-degradable material.

It's a pitiful thing that my great grandchildren might need to go to a botanical garden just to see strong, beautiful trees that's a common sight generations before.

Yes… it is indeed a sad thing, that I shall never see the sky truly dark and starry at night again.

Cleffairy: Sometimes, I don't feel as if I'm on planet Earth anymore. Earth is supposed to be blue, with caressing wind and lush greens, not as red as Krypton.

Goreng Pisang/Fried Bananas

Kids these days are terribly deprived of the simple joy of devouring not so healthy snacks. You almost never catch modern parents buying fried stuff sold on the street for their kids after school.

I could still remember my childhood days. Back then, my mum would buy my sister and I some goreng pisang (fried bananas) sold on the street for us to enjoy during tea time. I don't see much parents doing that these days. Most have become health conscious freak and deep fried stuff is a no-no. You'd probably see these parents baking bananas in their sophisticated oven for their kids to eat. Either that, or these overly health conscious parents would have the kids munch on carrot sticks. Tsk. Poor kids.

I may control my boy's sugar intake cuz he's an ADHD child and sugar makes him go hyper, but I don't really deprive him from taking oily food. Snacks like goreng pisang or fried stuff sold by the street is not a banned item in my household. They are in fact, a normal recurrence in the kitchen's menu.

Anyway, I bought some bananas the other day because it's rather cheap. I got a bunch of it for just Rm2.50. It was already ripened when I bought it and I thought that it would taste much better and less mushy if I fry it up. And so…instead of eating it just like that…I decided to fry it.

This is what I do:

image

I poured about two cups of flour into a bowl and mix it with some water and a pinch of salt to make the goreng pisang batter. And when the batter is ready, I added some sliced bananas into it and coat the bananas with the batter evenly before deep frying it in hot oil for about 5 minutes.

imageAnd the picture above is the end result. LOL. It may not look very good cuz the bananas were already ripened and the caramel was oozing out of the bananas when it's fried, but I can assure you that these went *POOF* within minutes. :D

There you go, folks. Fried bananas. Very simple to make and the recipe is idiot proof.

Cleffairy: If I can fry it, you can too. So… loosen up abit and let your kids enjoy some deep fried stuff once in a while.

Excessive sugar is a no,no

Not long ago, I was invited to dinner in Bora Asmara. It was a nice place. Very secluded and romantic. My husband even commented that the place is suitable for honeymooners to dine in where privacy is guaranteed.

I fell in love with the place the instant I saw it and jokingly told him that I wish to dine there on Valentine's Day. Bora Asmara, as the name suggest, have a very romantic and exotic environment and there was even a serenading band that will come to your table and serenade a song or two to you. (sorry, there's no more pictures, the lighting was too dark for my camera, all pictures came out blurry except for this one)

I wish I was there for romance, but I was not there for a romantic candlelight dinner, I was there for an informal dinner instead. A bunch of parent bloggers were invited for a parenting talk on added sugars in children's growing up milk instead.

As a mother of an ADHD child whose sugar intake must be controlled due to medical reasons, I was absolutely ecstatic when I received an invitation to listen to a talk on that particular topic.

If you've been following my blog, you might notice that I've been really concerned over the added sugars in growing up milk issue. There have been so much information over the net that I wasn't so sure which one to believe anymore. Despite of my effort to assure myself that I'm making the right decision on my boy's growing up milk, I still have doubts.

This is the case of information overload, I believe… too much information, I suppose, and I'm glad that I could slay the dragons of doubts once and for all during the laid back dinner in Bora Asmara with Dr. Monroe and Prof. Davis. (You see, during the dinner, you get to ask them questions to clear your doubts too)

I was told that Dr. Monroe and Prof. Davis is a member of Key Opinion Leaders (KOL) who happens to be here in Malaysia for Paediatric Medical Conference. They were invited to give a talk to us parent bloggers in Bora Asmara so that parents could understand more about the issue.

The session was… enlightening, I must say. During the session, it was stressed that:

Carbohydrates in growing up milk powder is only made up of two things: – Sugar that is naturally present in the milk powder and added sugars. The only naturally present sugar in milk is lactose.
Added sugars are mostly factory products of chemical and enzymatic starch digestion. Some of these are known commonly as  corn syrup solids, glucose syrup solids, sucrose, etc.
We were also told how carbohydrates were processed when it's consumed- It first go down to the stomach, then the pancreas release the acid amylase for complete digestion. Sugars are then absorbed from small intestine. In other words, when consumed, all carbohydrates are converted into sugars in the body.

So, from what I gather, if we're not careful, then we might be feeding our children excessive amount of sugars in their daily diet. You see, while most growing up milk better than fresh milk as it is specially formulated with DHA, iron, vitamins, etc, for their brain and physical development during their growing up years, most of the milk formula also contains too much added sugars. That's what we do not need, cuz excessive sugars leads to various health issues like sugar rush in hyperactive children, obesity, diabetes, tooth decay, etc.

So, as parents, we got to make an informed decision when we buy growing up milk for our children.

How do we actually make an informed decision on how choose a growing up milk that does not contain excessive added sugars that will do more harm than good to our children's body? How do we actually choose the right growing up milk without added sugars?

Why, by decoding the growing up milk label, of course. Don't know how?

Here's how you decode the label when you choose your  children's growing up milk powder:

Find the number for 'carbohydrates per serve' on the packaging label. Anything that is higher than 11g-12g is added sugars.
Watch out for the ingredients like: Sucrose, corn syrup solids as well as glucose syrup solids.

Balanced energy for children is a must during their growing up years, and one of the sources is carbohydrates in their diet. That is a fact that all parents should know. But carbohydrates must come from natural food sources that's high in complex carbohydrates like grains, fruits, veggies, milk, not from added sugars.

Excessive sugars intake may provide calories but not the nutrient that the children needs. That sort of calories are often referred to as 'empty calories', and more often than not leads to various health issue. So if you're wise, you'll make an informed decision when you choose your children's growing up milk.

Cleffairy: Say no to added sugars.

Over and over again!

I feel blessed that I have wonderful friends like Smallkucing who is not only thoughtful, but very tolerant of my faults as well. Not long ago, Smallkucing and his family went for a short foodie trip to Malacca, and as usual, they bought me something and told me that they will drop the goodies to me when they're back in Kuala Lumpur.

My family and I wasn't really feeling well during that time, and so, the night before we meet up with Smallkucing and his family, I forced my entire family to drink poison… ahem… I mean, take medication in hopes that we'll be be in tip top condition when we meet Smallkucing's family the next day. You see, I did not want any of us sneezing and spreading germs to Smallkucing's family when we meet up.

We did feel better the next day, but my entire family slept like a log and nearly couldn't wake up from our sleep when Smallkucing and his family arrived the  despite the fact that I've set an alarm for the appointment.

*BLUSH* I was completely horrified to see that there's 10 missed calls and loads of sms-ses from Mamakucing! She did not only sms and called me, but called my husband's handphone as well but none of us could wake up to the ringtones.Gosh! That never happened to me before. My family slept like the dead after taking the flu medicine.

I would like to sincerely apologize to Smallkucing and his family for the unfortunate incident. I really didn't mean to KO that way on the day that I'm supposed to meet them. >.< I seriously did not know that the medicine that we bought from pharmacy was so strong that it could knock out out terribly.

I've learned my lesson now. No more poison…I mean, medicines that will knock us out whenever we have a lunch or dinner date. :( It was a really horrifying experience for me. I never knew that one could really sleep like the dead to the point they cannot hear anything at all.

Ironically, it was the neighbour's renovation noises that woke us up from our slumber, alerting us of those missed calls and those smses that Mamakucing sent to me and my husband. Boy, I never thought I'd say this, but I'm glad that my neighbour decided to bang down his house again.

Anyway, after the 'sleep like the dead bodies' fiasco, my family and I did managed to meet up with Smallkucing and his family for lunch. (Thank God for that, or I'll never forgive myself for breaking a promise)

We meet up at Wadi al-Nile for lunch again. I know I've featured Wadi al-Nile restaurant here for God knows how many times already, but we can't help it. The temptation is too huge to ignore. the food is not only divine, but the price is reasonable too. They also served things in huge portion, and we never have to complain about their service cuz they give 5 stars service to their customers. The owner of the restaurant is also very friendly and would often greet us whenever we dine there.

I always feel happy and satisfied whenever I dined in Wadi al-Nile. They have plenty of exotic things to offer. And so, during that lunch date, we ordered various type of things to be shared with each other.

As usual, Arabic mint tea is a must. It's Mamakucing's favourite. She never failed to order this whenever we patronize Wadi al-Nile. I'm a tea lover, but whenever I patronize this restaurant, I prefer to order Barbican or Fayrouz instead. I simply love their flavoured malt drink.

Smallkucing's papa had Kabsah rice with lamb. Don't be fooled by the picture. There's plenty of lamb meat buried underneath the rice and everyone was amazed on how perfect and tender the lamb was. There's also no unpleasant smell whatsoever.

Uncle Patrick opt for Hanith chicken with Mandy rice, and he was praising to the sky as he enjoyed his rice. He said the chicken was perfectly steamed in herbs and was very flavourful.

Florence on the other hand chose to try Hanith lamb with Mandy rice. Like Uncle Patrick, it was her first time trying out food in this restaurant. Florence was absolutely happy by the fact that her lamb was perfectly steamed with herbs and spices and has no funny smell whatsoever. She told me that she couldn't get enough of the juicy lamb. LOL. I stole a piece of lamb to taste from her as well. It was indeed divine, but I know my limit. Lamb makes me feel hot all over, and I did not dare to take too much of it.

Mamakucing on the other hand, was always crazy for the tender and flavourful Kabsah chicken, and so, she ordered Kabsah chicken with Mandy rice to share and enjoy with Smallkucing.

Knowing that the food portion here is way too big for me to finish on my own, I ordered Mandy chicken rice to be shared with my husband. The portion was always enough to keep both of our tummies full, and it was divine, as usual,  God, I wonder what the chef put inside of all of his cooking? I can't help but go back and have them over and over again and can't seems to get bored of any of it. >.< You see, a few days before I meet up with Smallkucing and his family for lunch, I already went to the restaurant of my own to satisfy my cravings. And a few days later, I went back to eat the same thing again. Gosh… it's so additive, and I can't seems to stop going back to eat their rice. Okay, I'm positively addicted to Wadi al-Nile's food. Compliments to the chef, from the bottom of my heart.

My boy wasn't up to anything but French fries that day. I suppose his appetite was still missing in action due to the fact that he just recovered from flu and fever.

All rice dishes came with yummylicious potato stew. It's not only creamy and sourish, but it's also very appetizing.

And not forgetting the tantalizing chilli dips. Somehow, I think Florence is in love with the chilli dips. She can't help but praise the chilli dips as she dig into her rice. :P

Smallkucing's papa also ordered some Arabic bread to share.

And it goes very well with the exotic Hummus.

Everyone was happy at the end of the meal, and I can testify that everyone had their plates squeaky clean. To see what Smallkucing thought of the food, click here. He also blogged about it.

I've been to Wadi-al Nile countless times, but I have yet to get my hands on their desserts. It's not that they lacked desserts on their menu, but each time I patronized this restaurant, I'd be too full to try anything else. >.<

One of these days, I'm gonna make it my personal mission to just go and order their desserts to enjoy. (But I know it's impossible, cuz I'm addicted to their rice.)

The food is THAT good and if you haven't try Wadi al-Nile yet, be sure to give them a shot. But be forewarned, you might end up like me… addicted to the Arabic dishes. :P

Here's the address for the restaurant, in case you're tempted to try the food:

Wadi AL-Nile Restaurant, No 72-0, Block J, Platinum Walk, No. 2, Jalan Langkawi, 53300 Setapak, Kuala Lumpur. Tel : 03-41312356.

Cleffairy:  This is not a paid food review or an invited food review, but I highly recommend this restaurant to those who loves exotic Arabic food.

Ps: Thank you Smallkucing and family for the lunch treat.

Don't talk to strangers!

When I was a little girl, I was taught to be wary of strangers and I was trained to alert my parents whenever some strangers make attempts to approach me. You see, I was a chirpy little girl, and my parents were very protective of me. They do not want anything untoward happens to me.

I wonder how many parents these days taught their children not to talk to strangers? I come to notice that most children these days are not afraid of strangers. They are in fact very friendly towards people that they are not introduced to. They could make acquaintance easily with adults who are strangers to them and is oblivious to the fact that talking to strangers can sometimes be a very bad thing.

I know most parents taught their young children not to talk or be friendly to strangers, but the advices seems to fall on deaf ears. Many blame the parents whenever they see such things happen, but I don't think parents can be blamed fully as it is children's nature to be trusting. Children who comes from a loving family are especially trusting and friendly. They feel so secure that they have no fear towards people around them.

So, what can we do to fix this and make them wary towards strangers? Well, I don't know. I don't exactly have a method to educate children not to talk to strangers or follow strangers around.

I'm no pro in parenting, but perhaps they can be educated by showing them movies or educational videos about children being kidnapped and sold off to slavery. Perhaps it's much more effective than just advising them?

I know it's abit harsh and might be traumatic for children, but if it works, why not? I always believe that children are visual creature. And they responded to things that they see more than to things that they hear. I don't mind scaring children abit if it's for their own good and if it keeps them safe.

Anyway, for what it's worth, I'm glad that my boy is quite an anti-social and not friendly towards strangers or people he does not know well. Last night, we met up with my sister in law to give her something. And before she leave, she lured my my son to her car with a handful of candies.

She may not realize that her behaviour can be likened to those typical kidnappers who sweet talk and lure children with candies to their car, but I'm glad that my son reacted in a way that I wanted him to react; by pulling away from her and running back to me and my husband. :D I'm really, really glad that my nagging and advices did not fall onto deaf ears after all.

Cleffairy: My poor sister in law was probably aghast with my son's reaction as she's his aunt, but this mummy approves his reaction, even if she's his aunt. LOL!

Can it get any worst?

Holiday season is back, and I'm sure most of you out there have your own plans on where you're bringing your family to chill out to. I'm not going anywhere this year (*roll eyes* Duzzin make any difference. I never go on a yearly vacation anyway) as there's so many things going on in my life right at the moment and I simply do not have the budget for traveling expenses. Where finance is concerned, I'm currently being thrown a little off balance.

My husband and I are both having problems getting our clients to pay us for the projects that we did respectively, and there's not much things for us to do except send these inconsiderate clients timely reminders that they have debts with us. I don't know what's wrong with people these days. Don't they have any conscience? Perhaps that's the case, that is why they don't pay up after getting certain service or goods.

I'm really worried about my family's finance right at the moment as we're feeding on our savings, but worrying does not bring any positive effect to us. *sigh* It's hard to remain positive, and I feel like crying and screaming in frustration at the same time.

Can things gets any worst? I have no idea. I can only tell myself that we already did all we can and God will provide. I know that things happened for a reason. Even financial problems. I have to have faith in Him. If I loose faith in Him, I will loose all.

Having experience all these, I recalled a quote by a famous inventor who created the phone; Alexander Graham Bell. He said, 'When one door closes, another one opens, but we often look so long and so regretfully upon the closed door that we do not see the one which has opened for us'.

How true. Perhaps instead of just worrying and waiting for people to pay up, I should try looking for other opportunities and make money out of them.

Cleffairy: Problem is… where is the 'opened door'? Please guide us and let us see, God.  T_T

If you hop over to vacation rentals paris, you'd realize that they are offering furnished apartments for travelers to rent during their stay in Paris. It's a good deal, if you ask me. Pretty light on the pocket in comparison of renting hotel rooms during your stays. Furnished apartments are not only cheaper, but will also give you the opportunity to mingle with friendly French neighbours. I daresay that it'll be a vacation that you'll never forget.

Twilight Saga Breaking Dawn part 1

Okay, I've been waiting for Breaking Dawn Part 1 to come out and now that it has, I couldn't help myself but watch it.

The movie starts off with the wedding of Edward and Bella and I thought it was rather emotionless and the wedding speech made by their family and friends were rather boring and corny. I thought the first 15 minutes was almost intolerable. Quite a disappointment, and not really up to par with the book. Sure, there's a few memorable romantic lines here and there, but I seriously thought that the actor and actresses ought to put more emotion in their acting.

Everyone, especially Bella was appropriately vampire-rized in my opinion. All of them looks like they could used some good night sleep and a few jug of isotonic drinks. Actor and actresses appearance wasn't quite up to my standard, cuz they all look either not enough sleep or tired, and the characters in Breaking Dawn are not supposed to look like that. They are supposed to look energetic and powerful.

The saving grace of this movie is of course the honeymoon scene in Isle of Esme and the brief romance between Edward and Bella before trouble starts to knock on their door; accidental, unplanned pregnancy. Bella got pregnant and the pregnancy was something that seems to come out of a horror movie, considering that the child she was carrying was not a human. The unborn child was considered as a threat to both vampires and werewolves and it gets messy from there.

Overall, Breaking Dawn is an okay movie to watch if you like drama and some action. Personally, I think it's not great… but an okay watch. And I would prefer it even more if there's better soundtrack for it.

Cleffairy: I suppose I'll always be the type of person who prefers novels over it's movie adaptations.
