Hi Karen,

A longish answer to your question is in my blog post below:

A short answer is that I wanted to write about what we can be as a species. We seem to continue hurt each other; in our actions as individuals, in the groups we form (religious, skin color etc), the way nations interact with each other, and the way we treat our planet and the other life on it. We are better than this, or at least I think we can be. So I wrote the Janus Unfolding series populating it with an emergent version of us who do not act out of fear, but rather have a deep reverence for life in all its forms, and are driven to make things better.(less)

Consciousness Influences Energy and Gives Shape to Our Universe.

“Consciousness! Ah ha! He’s talking about us, Sadie.” Yes, but there is more to consciousness, Horatio, than is dreamt of in your philosophy. Just ask Helena.

Everything in the Universe, throughout all its kingdoms, is conscious: i.e., endowed with a consciousness of its own kind and on its own plane of perception.

Excellent series

The author did a great job with his 2 types of powers given to the characters. The use of these abilities (reading another's mind and the other guiding another's actions) were well described. Characters had different levels of ability

Exciting. Well thought-out.

The author had to imagine what it was like to have the abilities that Darren and other readers had. Then he had to work out what it would be like if these abilities were put into action. He did all of this very well and mad
