Aaron's Awakening Cover

Hi all, I just got my new cover from the very talented Emmy Ellis for Aaron's Awakening, book four in my Shifters' Haven series so I thought I'd show it off :) Aaron and Cary have become my favourite two characters in the series so far and the cover is a great representation of them both. Hope you like it as much as I do.

Should I listen to my muse?

I've been having a difficult time writing lately. It's not writer's block, quite the opposite in fact, there are so many stories in my head that I can't seem to concentrate on just one. I wonder how many other people out there have this same problem?

You'd think it would be a great thing for a writer to have so many ideas rolling around in your head but usually it's more of a hindrance than something positive. Take right now for example. I'm more than half way to completion on books five and s...

Shifters' Haven series in print!

I had some great news yesterday I thought I'd share with you all. My shifters' Haven series will soon be released in print. I think I'm more excited about that than I was when Luke's Surprise, the first book in the series was released on e-book. It's funny how those few bits of paper glued together can have so much power over me, making me feel more like a real author than I did before, especially considering paperback sales are in decline and e-books are undoubtedly the way forward, but ther...

Inspiration

Book four in my Shifters' Haven series - Aaron's Awakening is due for release in the next few months so I thought I'd give you an insight into how I see Aaron and his mate Cary. When I first started writing the series I didn't use any pictures as inspiration, the characters of Luke and Mark lived only in my head. I started to read other author's blogs and many of them admitted to using pictures to help them imagine their characters.  For Aaron's story I trailed the net to find men who resembl...

Is it that time already?

Wow it's that time of the month again folks - yep, release day! Cody's Revelation book two in my Shifters' Haven series is available to purchase and download from Total-E-Bound today. I can't believe it's already been over a month since Luke's Surprise came out. The time has literally flown by.

I'm having so much fun writing the series and I hope everyone is enjoying reading it. I'm currently in the middle of writing books five and six. Book five is the story of Nate, the elder brother of Rick...

The upside to bad reviews.

Luke's Surprise, Cody's Revelation and Kelan's Pursuit, the first three books in my Shifters' Haven series I wrote simultaneously. Luke's story was the first completed and submitted to a publisher, with books two and three completed soon afterwards.

Although I love the books dearly, perhaps because they were the first, I'm amazed how much I've learnt and hopefully grown as a writer in the months since they were submitted. This is certainly the case with regards to the technical aspects of wri...

Times they are a changing.

Can I just say I love being a writer in this digital age. E-book sales are growing exponentially and I'm sure there will soon come a time when they by far outsell their paper rivals. I know for example that HarperCollins have launched an all digital line - Avon Impulse.

It is also a very good time to write M/M romance. The genre is a long way from being commercial but it's getting there. Harlequin's Carina press even offers an M/M line and we can only hope the other big publishing houses...

Rave Review

I had a great review recently from Literary Nymphs I thought I'd share with you all. Luke's Surprise, the first book in my Shifters' Haven series was given 4.5 Nymphs by the reviewer. I have to admit it's an amazing feeling when you hear that someone has read and enjoyed your work. So far I've had lots of positive comments about the book. I can't believe it's been a month already since it was released. The time has literally flown by. In less than a week, book two in the series - Cody's Revel...
