My Fair Vampire

Hi All! Today I have the great pleasure of welcoming author Julie Lynn Hayes to my blog. Julie will be talking about her collaboration with author SL Danielson on the novel My Fair Vampire and sharing a wonderful excerpt that will guarantee to leave you wanting more.
Writing an historical novel is different than writing a lot of other types of books because it involves things that actually happened, not just in the author's head. Verifiable events and times which can be remembered or read...

Teaser Tuesday

Yes before you say anything I know it's Wednesday lol, but I missed yesterday's post and my guest today couldn't make it so you've got me instead with an excerpt from Nate's Deputy which will be released sometime in the spring.

Nate's Deputy will be book five in the Shifters' Haven series. It's definitely my favourite so far. The excerpt is unedited, so please excuse any mistakes. Here's the blurb for the book.

Werewolf Nate Stanford is riddled with guilt over his brother Rick's death…so much ...

Book of the week Sunday

My book of the week this Sunday is Shades of Gray by Brooke McKinley.

Shades of Gray has been around for a while having been published by Dreamspinner in 2009, so many of you may have already read it, but if you haven't, it's definitely one you don't want to miss out on.

Shades of Gray is one of those books you literally can't put down. It's enthralling, intriguing, and compelling right to the very last page. To begin with the writing was quite simply wonderful. The language was eloquent and...

Sexy Saturday

Hi folks! Yep it's that time of the week again. But before I get on to the pics that have inspired me this week, I'll start with some writing news. I've finally completed book five in the Shifters' Haven series and it has been submitted to my editor for evaluation, so fingers crossed! The title is currently set at Nate's Dilemma although that is subject to change. I'll let you know as soon as I hear about it.

So onwards and upwards. I'm currently hard at work on book six in the series...

Curling Up

Hi all! I have the great pleasure of welcoming author Lee Brazil to my blog today. Lee is sharing a yummy recipe for apple sauce, which sounds simple enough but I'm sure I'd be able to screw it up :P Welcome Lee!
Curling Up
*sips coffee*  *stretches*Morning y'all.  *hugs Lavinia*  Welcome, I'm Lee Brazil.  Sorry, I'm a little foggy still, I'm on my first pot of coffee.  That smell? It's nothing really.  Got some homemade applesauce going in the crock pot.  You've never made homemade...

Book of the week Sunday

Hi all! My book of the week this Sunday is Song of Oestend by Marie Sexton.

Wow I really don't know how to begin describing this book. It was wonderful. So completely different to anything I've read before. I loved it!

Firstly, I love the world it's set in. It's like a mix of historical America with the fantasy elements giving it an other-worldly feel. Most of the story takes place at the BarChi, a cattle ranch in Oestend, and in Oestend you can not go out after dark or the invisible creatures...

Sexy Saturday

Wow, I've been really busy this week. The good news is I've just finished writing the last chapter of Shifters' Haven book 5, just the epilogue to go and it will be on it's merry way into cyber space. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Nate's story is my favourite in the series so far, and I can't wait to share it with everyone.

I haven't had much time this week to work on other wips as I've been so focussed on completing the shifter novel but I did find the time to find...
