Egypt’s Prehistoric Fauna Nature Foldout on Facebook
A lovely note from paleontologist Matthew Lamanna today on Facebook:
A totally shameless plug: over the past year or so, I’ve had the privilege to consult for a very talented artist and author, Dominique Navarro, on a booklet, Egypt’s Prehistoric Fauna, that is part of her AUC Press Nature Foldouts series. The booklet, although necessarily brief, is crammed full of excellent illustrations and (if I do say so myself) lots of information about Egyptian dinosaurs, crocs, and fossil mammals. If you’re interested in these sorts of things, please consider picking up the Prehistoric Fauna booklet (it’s available at Amazon, for instance) and liking the Foldouts Facebook page. Thanks!
Matt, thanks so much for your enthusiasm and support on this project!

New Review on Goodreads
Elizabeth rated it 5 of 5 stars on Goodreads
The imagery on this foldout is beautiful and successfully caught my right away. It was also very informative, and I enjoyed reading about Egypt’s creatures.
Thanks so much Elizabeth!

Aboudy Bookstore (Next to the Passport Office) in Luxor – Nature Foldouts Available
Aboudy Bookstore, next to the Passport Office in Luxor, is carrying the AUC Press Nature Foldouts. Their fantastic selections of books includes rare out-of-print finds and books I didn’t even know to exist, like Richard Hoath’s “Egyptian Spring” from 1992, and Salima Ikram’s “A Zoo for Eternity; Animal Mummies from the Cairo Museum”.
The owner and clerk were as friendly as ever, and really encouraging about the Nature Foldouts. They only have one copy left of Birds of the Nile Valley!

AUC Press Nature Foldouts available at Aboudi Bookstore, across from Luxor Temple. Open since 2011, it has a wonderful selection of books including many publications by AUC Press. Drop by their store on El Karnak Street!
Egypt’s Flora and Fauna and Birds of the Nile Valley are located in two different places in the store. I told the clerk the two newest books in the series are now available: Ancient Egypt’s Wildlife and Egypt’s Prehistoric Fauna. The clerks gave me really positive feedback on the series!
