Welcome to episode 10 of theBalticon46 wrap up! Today, we’re going to talk about beer! Specifically, how you can make your own beer in the comfort of your own home. With a little effort and patience, you may be able to make better beer than you can buy in stores for much less. The Wayback Machine: The Shrinking Man Project: Episode 20 – Breaking the Tyranny of the Scale

Post image for The Wayback Machine: The Shrinking Man Project: Episode 20 – Breaking the Tyranny of the Scale

Finally getting the chance to get the Wayback Machine going again for this week’s #FlashbackFriday. I hope that I’ll be able to keep this up for a while. Today’s jaunt into the past takes us back to May 6th of 2011, a date when Philosophy returned to the Shrinking Man Project. This is one of the most important Philosophy episodes I’ve ever done on The Shrinking Man Project, as it addresses all the pain and anguish that people put themselves through for the sake of a number on a scale. If you’...

Writing again

Last week I wrote about my life being on Pause, but now I’m back writing again. What gives? Well, this week things are getting to be more under control, and last week’s post was really explaining the past two week’s absence…

My wife has been more mobile this week. She’s even started walking about in the house using just a cane. It takes her a bit to tighten up the muscles, but she’s doing it. She’s also noted that some things that caused pain before, she can now do without pain. This is a real...

Pause

Argh. I have missed two #WriterWednesdays, and The Wayback Machine seems to have crashed as soon as I started doing #FlashbackFridays. What happened to me? What is going on?

Well, two weeks ago, my wife had a full knee replacement on her right knee. And that is pretty much where all my time has gone since then. I can’t think if any other time in my life when I have worked harder or longer hours.

She is recovering well, aside from odd spikes of pain through her knee. She is progressing well thro...

Balticon 46 Wrap-up – Part 9, WordPress 101

Post image for Balticon 46 Wrap-up – Part 9, WordPress 101

Time once again for another episode in theBalticon46 wrap up. This episode is a recording from the panel WordPress 101. Terri “Flynnstress” Vernon moderates the panel featuring Chooch Schubert from the band Ditched by Kate, Gary Lester from Channel 37, and yours truly. In this panel we talk about WordPress, why we use it, and how it can help you manage your online content. WordPress is a very powerful tool, made more powerful by the many plug-ins that expand its capabilities.

Finally!

Yes, this is a very, very late #WriterWednesday post. In fact, it may not even be Wednesday anymore by the time it goes up. But I think I’ve got some very good reasons for the delay… and some very good news for folks who’ve been waiting for new releases from me. All in all, it has been a very, very busy week.

The big part of the week was preparing for my wife’s knee replacement surgery. She had the surgery today, and she is fine. In fact, I’m writing this from her hospital room while she argue...

The Wayback Machine: Galley Table 35 – Gods

Time once again for something from the Wayback Machine. I’m actually going to try to make this a regular #FlashbackFriday event. We’ll just have to see how successful I am at keeping things scheduled.

Anywho, This Friday we are turning the clock back to May 5, 2011 to revisit an all crew episode of The Galley Table. In episode thirty-five, we’re talking about gods and their place in your story. We talk about some of our favoritedeificfigures in stories and how they areeffectively, and non-effe...

Stuck again...

No, not my writing, my feed. Every few months the feed that pulls posts form my web site and brings them over here to Goodreads seems to jam up and stop updating. I'm trying to get it going again, but in the meantime, there have been three or four new posts over on Swimming Cat Studios that you might want to check out.

Until later.

And the winner is…

… someone else.

Oh, well. While it would have been nice to get a job offer right out of the gate, it would also have been pushing the odds a bit too far. But I’m not really discouraged. I submitted my audition on ACX last Tuesday, and on Thursday, I got contacted by two different authors inquiring about my availability. That was a little unexpected. Of course, these were just inquiries, not actual job offers…

Sadly, one of the properties was a first novel that did not look like it had good pros...
