It’s #FlashbackFriday! It is isn’t it? Yes, yes it is! And it is time for another episode from The Wayback Machine! We’re turning the clock back to June 3rd, 2011 and an episode of The Shrinking Man Project. The plan for this episode was to featurethe live recording of The Shrinking Man Project, but the recording suffered a couple of power failures, so this is a regular episode of the podcast featuring audio recorded on Monday afternoon at Balticon 45. Special Cover Reveal!
Today, I have the opportunity to do a very special post in the Pimpin’ Your Friends category. The friend in question is the lovely and talented Starla Huchton. Starla is not only a friend, she’s my cover artist. She did the cover for the e-book of my short story “Welcome to Paradox” and she will be doing the cover for my steampunk novelThe Perils of Prague. The Wayback Machine: Galley Table 36 – Writing Rites and Rituals

In this episode, we ask the panel what their rituals are, and how they feel these traditions ha...

Embracing your Writing Chains

My previous writing chain on the Magic Spreadsheet started at the beginning of February and lasted about two weeks. In the process, it produced over 15,000 words of w...

The Wayback Machine: The Shrinking Man Project: Episode 21 – The Good, The Bad, and The Exhausted
This #FlashbackFriday, the Wayback Machine takes us to May 11th, 2011 and another installment of The Shrinking Man Project. In this episode I am getting back to my diet and exercise program after having a blood clot removed in April. And dealing with the pre-Balticon excitement.
The promo for this episode was J. Daniel Sawyer’s Free Will and Other Compulsions. The podcast was in progress two years ago, but soon fizzled while Dan focused on finishing writing the book. Now, the podcast is back i...

RavenCon 2013
Well, it has been a long and tiring week. A big part of the week was a trip to Richmond, Va for RavenCon. This was our first time going to RavenCon, so we weren’t quite sure what to expect. Considering my previous sci-fi convention experience was Balticon, I found RavenCon to be considerably smaller. This did have some advantages, and a few disadvantages.
This was our first overnight trip since my wife had her knee replacement, too. So there was some concern over how we would manage everything...
