What do most authors have in common, no matter what genre they write? They love desserts. Sweets sustain them through pending deadlines and take the sting out of crushing rejection letters and nasty reviews. They also often celebrate their successes—selling a book, winning a writing award, making a bestseller list, or receiving a fabulous review—with decadent indulgences. And when authors chat with each other, they often talk about their writing and their lives. Recipes. Writing. Relationships. In this cookbook 105 authors not only share their favorite recipes for fabulous cakes, pies, cookies, candy, and more, they also share the best advice they’ve ever received on love and writing.
Authors include: Brenda Novak, Lois Winston, Debra Holland, Dale Mayer, Shelley Noble, Caridad Pineiro, Diana Orgain, Lisa Verge Higgins, Lynn Cahoon, Jasmine Haynes, Jan Carol, Meg Bellamy, Bobbi Chukran, Melissa Keir, Amy Gamet, Kristy Tate, Terry Shames, Barbara Phinney, Kitsy Clare, Raine English, Cathryn Cade, Haley Whitehall, Shilpa Mudiganti, Melinda Curtis, Jessa Slade, Jill Blake, Daryl Devore, Molly MacRae, Elizabeth Rose, Helena Fairfax, Lourdes Venard, Jessica Aspen, Maegan Beaumont, Kay Kendall, Elizabeth John, Victoria Adams, Cyndi Pauwels, Alice Loweecey, June Shaw, Donnell Ann Bell, T. Guest Post - Margaret Fieland and Geek Games

How far should the bedroom door be open? Not in erotica, where the reader wants and expects sex, but in a romance? And one for young adults?
My personal preference in these matters is colored by my reading a great many romance novels where I find the sex scenes boring. Yes, boring, and moreover, I find they slow down the pace of the novel. Writing a good sex scene is an art, and not everyone is equally good at it. A lot of what bothers me in the romance novels I read is where the author concentrates on the physical act as opposed to the feelings of the characters. Hey, I know what they do here, I have a good imagination. What I don't know and want to discover are what's going on in the characters' heads.
Regardless of the age of the characters, I don't want to include a scene in the novel if it doesn't advance the plot, and that means that most times I'm not going to advance too far into the bedroom. There are exceptions to this, where it is important to the characters and the plot to describe things in more detail, but not all that often.
Things become more complicated, however, when writing for teens, especially when they are the age of the characters I ended up writing about.
There are three novels published so far in my Novels of Aleyne series. Relocated, the first novel, has as the main character a fourteen year old boy, Keth, who gets involved in a terrorist plot – and with an alien girl. Keth , the main character, is a bit naïve, and he doesn't do any more than kiss the girl in this novel.
Geek Games, though published third in the series, takes place immediately after  Relocated and also has a young protagonist. Martin Samuels, the main character in the novel, becomes involved with an alien boy a few years older than he is. This time I wanted to take things further than I did in Relocated, where all Keth and Orodi do is kiss, but describing anything approaching a sex scene in a novel with a young teen as a main character means treading a delicate line.  I wanted to make it clear that Martin and his boyfriend, Beram, were getting it on without being offensive – or violating publishing guidelines.
It's clear that Martin likes guys right from the start. Here is a bit from the open scene:
No problem there. And when Martin finally kisses the guy, it's just a brief touch of the lips :
Gamal touched the door, and it retracted into the wall, revealing a synglass-coated chamber with shower heads suspended from the walls and ceiling and a spigot on one wall.

Inside my head, the vidi of me and Beram naked together in the steamy shower played two or three times. I nodded. “Who goes first?”
Suresh grinned.“You two may have the honor of the first shower this time.”

Gamal crossed his arms and stared at me.

Remove my clothes here, with Gamal and Suresh eager to examine my every move? The air stuck in my throat. They'd have a clear view of my naked body's reaction to Beram.

Gamal poked Suresh with his elbow and whispered something in his ear.

I'd probably been broadcasting my thoughts again. But lust overcame my fear, and Beram and I    stripped and stepped into the shower. We soaped up, and I couldn't help staring. Beram's smooth         skin showed no body hair at all.

"No Aleyni has body hair," he said. "You didn't realize?"

I shook my head. "How would I?" Did he find body hair repulsive? Mildly distasteful?  Intriguing, the way I found his smooth skin?

Beram touched a control on the wall, blasts of steam washed us clean. While I hesitated, wondering what to do, Beram pulled my head towards him and kissed me. I kissed him back.
His warm lips pressed against mine, smooth and soft. I breathed in the fragrance of citrus soap      and musk, Beram's odor and mine. Our mouths were closed, and it lasted only a moment, but    the universe tilled, and when it tilted back, everything changed.

No question remained: I loved men, always would. Period, end of sentence. The recognition started in my gut, in the center of my body and radiated outwards.

I took a step back and grinned at Beram. He placed a hand on the side of my face, only for a moment. It was the most intimate thing I'd ever experienced.

They do a bit more kissing but I couldn't describe much more than that. Here, for example, is a bit from later in the novel.

"It's fed by hot springs under the city." Beram leaned back against the side of the pool. After a moment, he moved over, wrapped his arms around me and kissed me. We clung together, turning over and over in the warm water. Then we went back to his room.
Even if I had wanted to, I couldn't be any more explicit than that.

Bio:When fourteen-year-old Martin lets Tom, a charismatic bully, persuade him to bring down the spaceport computer network, he never considers someone will place a bomb resulting in the death of his friend's father. Nothing will bring Captain Frey back, but if Martin can help locate the terrorists' drug lab, perhaps he'll be able to forgive himself.
Excerpt (G):

"Are we able to wash up?" I asked after the all clear sounded. "I stink.”“Come on,” Beram said. “I'll show you the shower.”“Come on, Alan, you too."Alan climbed down, and we followed Beram to the end of the corridor. A shower proved to be a popular idea, as the rest of the crew assembled behind us. Low laughter reached my ears, and I turned around.“What do you bet they both run off?” Gamal asked in Aleyni.Suresh threw an arm around Gamal's shoulder and planted a big kiss on his mouth. A grin split his face as he glanced at me.Some joke. Ha, ha. I was laughing my head off—not. Sure, he wanted to make me and Alan uncomfortable. Expected us to be uncomfortable. None of the Aleynis displayed either surprise or disgust, and my gut clenched. My father would have backhanded me if I'd kissed a man in his presence. I would have given every last credit I possessed, assuming I owned any, to make my father react the way the Aleynis did.Gamal's gaze bored into me, eyebrows raised, waiting for some kind of response, but the Aleyni word assembly line broke down, and my brain froze solid. Here's something weird. Or maybe not; I don't know. When I spoke Aleyni, I needed to think in Aleyni, so sometimes my thoughts would stop because I couldn't yet formulate the thought in the alien language.Hoping to unstop the dam, I opened my mouth to tell him he could go ahead and kiss all the men he wanted, with or without me around. No go. Pathetic.Gamal touched the door, and it retracted into the wall, revealing a synglass-coated chamber with shower heads suspended from the walls and ceiling and a spigot on one wall. After a minute, the log jam eased up. Showers were a much safer topic than kissing guys. “How does it work?”"You soap up, then steam to rinse off." Beram grinned, his gaze traveling up and down first my body, and then Alan's. "I'll show you. The shower is big enough for three. In order to save water, we shower two or three at a time.”Alan gulped and backed away from the door. “I'll pass.” He ran down the corridor."How about you?" Beram asked.Inside my head, the vidi of me and Beram naked together in the steamy shower played two or three times. I nodded. “Who goes first?”Suresh grinned.“You two may have the honor of the first shower this time.”Gamal crossed his arms and stared at me.Remove my clothes here, with Gamal and Suresh eager to examine my every move? Spotlight on Allison Merritt's WYSTAN: The Heckmasters

About the Book:Title: Wystan (The Heckmasters)Length: 228 pagesPubisher: Samhain PublishingPublication date: October 21, 2014
Blurb:Her search for safety lands her in a totally new kind of danger.
The Heckmasters, Book 1
Certain that an ad for a job in a small New Mexico Territory town is the answer to her prayers, Nebraska schoolteacher Rhia Duke packs her sister into a rickety wagon and heads west.
Except when they reach the near-deserted town, she learns the truth. There is no job, no future, and no welcome in the bleak blue eyes of the handsome sheriff.
The minute Rhia’s runaway team thunders into town, Wystan Heckmaster feels the change in the air. One of three sons of a demon who dared love a human, he keeps watch over a Pit guarded by seven seals, and slays any Hellbound demon that attempts to free the master imprisoned within.
With a gut full of regret and a forgotten town filled with reformed demons, Wystan is certain of one thing: he can’t be the man Rhia needs. But when the truth behind Rhia’s flight from Nebraska comes to light, Wystan must open his soul—and pray there’s enough love between them to overcome the darkness rising from the Pit.
Warning: Contains a take-no-prisoners sheriff, a woman who can’t outrun her supernatural secrets, and a dusty town where hope is as thin as dust in the wind. Author recommends keeping a glass of cool spring water at your elbow while reading.
Excerpt:            Something changed in the air the moment the wagon crossed the town’s border. Tooearly to be a supply train, and there was no way in hell it was visitors. Berner didn’t hosttown fairs, theatre troupes, peddlers, or bible thumpers.            Wystan Heckmaster slapped his battered Stetson on his head, collected the keys to thejail, then stepped out the door. The first thing he saw was a pretty woman with hair the colorof maple sugar—a rich brownish-blonde. The frown on her face spoke volumes, and the airaround her pronounced trouble. She made a straight path for him.            “Mr. Heckmaster. Or should I call you Sheriff? Or Mayor? I need to discuss the ad inthe Lancaster County Republican with you. Someone placed an ad, but your brother tells methere is no school here. I’m sure there has to be a mistake. There’s only one Berner in NewMexico Territory. I’m very capable at reading maps. If I wasn’t, I would be ashamed to callmyself a teacher.”            He doubted she had taken more than two or three breaths during the speech. If shemade talking in rambling paragraphs a habit, no wonder she looked so peaked.            “Teacher?” He glanced along the street, but it was deserted as usual. “Lady, we don’thave a school here. Certainly no need of a teacher.”            Her hands balled into fists that settled on her hips. The dress she wore was patched—the egg yolk yellow faded into something even more disgusting. It had little flowers dottingthe material, but they looked as worn as her scuffed black boots.            “Then what was the purpose of placing an ad in the Lancaster County Republican?”She spoke with the fierceness of a mama bear warning predators away from her cubs.            Wystan reached into his shirt pocket and drew out a toothpick.            “I didn’t place any ad in any Lancaster County anything.” He looked past her, expectingEban to saunter up the street. Eban had to be the brother she’d referred to since Tell was stillon the trail.            “Someone did,” she insisted. She fished a crumpled and much-folded piece of newsprintout of the pocket hidden by the folds of her skirt. “See? Right here it says, ‘School teacherwanted for spring term at Berner Schoolhouse. Wages paid based on experience. Room andboard provided. Apply in person at City Hall, Berner, New Mexico Territory.’ I’m sure myeyes don’t deceive me.”            Wystan stared at the clipping, then back at the woman. A galaxy of freckles spatteredacross her nose and cheekbones, making her look younger than her eyes said she was. Fullfigured and sure as shittin’ a grown woman. The wariness and worry darkening her hazeleyes gave her away as one with a lot of trouble on her plate.            “I can read.”            She pulled the ad away from his face, folded it, and returned it to her pocket. “Wherewould you suggest I look for an explanation, Mr. Heckmaster?”            Fussy little thing. “I assure you that no one in this town did. There’s been a mistake.Sorry to inconvenience you, Miss Schoolteacher. Now turn around and head home.”            A flush colored her cheeks. “I can’t head home! I have no home to return to. My littlesister and my friend are waiting at the doctor’s office for me to straighten this mess out. Thead says that room and board will be provided. I’d expected to move into a room, sir.”            “You left them with Eban?” That explained his absence.            “Beryl is ill, Sheriff. This is the first town we’ve seen in days and it was past time for herto get some attention.” Despair crept into her voice.            Wystan shifted his weight and transferred the toothpick to the other side of his mouth.            “Eban’s not exactly trained in human medicine.”            The woman’s mouth opened into an O. She shook her head and seemed to regain hersenses. “He’s a veterinarian? He seemed certain he could help Beryl.”            Wystan cleared his throat. “Sure, animal doctor. I’m sorry for your misfortune, lady, but as you can see, Berner’s about run into the ground. There’s nothing here for you or yourfriend. Might be best to move along.”            She seemed to deflate. “Move along.” Her lips moved, softly forming the words, but itwas as though she didn’t comprehend them. “We’ll move along, right down the trail into thenext town where there won’t be any teaching jobs either. Sylvie, Beryl, and I will starve todeath on the side of the road with no one in the world to care.”

About the Author:A love of reading inspired Allison Merritt to pursue her dream of becoming an author who writes historical, paranormal and fantasy romances, often combining the sub-genres. She lives in a small town in the Ozark Mountains with her husband and dogs. When she's not writing or reading, she hikes in national parks and conservation areas.
Allison graduated from College of the Ozarks in Point Lookout, Missouri with a B.A. in mass communications that's gathering dust after it was determined that she's better at writing fluff than hard news.

Daryl Devore's Black Dorn on WIP It Up Wednesday #wipitup

Welcome to Erotic Notions and WIP It Up Wednesday. This snippet is a continuation from my erotic medieval romance - Black Dorn.

Set Up – After being lost and shocked by what she witnessed in the maze, Brawnyn is about to meet her future.
(Dictionary - for those who haven't started at the beginning with this – Duna means instructor –  so Duna Trea is Branwyn's instructor. A Dune is one who is to be instructed - Dune Branwyn. Gon means King.)A horse's snort startled Branwyn. She rose and hurried toward the sound. Two magnificent beasts—human and animal—stood beside a small creek. The black horse, dusty from the trail, drank as the man wiped his chin and returned a wineskin to his horse’s saddle. The man stood in profile to Branwyn but seemed a fine specimen. His face had a pleasantly formed brow, nose and chin and curly, black hair skimmed his shoulders. His arms and chest looked strong enough to easily manage the large sword hanging at his side. The horse turned an ear toward her, lifted his head and whinnied. Startled, the man returned from his reverie and looked at her. Branwyn scurried over. "Oh please, sire. My name is Branwyn. I come from Black Dorn. I am newly arrived and have gotten lost. Can you please direct me?" His brow wrinkled. "If you live at Black Dorn, who is your serving girl? Your duna?" "Leah serves me. Duna Trea is to…to…instruct me." "Explain why you’re so far from Dorn." "I wandered about the flower garden and entered the maze. Once there, I got lost." Her eyes filled with tears and she lowered her head. "Did you enjoy the maze?" His voice made her want to giggle. Branwyn shook her head. "No? But it is a place of games and pleasure. Did you not go there to seek pleasure?" "No, I found no pleasures there. Only games I do not understand." She wiped away a tear. "Please sire, I am tired and hungry and feel I may soon collapse. Which way must I travel to return to Black Dorn?" His horse nudged him in the back with his nose. The man placed both strong hands around her waist and lifted her to his saddle. He mounted the horse, tugged on the rein and directed his horse back to Black Dorn. When they entered the courtyard, Leah ran across the cobblestones, skidded to a stop and dropped to her knees. The horse halted a few feet in front of her. Branwyn slipped down from the stallion, curtsied to her escort and walked to her serving girl. "Leah." His voice boomed across the courtyard. Still kneeling, Leah quivered. "Do not let your dune wander about freely. She needs guidance." As he turned, a stable boy reached for the reins. He tossed them over, dismounted and strode toward the castle. When the sounds of his footsteps faded, Leah stood. "I do not need guidance," Branwyn snapped. "I got lost. What a rude, arrogant man. He did not have the upbringing to know to introduce himself." "Dune Branwyn," whispered Leah as she led her into the castle, "That is Gon Lacke’s eldest son. He will inherit the castle, lands and people. There will be a feast tomorrow to honor his safe return. But now, I must get you to your room. You must be exhausted from your day. A bowl of mulled wine will soothe you."
Tiredness did not creep up on Branwyn, it ambushed her.

A Kept Woman on Weekend Writing Warriors #8sunday

This week my 8 sentence snippet for Weekend Writing Warriors is from my erotic contemporary – A Kept Woman. Scene Set up – Arianne has accepted the job as billionaire, Derek Davenport's diversion and has gone to a coffee shop to meet him. Derek is speaking.
“Then I may as well lay everything on the table. Since this is a business deal I’ll be blunt. This whole thing is about me. You are an employee. Your needs are irrelevant. If the sex isn’t satisfying to you, then the pay check should be. Do you have a problem with that?”Arianne tugged on the zipper of her sweater and slowly lowered it, revealing her naked breasts.

Blurb – A Kept Woman – Daryl Devore -Erotic Contemporary Heat – 5 hot peppers
Desperately unemployed, Arianne, answers an ad that reads Woman Wanted. With miniscule hours and excellent pay, she accepts the position of courtesan to Derek, a handsomely dashing man, whom she discovers is a billionaire. Spotlight on Shannon Leigh's Deconstructing Lila

Deconstructing LilaShannon Leigh She’ll bring him to his knees…Preservationist Lila Gentry returns to her small Texas hometown to restore the famous Chisholm Trail whorehouse where her great-great-grandmother was a madam in the 1880s. On her agenda is winning back Jake, the one that got away. But how do you rope a man who doesn't want to be wrangled?Jake lives by one creed: Keep it simple. His ex showing up in town complicates his life and makes him think about things he'd rather forget. When Lila's restoration project is threatened before it even begins, she turns to Jake for help. Working together stirs up old feelings, but while Lila and Jake always sizzle between the sheets—or wherever the moment takes them—it will involve some sweet-talking and finesse to bring these two together. Excerpt -

“Jake saw Lila the minute she pulled onto the site. His heart completed a painful three-sixty in his chest as he watched her long legs appear from underneath the car door, followed by her torso encased in a clinging white cotton tank. She was a fragrant tropical breeze blowing through the desert. And he was a man in need of relief. He watched her climb the steps to the pad, her light- colored trousers hugging the rounded shape of her bottom. He felt an immediate response from below, a tightening of his balls inside his jeans, a pulsing he didn’t need at the moment.Turning his back on his her, Jake studied the plans of the house under construction. The dimensions for the garage swam before his eyes as he listened to Otis greet Lila.He couldn’t make out their conversation, but the soft melody of her voice comforted him, reassured him in a way he hadn’t felt in some time. She had the ability to do that, put him at ease with the simple sound of her voice. To Jake, Lila represented home. No matter where they were, what they were doing, as long as she was there, he was home.”Author Bio: Growing up in Hell’s Back Forty, Shannon Leigh developed a fierce loyalty to all things Texas and pledged to share the romance of small town dance halls and the flavor of brisket BBQ with readers.  Currently, she lives in Fort Worth with an extensive cowboy boot collection, a red and white, ’67 Chevy pickup and a mission to find the best taco stands in the city. She’s been writing since Jesus was a small boy, but recently found a home with the uber wonderful folks at Entangled Publishing. When she’s not writing fiction, she writes features for local magazines, sells real estate, and runs around with a particular 11 year old known as “The Boy.”Website  * Twitter  * Facebook  * Goodreads

Black Dorn on WIP It Up Wednesday #wipitup

Welcome to Erotic Notions and WIP It Up Wednesday. This next snippet is a continuation from 2 weeks ago from my erotic medieval romance - Black Dorn.

Set Up –Brawnyn is informed that she must learn "the needs of the bed" before  she is married. She is shocked and needs time to think.
Trea brushed a stray hair from her face. Your instruction begins tomorrow." Branwyn tilted her head. "I am to be married tomorrow?" "No, your master does not want you until you have been trained. You are useless to him until—no." Trea put her hand up. "Wander about the castle. Do not speak to anyone unless they speak to you first. Go." Branwyn stood, curtsied and left. Her steps sounded hollow as she descended the staircase. Leah waited at the bottom. "Come, Dune Branwyn. Relax by the flower gardens. You have heard much, and are confused. You need time to think." She led the way to the castle gardens."Leah, you are a magical person. You seem to read my very thoughts." Branwyn sat on a bench beneath a large shade tree. She looked up at the great castle called Black Dorn with its dark, grey, stone walls and four towering turrets dominating over the landscape. The power and size of Black Dorn contrasted against the peace of the fragrant and colorful flower gardens near where she sat. "May I wander about the garden?" "Oh yes, enjoy yourself, Dune Branwyn." The scents and colors distracted Branwyn from the puzzling information she had learned that morning. A path through the rose garden led her to a maze. She remembered enjoying running in and out of a maze's paths when her aunt and uncle had taken her to a spring festival at the duke’s manor. After going around only a few corners of the hedge-lined paths, Branwyn thought she heard voices. Had she reached the end so quickly? She turned a corner and put her hand to her mouth to stifle a gasp. Before her, stood a woman tied to the bush with arms and legs stretched wide. She was naked, except for a cloak that shielded her back from the hedge. Two men stood before her each suckling a breast like a young babe, with their hands frantically moving in front of them and grunts escaping their filled mouths. The one on the right gasped, and a stream of fluid shot out from him and sprayed the woman’s belly. A moment later, the same occurred with the other man. Branwyn retreated and raced through pathways. She brushed against the rough hedge, stumbled and fell. Breathless, she stood, ran forward a few feet and turned at what she prayed to be the exit. She skidded to a stop. Before her were two naked men locked in the same position she’d seen with her uncle’s dog and bitch. The kneeling man gasped for air as he mercilessly pounded himself against the other. The blindfolded man on his hands and knees screamed as the kneeling man arched his back and emitted a long howl. Branwyn tuned, bounced of the hedge and fled in whatever direction the path before her went. She raced through the maze, hoping the next path would lead her to the exit. Her heart pounded as her legs grew weary. She slowed her pace. Before her, a small opening appeared where a section of hedge was dead. She forced her way through, glad to be free of the terrifying place, but concerned as to where she now stood. The maze she just passed through now blocked her view of the castle and gardens. With no one around, Branwyn fought back tears as a cold shudder of fear raced through her. She refused to re-enter the maze and make her way back to the entrance. Which way to turn? Left or right? She collapsed onto the ground and heaved a troubled sigh.

Capri's Fate is on the Fall into Romance BlogHop

If you are here for the Fairy Tale Magic Blog Hop – PLEASE scroll down.

Welcome to Erotic Notions and the Fall in to Romance Blog Hop. In my erotic contemporary fantasy – Capri's Fate - Thall is the son of a Fate and he literally fell into romance with Capri. He existed in the world of the Fates – and think of his body being made of mist. He falls in love with Capri and asks his mother for help winning her heart. But first he must become human.

The sensation of falling stopped. Thall opened his eyes and glanced around. Hmm. Never been in one of these before. Airplane hangar, I think. The sonic boom of a thunderclap startled him. He dropped whatever was in his hand. It landed on his foot."Ow." He looked at the long, metal tool resting beside his shoe. I felt that? I shouldn't have. Thall nudged the tool with his shoe, moved it then raised his eyebrows. This is weird. Placing his hand on the small plane that he stood beside, he slid his fingers across the cool metal. He tapped the tip of his finger on the metal and listened to the sound it made.A flash of light drew his attention to the open hangar doors and the storm that raged beyond them. He walked closer and stood just inside the building, protected by the roof, but able to smell the wet coolness of the rain and hear the bass deep rolls of thunder as they rumbled across the sky. He closed his eyes. "Lachesis. Mother. What have you done?"Her voice filled his mind. "For the moment, you are human. You have all the memories you will need. Of course, if you run into a problem, ask.""You didn't slip me in to someone else's body, did you?" He glanced at his hands expecting to see decay and rot. But was pleased to see tanned flesh splotched with grease."No, Thall. It is your body, but I changed your look. Having never done this before, I do not know if something will cause you to revert to your true self."Her voice disappeared leaving him to his own thoughts. With one last look at the storm, Thall returned to the airplane, bent over and picked up the tool he'd dropped. He held it in his left hand. "Oh, you're a screwdriver." A picture flashed in his mind. "Okay, you screw with it. Makes sense." He glanced up at the plane's engine. The cover was open. He climbed the ladder and peered inside. "So hoping I'm not expected to fix this." Curious about the mechanics of the machine and not paying attention to the physics of a ladder, Thall lost his balance and grabbed the side of the engine, dropping the screwdriver. After steadying himself, he climbed down and bent over to pick up the tool."Excuse me?""What?" He lifted his head and smacked it on the tip of the propeller. "Ow. Shit." Walking toward the voice, he rubbed the sore spot. "I don't think I like pain.""Not many of us do."Thall stopped in front of a tall woman who was busy shaking the rain off her coat and umbrella. "Do what?" He checked his hand for blood."Like pain. Not many people like pain. Although I understand some love it and in some instances it can be very erotic, but that's not why I'm here." The woman stood upright and stuck out her hand. "Capricious Gray.""That's nice." He held up his greasy hands. Capri dropped hers and smiled. With the loose ends of her hair blowing about in the breeze from the doorway and the wrinkles in her clothing, Thall noted Capri was the most beautiful jet-lagged woman he'd ever seen. Capri glanced about the large hangar. A gleaming white jet was parked off to the left, and where the mechanic had been working was a plane with propellers and a blue and red swirl along the length of it. "This is T. Hall Charterways?"Thall nodded and wiped his hands on his overalls. He reached for Capri's luggage, but she stopped him with a smile. With a click, she extended the handles and led the luggage deeper into the hangar as if she were leading her champion Pekinese.Stopping near the jet, she released the luggage and dug her tablet out of her flight bag. "I have a flight reservation for—""Flight? Lady, you looked outside? It's a freakin' cyclone." He scratched the back of his neck. "You know what a cyclone is?"Still holding the tablet, Capri crossed her arms and glared. "Me. When I'm angry."
