This snippet is from my latest - which is a release - erotic contemporary - Brace for Impact. This is from the box set - Crashing into Love- which we split up and have individually released our stories.
Scene set -The flight rookie flight attendant, Paix, and RCMP officer, Guy were on crashed. They made it to an island. Guy has to go out to the plane to check for other survivors. He discovers he's not alone in the water.


A movement at the corner of his eye put every nerve on high alert. He rode up the wave's swell and hissed. A fin. Any hope in hell that's a dolphin? Merde. How do I get back to shore and not catch his attention? Guy flipped to his back and kicked his feet, while trying to keep a visual on the fin, praying it hadn’t detected him.

Review  -Daryl Devore's book was fantastic also it was probably one of my favorites of the set. I was crying at the end thinking the worst but it turned out great.


Review - Daryl Devore likes to add unexpected events to her novels. And this one has several which if you google you’ll discover have really happened. So as you read this delightful story thinking it over the top, remember that while some events may seem improbable, life is full of improbable occurrences.
I thought both Guy and Paix were stand-up people. Paix had a moment of not so stand up when she finds her brother, but even there, when she thinks it through, she rights herself in short order. No one is perfect, but these two are really good, which results in great extreme action fun.

We talked about the weather, her new dress, my job—you know, just old—no, scratch old, put longtime—girlfriend stuff.After a diet conscious meal, followed by a calorie-loaded dessert, we waited outside for a taxi. "Do you trust me?" With a goofy grin on her face, Kat's dark chocolate mellowed-from-too-much-wine, eyes gazed at me.Having seen that innocent demeanor before; it meant nothing but trouble. I was a bit wary. Okay, a lot wary! The last time she'd gawked at me like that and asked the same brainless question, we ended up at a frat house beer slosh during Homecoming and I wasn't in college anymore.A cab pulled up and stopped. She grabbed my arm and dragged me into it. "Convention Center."I slid next to her and shut the car door. "What's at the convention center?" "That's the trust me bit."
