Quadruple Review: SEALed series by Mary Margaret Daughtridge
Dear Ms. Daughtridge:
This review is a testament to the power of the Kindle free chapter. I had never heard of your SEAL books until Jane wrote her opinion piece on the caretaking alpha, and someone mentioned your books in the comments. Although I'm not a big fan of military heroes, for some reason I was intrigued, went to Amazon, and downloaded the first chapter of SEALed With A Kiss. That evening, while I was looking for a new book, I hit on that chapter and started reading. By the time I...

DA/SBTB Bestseller List, Week ending June 1, 2011
It is no surprise to us that Courtney Milan's book is number one on our lists but mostly because I think it is other readers telling their friends about how good it is. Oh and the price. Who can pass up a good story for $.99? Not many of you.

I know a number of people received the iPad for gifts this year, either for Christmas or some other event. I've got a list of my favorite apps that I think no iPad should be without. Most of them are free.

REVIEW: Love at First Flight by Marie Force
Dear Ms. Force:
You sent me Fatal Force a while back and I enjoyed it. When Love at First Flight was available on Amazon for free, I snapped it up. I waffled between whether I should review a book I got for free but I figured that no one would object if I positively reviewed a book I received for free and thus the reverse should be true. As you have stated previously, you are selling all kinds of books and this book has a number of positive reviews so my opinion is likely an outlier. ...

REVIEW: Scoring Lacey by Jenna Howard
Dear Ms. Howard,
Older women-younger men must be the new vampires. I'm seeing quite a lot of it in the past few months but that didn't stop me from picking this one up. What can I say, I'm weak for (hot, hunky, muscled) sports heroes.
[image error]So, um plot. Older heroine who hooks up with her younger brother's best friend who is ten years younger than she is. Shayne is a hockey player but – a goalie! He's got great hands but can't shoot for shit. He is hot for Lacey now that she's tossed her two timing ...
Friday Midday Links: eBook Quality Issues and Borders eBooks Alerts
On Tuesday (I think it was Tuesday), I downloaded the teaser chapters of Connie Brockway's Amazon Montlake book. Amazon Montlake, you'll recall, is Amazon's romance imprint. The teaser chapters are designed to promote Brockway's book and encourage you to buy the title when it is released in November. I am excited about Brockway's releases. I've been awaiting Giles' story since forever and I am hopeful that The Other Guy's Bride will be just as good as it's predecessor, As You Desire.
That ...
Friday Film Review: The Wedding Singer
The Wedding Singer (1998)
Genre: Romantic Comedy
Grade: B-
[image error]I'll be honest and say that I didn't expect I'd like this movie. Drew Barrymore is an actress who works for me about 50:50 while Adam Sandler is someone I'll dive for the remote to change the channel away from. But the comments about the movie in the "Ever After" thread made me shrug my shoulders and say "why not?"

REVIEW: Deconstruction by Kit Zheng
Dear Ms. Zheng.
Dianne Fox recommended this book on her LiveJournal and since she's part of my "trust network" and I was intrigued by the description — "seriously fantastic" and "dark and gritty and wrenching" — I went out and bought it. And oh, am I glad I did.

Theories on Kaleb Krychek. The Man, The Mystery, The Romance
After I read Kiss of Snow, I started to re-read the entire Psy series. I did so because in reading Kiss of Snow, I began to form a picture of Kaleb Krychek in my mind and I had to go back and figure out if the previous mentions of him fit the crystallizing image.
This is a post full of spoilers. Please don't read and complain you got spoiled. Everything in this post is spoilerish. It's like a spoiler fiesta. Or a spoiler pinata that's been broken open with all the spoilers lying on the...
