Tour Stop #8
Andrea, one of the great gals and contributors of The Bookish Babes, is as awesome as the name of her blog. Her blog is the 8th and final stop on the tour. Here is a little of what she thought of Betrayal.
"The cover of Betrayal is what initially drew me to this book. Take a look. It is stunning. From the lush, gorgeous dress to the swirl of scenery surrounding Cordelia, the symbolism is prevalent. Once I started reading Betrayal and was able to tie different elements of the story to the visual elements of the cover, I loved it even more."
There is only (4) days left for the Blog Tour Contest to win a $25 Amazon gift card, a signed paperback of Betrayal, and ebook copies. The winners will be announced June 11th. For more details, click here.

Tour Stop # 7
Nakesha at Totally Obsessed says she's obsessed about alot of things, but first and foremost books. So I was really excited when she expressed interest in reading mine. She is the 7th stop of the Tour. Here is a tidbit of her review:
"I must say I loved this book! Mayandree has an incredibly intricate and detailed writing style. She created world so vivid while reading I almost felt apart of it. In the Capius mansion, the Nevada Sierra, the desolate Tieron Mansion, the amazingly beautiful garden, no aspects was left blank. The clothing of the late 1880's era was described in great detail as well. I would have loved to attend the Masquerade Ball if just to see the costumes. The introduction of the Greek mythological lineage for the main characters was incredible and something I haven't seen very often."
You can read the full review here and interview here.
Also Nakesha is hosting her first giveaway: a signed copy of Betrayal! whoo hoo! So run on over there and enter for another chance to win a copy.

Precious, an avid reader, full-time student, and aspiring writer who runs the fun blog: "Fragments of Life", is the 5th stop on the blog tour. Here is a snippet of her review.
"Betrayal started out like most paranormal romance novels: a teenage girl wanted nothing but to get away from her boring birthplace – Nickel City. The following events surprised me. These twists and turns spiced up the novel and were one of the things that I liked about the novel.Cordelia found out that she was one of the direct descendants of the Greek gods and that she was betrothed to... *** I can't believe anyone is saying that they're sick of listening to this song because of all the airplay it's getting. Well, I can't get enough of it. It's what's blaring in my ear right now - on Replay! Adele -Rolling In The Deep. I'll definitly be adding this one to Sacrifice's playlist.
What else is in my ear, you ask? Check out the side bar. : )

[image error] Vy (pronounced Vee) of Vy's blog - smartly named after herself ;) decided to try an indie novel for the first time. I'm honored that she decided to start with mine. Here are Vy's thought's on Betrayal.
"Welcome to the 3rd tour stop of the Betrayal Blog Tour! When I first found Betrayal in the mail I was stoked! Not only was it going to be my first Indie read but it's also Greek mythology based. All I could look at was the gorgeous cover, but then I freaked a little at the 657 pages. At first I wasn't sure how I could possibly finish it, but the 657 pages skimmed by pretty fast after a while. It was action packed with many twists and turns and complicated relationships. All Cordelia thought about was... "

Bonnie over at The Backwards Story was sweet enough to squeeze Betrayal into her reading schedule, which I appreciate very much because my book's chunky. Here are her thoughts on it.
"I always have certain expectations going into novels. Sometimes I'm let down, and other times, I'm stunned beyond my wildest expectations, as was the case with BETRAYAL by Mayandree Michel, the first in THE DESCENDANTS trilogy. I didn't have many expectations for this book beyond salivating over Greek mythology and being caught up in an epic adventure. I wasn't expecting historical elements such as the fact that the majority of the book takes place during the Victorian era or the inclusion of various paranormal beings. I also wasn't expecting to like this independently-published novel more than much-buzzed about traditionally published novels such as THE GODDESS TEST and STARCROSSED. The story, however, completely blew me away and I can't wait to continue my journey through the next two books."
Bonnie also invited me to do a guest blog on my formula for world building in my writing. You can read that here.
Also since I'm always listening to music while I post, I figure I'd let you hear what's on replay in my ear right now. They're an awesome group from LA. Just so happends that their album released today. Yay!

The lovely Amber @ The Musings of ALMYBNENR
emailed me this morning and let me know that she had finished reading Betrayal and posted her review on it. Here's a little of what she had to say:
"My first impression when I saw the paperback of Betrayal was whoa! This is a big book! I may have been a little daunted! But please, do not let the length of the book deter you. The story is so enthralling that I was reluctant to put it down to sleep or do anything else and I would fantasize about Cordelia's world when I was not reading. The characters were distinct and varied. I really liked Cordelia. Her struggle to remember her previous life added depth to her and her experiences from both of her lives bettered her as a person."

Also, Amber is holding a giveaway of one signed paperback of Betrayal ending May 27th, so run on over there and enter!
