Sunday Prepper Bible Study-Happy Resurrection Day!

Now upon the first day of the week, very early in the morning, they came unto the sepulchre, bringing the spices which they had prepared, and certain others with them. And they found the stone rolled away from the sepulchre. And they entered in, and found not the body of the Lord Jesus. And it came to pass, as they were much perplexed thereabout, behold, two men stood by them in shining garments: And as they were afraid, and bowed down their faces to the earth, they said unto them, Why seek ye the living among the dead? He is not here, but is risen . . .

Luke 24:5

This is what it’s all about. There’s nothing I can say to expound upon the plain simple truth of the sacrifice and resurrection of our Messiah.

When I think about what God put himself through that I might be saved, I find myself totally impoverished, unable to make good on the debt I owe.

I pray that this reality will stick with us all year round. And that we will consider the mercy we’ve been shown, treating others the way Christ has treated us.

Thank you Jesus. Thank you for your mercy and forgiveness.

Sunday Prepper Bible Study-Pray for Our Leaders

I exhort therefore, that, first of all, supplications, prayers, intercessions, and giving of thanks, be made for all men; For kings, and for all that are in authority; that we may lead a quiet and peaceable life in all godliness and honesty.

The world is a bad neighborhood. President Trump has some tough decisions to make. Like many people, I’m apprehensive about getting involved in yet another conflict.

Yes,  Assad is a bad apple, but he is ten times better than the radical Muslims who will take over if his regime falls.

Last week’s missile strike has strained our relationship with Russia. And with Kim Jong acting a fool, we need all the friends we can get in that region.

Steve Bannon’s role in the administration was diminished last week. This is a man who has a clear understanding of the Constitution and sees radical Islam for what it is.

President Trump needs your prayers. Pray that God will guide him and direct him. And pray that he won’t shut out wise council like Steve Bannon and Rand Paul.

Additionally, let the president know what you think about Syria, HR 586, the TSA, and Steve Bannon. Take two minutes to write President Trump and tell him where we stand on these issues. I really think he’ll listen.

The above picture was Google’s doodle for last Friday, March 31st. Here’s a few observations about this pipe dream of tolerance and message of false unity depicted in the doodle.

The Muslim must have a knife in each hand because she’s between the Jew and the homosexual, both of which are her enemies according to the Quran. The apostate Christian is embracing the transgender, failing to tell it that there is no salvation outside of repentance. A person in the crowd behind the Christian is holding up the sign of the Goat of Mendes, a sign of satanism. And they are all getting along, just waiting for a one world religion, one world monetary system, and one world government led by the Anti-Christ. If you don’t think we’re living in the end times, you aren’t paying attention.

We are instructed to speak the truth in love. However, pretending that sin isn’t sin, isn’t the truth and it’s not loving. And pretending that our enemies aren’t out to destroy us isn’t smart. Wake up Google! Your doodle is as disconnected from reality as a can of ravioli winning a tennis match.

Sunday Prepper Bible Study-Fear of the Lord

A son honoureth his father, and a servant his master: if then I be a father, where is mine honour? and if I be a master, where is my fear? saith the Lord of hosts unto you, O priests, that despise my name.

Malachi 1:6

Here’s yet another verse where God is talking about his disappointment with the spiritual leadership. When you purpose to study the Word of God on your own, you’d be surprised at how many times the subject comes up. If you’re relying on having the Bible spoon fed to you at church, you probably won’t hear to much about it. The reason should be obvious.

But this week, rather than bashing pastors of apostate churches, lets see what else we can learn from this lesson. The major take away here is that you cannot rely on another human being to teach you the Word of God. When we read God’s complaints against priests in the Old Testament and see Jesus’ contempt for the scribes and pharisees in the New Testament, the message seems to be that we need to read the Word for ourselves and ask the Holy Spirit to expound upon the verses to give us deeper understanding.

I’m not saying that you shouldn’t listen to godly teachers preach the Bible. There are still a few left and some are exceedingly dedicated teaching the Gospel. But, if you’re not reading the Bible for yourself, you’ll never be able to tell the difference between the faithful and the apostate.

If you’re led astray by apostate teaching and you’ve not been diligent in studying God’s word, you have no one to blame but yourself. You must be steeped truth and able to hold the plumb line of the Bible up to the teaching of your pastor to see if he is true to God’s Word.
