Release party with erotic authors JP Archer And Lani Rhea

JP Archer And Lani Rhea Erotic Romance Authors

We're glad you stopped in to check out what all the buzz is about around these two sexy authors! I've decorated just for you with red ribbons, garland and goodies for all. Grab your drink at the bar, flirt with our sexy bartender and he wants me to mention that you pay attention to his mistletoe above the bar. *wink* Yes, he's giving away kisses this week.

JP and Lani will be around all week to chat with you and answer questions you might have for them. Their newest story has just been released, The Ark Hotel: Before the Dawn, as part of the anthology inside The Sexiest Time of The Year. Let's chat with them so you can learn more about what makes these two tick!
LR: Thanks for having us back, Tonya!!! We loveblogging on your blog.
Tonya: I've found writing to be both rewarding and frustrating. What do you find most rewarding about writing?
Jp: I love being a part of making a whole new"world
LR: What I find most rewarding is seeing the finalproduct done and submitted. Then the sweating begins as I hope the story willbe picked up. All in all, writing is relaxing to me.
Tonya: Now,what is your least favorite part?
LR: Edits, rewrites or just starting all over fromthe very beginning. This is what I don't like about the whole writing process.
Jp: EDITS! EDITS! EDITS! Cuts and rewriting toreach a word count cutoff or trying to give the publisher what they SAID theywanted. (GROWLS in disgust.)
Tonya: Youknow you have to give us your "How I got published" story. So, spill it.
LR: I originally contacted Sascha Illyvich with anidea. He wanted me to submit. But the story didn't pan out the way I wanted itto. So I asked JP to take a look at it, *grin* and give me her ideas. The nextthing we know we were writing the story together. We trashed the original ideaand in four days banged out almost 20K.
Jp: I didn't mean to write it, I just kept puttingmy two cents in, and before I knew it there were several thousand words. Atthat point Lani asked me not to be an editor, but a co-author. For which I wasvery flattered and excited.
Tonya: Tell us a bit about yourself. Do you have aday job?
LR: My day job consists of edits, writing, critiquing other's work and plotting. Then the kids come home and I'm a mom tothem and wife to my husband.
Jp: I'm a Registered Nurse working in home health40 hours a week. For me writing is something that I have to slip in between joband family. However, if someone wants to loan me $50K so I can take a year off, just to write, I'll be happy to send them my bank account number. *grin*
Tonya: Some of us have things we do to get into thewriting frame of mind like music, or drinks. Do you have anything special youdo to get into the writing mood?
JP: We keep joking were gonna rent a cabin in themiddle of the forest for 10 days with nothing but our laptops, Dr. Pepper andDoritos. (Lani says she actually wants a month!) Sometimes it's hard to get inthe damn mood. *Hence all the edits*
Tonya: Are you ever at a loss for ideas? What do youdo to get past those time? I don't have them often but being out in my yard andgardens helps me get creative.
JP: No. We play off each other so well that aloss for ideas is not the issue. The issue with us is going overboard. Lol Wehave to scale back a lot. Or our stories would be 100K.
Tonya: Do you have a card file where you keep storyideas? Where do they come from?
LR: I have tons of notebooks I keep my ideas in,also my laptop. Ideas pop up from out of nowhere for me most of the time.
Jp: She keeps trying to get me to do that, thenotebook thing and all. But she doesn't understand I have a photographicmemory. And if I read or speak about something, I rarely forget it. I haveabout an 85% recall for everything. Unless I'm on Lortab. LOL (I recently had atooth issue.)
Tonya: Readers, enjoy the beginning of the except and come back for the next installment!
Excerpt:
He sighed heavily. "It's no big secret or anything. When I was eight, mybiological mother killed herself, and almost killed me in a drunk drivingaccident."
Noah's eye lit upon his surrogate mother and mentor. The older womansmiled her encouragement to continue.
"Lizzy pulled me from the wreck before the car exploded. I didn't haveany other family. She adopted me soon after. Lizzy raised me from that point tothe man I am today."
He left much out of the statements. He was sure the topic would berevisited, but for now it was good enough.
"That's all you needed to say."
"Okay, let's get the bottle of wine to chilling. Noah you got an ETA oncarving that bird?" Lizzy breezed through any remaining ruffled feathers.
"As, always, your wish…"
Lizzy waved dismissively. "I know, I know, my commence. He always was asmart ass, Angie."
"I'm learning." She strode to the upright side-by-side and pulled openthe refrigerator door with more effort than necessary. Angie placed the bottleof wine on the shelf and slammed the door a bit.
Not off the hot seat yet, Noah decided. Not by a long shot. He made quickwork of the turkey, while the two women of his life discussed his faults andfollies like he wasn't even in the room.
He might have been disgruntled, but after his near miss with the bulletof his past, he decided to lay low and let them have at him. His only bit ofmischief happened when he passed under the mistletoe carrying the bird.
He stopped in his tracks. "Angie, can you come here a second please? Ineed your help with something."
She looked at him expectantly, while he stood still in the hall. Shestepped next to him, peering around his shoulder for whatever he might needhelp with.
He smiled and instructed, "Look up."
Angie glanced above his head, and dropped her eyes back to his.
"It's a tradition to kiss someone standing beneath mistletoe. You're notgoing to leave me hanging are you? You never know, it might be bad luck orsomething. Christmas may cease to exist if you don't kiss me."
She shook her head, "You're transparent."
"Can't blame a man for trying."
She stretched herself on tip toes, leaning over the serving platter ofcarved foul.
His eyes close.
Her lips pressed in to his for the briefest of moments.
Noah groaned depreciatively. Would that be it?
His eyes popped back open in pleasant surprise when her lips met hisagain, this time for a lingering repeat.
She broke the kiss after the most enjoyable moment of his day.
