First Review of Tails of Wonder and Imagination
I'm delighted by the first review from Publishers Weekly:
Tails of Wonder and Imagination Edited by Ellen Datlow. Night Shade (www.nightshadebooks.com), $15.95 paper (480p) ISBN 978-1-59780-170-6
Few things alarm the experienced reader more than the prospect of a science fiction, fantasy, or mystery book that involves—or worse, fetishizes—cats. This reprint anthology is the exception, an assortment of 40 stories by authors who are for the most part willing to take cats on their own ground. Dat...

A Cthulhu Christmas, some gift suggestions—part three
My final post A Cthulhu Christmas, some gift suggestions—part three is by no means exhaustive. For example, you can get Lovecraftian stuffed critters here .

Just a heads up that I'm alive and busy
I've actually posted a few lines of status updates but haven't posted here for several days.
To catch up.
Over the weekend I was busy. I watched more Angel, along with Miss Pettigrew Lives For a Day, a charmer with Frances McDormand, Amy Adams, Lee Pace, and Ciarán Hinds. I loved it. What can I say?
Then I watched A New Kind of Love, a real dog of a movie that seemed to be an "homage" to the Rock Hudson/Doris Day movies of 1959-1963. This one was made in 1963 with Paul Newman and Joanne Woodw...

And yes, a review of Lovecraft Unbound
From Innsmouth Free Press .
The wrapup from Orrin Grey:
I could discuss individual stories all day, but to wrap up, Lovecraft Unbound is a fine and fascinating anthology full of very good stories, and it's well worth your time and attention, so long as you don't go into it expecting to find too many of the usual trappings of Mythos tales.

I'm home
I missed all the bad weather yesterday when my connecting flight was changed from Phillie to Charlotte, NC and arrived home the exact time I was originally supposed to. I left the hospital at noon for the airport and my dad was moved to rehab facility about five minutes drive from their condo, so it'll be easy for my mom to get there every day. I was told that he stood for the first time in the morning.
Last night and today I've been unpacking, catching up on email, regular mail, and catchi...
