Hi! I'm such a fan. I was wondering some things about the Darkling. Will we ever find out the name he gave up? What inspired his character? If he survived (which I think he will) are we going to see more sides to him? I feel like we've just scratched the s

Thank you so much for writing! I’m glad you enjoyed Shadow and Bone.

Yes, by trilogy’s end, you will learn the Darkling’s true name and a lot more about him. He was inspired by every goblin king, dark wizard, and troublesome gent I ever fell for (usually harder than for the hero).

Teasers… not sure when I’ll get to share, but I hope it will be soon. I try not to blab spoilers, but ooooh, it’s tempting. For now, there are a few clues on my Siege and Storm pinterest board.

Poster Mix Up + blog blog revolution

Hello, lovelies.

A bit of business to take care off.

APOLOGY: There was a mix up in packaging, so the first 50 people who ordered books through Andersons did not get their Grisha posters with their signed books. We’re shipping them out and they will arrive in the next couple of weeks. I just want to apologize for the delay and to thank you guys for helping to make the event such a huge success. This was the first time we did anything like this, so there were bound to be a few glitches, but I hate disappointing people. Again, so sorry for the delay and thanks for bearing with us.

TUMBLR: As you may have noticed, I’m transitioning from my old blog to tumblr. It’s just an easy way for me to update more frequently while I’m on the road. The content from the old blog will find a home somewhere on leighbardugo.com.

THANK YOU: I don’t know what I did to get so lucky, but I feel like I have the most talented, generous, awesome readers in the world. I can’t tell you what it means to hear from you guys and to see Grisha-inspired fan art, the gifs, the gorgeous jewelry. It just makes my little debut author heart so glad and grateful. I want to smoosh you all in the epic hug of all hugs. Surely the internet can figure out how to make this happen?

Okay, I’m off to pack for my trek to Europe. Between boots and toiletries, I’m fairly sure there will be no room for clothes. Should make for some interesting signings. Assuming I can get my phone and wifi to work abroad, you’ll be hearing all about it.
