The Big Ruin and Rising/ Poster/ Collector's Edition Post
Hellew! I’ve been getting a lot of questions about where and how to get what, so I’m going to try to explain it all here.
The Barnes & Noble Collector’s Edition of Ruin and Rising
* includes a Darkling prequel short story (about 30 pages long)
* is only available as hardcover. The Nook edition does NOT include the prequel.
* can be ordered online or purchased in Barnes & Noble stores
* is ONLY available through Barnes & Noble stores
* The prequel will NOT be available as an ebook or online. It will not be available in the UK or Canada in the immediate future. I don’t know if it will be available in other foreign territories. That depends on each foreign publisher.
The Poster/Bookplate/Visit Giveaway
* Order or pre-order ANY book in the series in any format (paperback, hardcover, ebook) from one of the sellers on this list and you will receive a poster and signed bookplate. This includes pre-orders of the Siege and Storm paperback.
* The posters and bookplates are ONLY available through these stores.
* Each Grisha trilogy book sold between 5/1 and 6/17 counts toward earning that store a visit from me before the end of the year.
* You can order online, over the phone, or just walk into the store. Some stores don’t offer online ordering, so you’ll have to check in with them to see where you want to buy.
* Most of these stores are happy to ship!
* We have listed the stores that are willing to ship internationally and they will ship the books, posters, and bookplates to you. It’s pricy, but I always get questions on this so we included the info :)
* I believe posters and goodies will be shipped at the time of ordering (except for pre-orders) but confirm with your store.
* The posters will not be available for sale anywhere. They cannot be purchased separately.
* If you buy three books, you should get three posters or bookplates, but this is only true while supplies last AND it’s really up to each individual store. So, please confirm with your store!
* One more important thing: There are sixty stores on the list. Each has its own policies and its own staff. You may have to call a couple of times or ask a couple of people to get your hands on official Grisha goodies. Be stalwart!
