A Few Bits of News
A couple advance editor's copies showed up at the house yesterday. And also, the Facebook page for "The Prince's New Pet" is up and you can "like" it here:

And there's a lot of new original art at the ebay shop. Swing by and see if there's something you like":
Also, the Conjurers' webiste will begin updating regularly soon. I'll be documenting the creation of the webcomic side of the story. It'll be lots of pics of the inside of my Moleskine all leading up to the comics launch later this year. And there will be bits of news on the novel side of things.

You Never Know…
You never know who might read the strip. This one made the rounds at the offices where the Fisher-Price music is composed. Glad they liked it.
Pin Up art by a genius!
Wow. Just wow. This gem was done by Denver Brubaker. I'm sure you've seen mention of his comic, "The Checkered Man", on here before. It's one of the strips that I love to read and then just stare at. Swing by his site and see what I mean:

Pop by the Pop Galaxy
I just discovered Pop Galaxy. I believe it comes under the WOWIO banner. The site features a podcast on making comics. It's seems to be only Top Cow creators and is relatively short (or at least the first episode is) but still, excellent production quality. Worth a visit:

Hoping I'm wrong about Green Lantern
Based on the initial trailer for the upcoming Green Lantern trailer, I was sadly sure it would bomb. It seemed campy and the characters were telling each other stuff they should've already known. Yah, it was a big sigh moment.
Buuuuuuuuuut, some new footage came out at WonderCon, and I must say, now, I'm sort of excited. I've never been a regular Lantern reader, yet the few times I've slipped into that universe I enjoyed it. It's a pure crossbreeding of science fiction and super hero fun. It never had the same emotional punch as Batman, but it was always fun. And it would seem, as evidenced by the new footage, the WB may (big may) have nailed it:
House for Sale
We're finally putting the house up for sale this weekend. Still lots of little odds an ends to do, but the big move feels real for the first time.

Crying over Spilt Super Hero Movies
Doug may very well be crying about this article here. Now, trust me, I'm just as giddy as any other fanboy over the prospects of a JLA movie. Buuuut, my fear is that the super hero movie bubble might bust…a little bit.
I do think Thor and Cap will rack up the clamshells at the box office, but based on the trailer, Green Lantern makes me nervous. Add to that Hollywoods short term memory condition that causes them to re-boot super hero flicks after each director's run. I mean really, how many Spidey origins movies do you want to sit through? And now of course, the rumor is that good ol' Bats will get the re-boot after Nolan departs. Imagine if DC and Marvel were stuck in an infinite loop of going back to the beginning on how all their heroes were spawned.
And quite frankly, I really don't want to sit through a JLA movie if the first two acts are the origins of every member.
