Here's what's on my mind today:Happy birthday, Hadley! My German shepherd-greyhound mix (my "shephound" as I call her) is turning six today! She's so sweet yet a terrific guard dog, and she's very loved.
Editing I'm editing for a client this week.The Imaginary Friend has a new cover! This little two-part short story has been around since 2011, and it was time for a new cover. So here it is. It's FREE, so if you haven't read it yet and you had an imaginary friend at one time, you should check it out here.
Field Day I'm helping out with field day at my daughter's school this Friday. It's always a fun event.Revising I'm hoping to revise one of my own books this week. We'll see what time permits.That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Here's what's on my mind today:Formatting I'm formatting a book for a client this week.Revising I'm revising a book I recently wrote. I have to fix some tense issues, which is always an issue when you switch tenses from one book to the next. I wrote one in past tense, and then I wrote this one in the present. I keep finding passages in past tense. Ugh! But, this is what revision is all about, right?Book Expo Thank you to everyone who came out to see Ayla and me on Saturday at the Monroe County Book Expo. We had a lot of fun. Yes, Ayla sold more books than I did, but that's okay. She's adorable and wrote two books by the age of 11. I'd buy her book over mine, too! ;)
I'm not including the picture of Ayla with her half of the table because I don't post pictures of her online. You can see her chalkboard and trading cards though!Editing I have a client edit on my plate this week.Ayla's presenting at a school board meeting I'll be attending the school board meeting tonight because Ayla was selected to do a presentation. Here's what's on my mind today:Monroe County Book Expo Both Ayla and I will be at the Monroe County Book Expo on Saturday from 10:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. If you're in the Monroe County area, stop by to say hi and grab some signed books.Drafting I'll be working on a novella this week thanks to an idea my editor sparked.Editing I just finished a client edit yesterday. I'll have some small edits to get finished this week.Final round of edits I sent my September release back to my editor for a final proofread. Here's what's on my mind today:Proofreading I'm proofreading a book I plan to release this fall. I do several rounds of proofreading, but this is my last one before ordering a print proof.Revising I have a novella coming out this summer, and I just got it back from my editor. I'll be diving into revisions later this week.Editing I have a few days off before my next edit comes in, so I'm focusing on my own books in the meantime.Scaling back I had originally planned to release a lot of books this year. I'm still going to be releasing quite a few, but I've decided to push some back to next year for my own sanity.Easter I'm almost ready for Easter. This holiday sort of snuck up on me this year since it's early.That's it for me. What's on your mind today?

Here's what's on my mind today:Late to post So, last week I was without power thanks to a snowstorm with extreme winds, which meant I couldn't post. This week, I just plain forgot until this morning.
