Monday Mishmash
It's Monday! Here's what's on my mind:
"Once More With Feeling" I watched this episode of Buffy the Vampire Slayer twice this weekend. It's a family favorite. We know all the songs by heart. Yes, I know it's cheesy but it's fun.Writing in the dark I've been doing this a lot lately. It seems I keep getting ideas in my sleep. I have to keep a notebook by my bed and jot them down in the dark.Middle grade fiction I'm looking for some recommendations for good middle grade fiction. I've been immersed in young adult fiction for months, and I really want to read a great MG novel--or six.New cars There's a very good chance I'll be getting a new car today. I'm going to be sad to say goodbye to my beautiful 2004 Mazda6 though. It's the first car I ever loved.Snow I've had enough. The six inches I woke up to were completely uninvited. That's my Monday Mishmash. What's on your mind?

SheWrites B&W Blogger Ball
Today, I'm participating in the Blogger Ball going on through SheWrites.com. So welcome all you SheWrites bloggers. Please feel free to look around while you're here. And let me welcome my wonderful followers as well. It's always nice to see you all.
Because of the Blogger Ball, I'm going to share some blogging tips I've learned.
Be consistent I have a set Monday, Wednesday, Friday blog schedule, and I try not to break that pattern so my visitors know when to stop by for a new post.Respond to comments Replying to the comments people leave on your blog is easy and doesn't take a lot of time. Get a conversation going with your readers so they'll come back again.Start a discussion I like to make sure my posts start discussions instead of being one-sided. I'll usually pose a question at the end of my posts to spark a discussion. Again, it's about starting a conversation with your readers.Keep it short People are more likely to read your post if it isn't too long. Get to the point and keep it brief.Visit other blogs If you want people to stop by your blog and even becoming followers, then you need to stop by other people's blogs and do the same. Those are my blogging tips. What are some of yours?

Monday Mishmash
It's Monday, and that means it's mishmash time! Here's what's on my mind on Monday morning:
Valentine's Day I celebrated yesterday because my husband is working and taking classes until late this evening. But Happy Valentine's Day to you!200+ followers! I realized this weekend that I have over 200 followers between Google Friend Connect and my VIP members. Welcome new members! Thank you to all my followers for spending time here and letting me get to know you.Critique groups I love my critique group. We've been celebrating a lot this past week because many of us have had good news and success with our writing. If you don't belong to a critique group you should definitely join one. If you are looking, check here . Letters I know texting and email have taken over, but my dad wrote me a letter the other day to tell me how proud he is of me. There was something about seeing his feelings in a letter that just made me cry and wish this form of communication would be used more often.Angels I'm reading my second angel book (TORMENT), and even though I didn't think I'd really get into books about angels, I totally am. I have a few others on my TBR list as well.
Well, that's my Monday Mishmash. What's yours? And remember, there are no rules. Feel free to share whatever's on your mind.
