My God It's Monday

It's also August. Summer is rushing along like it's got a hot date with Fall. I wonder who'd top? Summer is definitely the hotter of the two, and Fall clearly shaves, gets rid of that foilage so he looks his best. I'm guessing he's a switch, though, and Summer's the fiercer of the two.

I've got a new book, the first in a new series, coming out with Total E-Bound. Opening Moves is the first in the Chess series. It's about Knight, Bishop and Rook, and this guy they want in their lives -- Jason. It's mmmm, that is an all male foursome. I don't have a release date yet.

I'm thinking about my August newsletter and I'm also looking at Facebook, considering getting an account there. I'm editing hard this week, though, so I may not get a chance to really get to either of them.

The sale at Torquere Press ends tonight. The code is almost2011 for 15% off your order. My books are here.

I want some meat, some nice, thick, juicy meat. I'm talking steak of course!

Getting caught up on new releases.

I have two new releases to talk about!

On Wednesday the latest Hammer Club novel -- Drawn -- came out, and today my latest m/m/f S. Michael title -- In Their Sights -- is out!

Giles is an artist, a man who is intense and totally focused on his art. In fact, a lot of people including some of his own family, think he's a little bit crazy. Harrison meets the artist as Giles is running away from setting up a showing at a gallery, totally freaked out. Harrison is immediately intrigued. He doesn't think Giles is crazy, but he does believe that Giles needs someone like him, or more accurately, him, to help Giles focus on more than just his art.

Giles isn't exactly easy to convince that Harrison is the man to do the job, though. Oh, he likes Harrison well enough and the sex is wonderful, but this BDSM stuff Harrison talks about is just a game, right? And Giles is worried that all the time he's spending focussed on Harrison is damaging his art. After all, you have to suffer for your art, right?

Can Harrison convince him that Giles can have love, happiness and Harrison in his life as well as be a great artist or will Giles' worries about his artwork drive them apart for good?

Buy it here.

Lindsay and Tony are on a mission. They're looking for the litter-mates who were stolen from their pack when they were young, and they have their sights set on Drake, nightshift DJ. They're pretty sure he's one of their missing pack mates. There's only one snag. Drake doesn't even know he's a shifter, let alone that he's been stolen from anywhere.

Will Lindsay and Tony be able to convince Drake he's not just a shifter but their shifter? And will they be able to do it before the men who stole the kits in the first place catch up with them?

Buy it here.

I will be on [info] torquere_social today, talking about Drawn, upcoming releases and possibly doing prompts.

Happy Sunday

It's the last day to enter the contest for an ebook copy of Drawn (out on Wednesday) the latest Hammer novel. The details were in my July newsletter, which can be found here.

Torquere Press has a sale on. 'hot2011' is the code to get 15% off your whole order. The sale is good until Monday at midnight.

The hot weather has backed off a tiny bit today -- funny how a few weeks of crazy hot can make just hot not feel nearly so hot. Luckily beer does not need hot in order to taste good -- it does however need to be cold. ;)

BTW, regarding Rock's Top Ten Ways to Stay Cool and number one being a blow job from Rig -- this is probably number one on any top ten list compiled by Rock, regardless of the topic ;)

My God it's Monday!

Big storm here yesterday afternoon. Major wind, lots of trees lost branches (some even came all the way down) transformers were hit and there were lots of power outages, some lasting a few minutes, others for hours. I was lucky, it was only out for about forty five minutes at my place.

Working on a volleyball player and his trainer -- perfect for the season, lots of sand, sun and surf. And of course hot sex ;). Also working on a TA and a professor. And I have a couple of Hammer novels open, too. I'm gonna add a bit more to each one and then call it a day. There's a beer in the fridge with my name on it.

Both my publishers currently have summer sales running:

Changeling Press 10% off, the code is BeatTheHeat2011, and it's good until Wednesday.

Torquere Press 15% off, the code is xmasjul2011, and it's good until tonight at midnight.

Tomorrow I'll be on the Rainbow Studio blog. There will be a print book giveaway!

I'll end today with the blurbs for the two new books I have coming out at the end of July.

The next Hammer novel -- Drawn -- will be out July 27 from Torquere Press.

Giles is an artist. The man is intense and totally focussed on his art. In fact a lot of people, including some of his own family, think he's a little bit crazy. Harrison meets Giles as the man is running away from setting up a showing at a gallery, totally freaked out. Harrison is immediately intrigued. He doesn't think Giles is crazy, but he does believe that Giles needs someone like him, someone exactly him, actually, to help Giles focus on more than just his art.

Giles isn't exactly easy to convince that Harrison is the man to do the job, though. Oh, he likes Harrison well enough and the sex is wonderful, but this BDSM stuff Harrison talks about is just a game, right? Can Harrison convince him that Giles can have love, happiness and Harrison in his life as well as be a great artist or will Giles' worries about his artwork drive them apart for good?

And In Their Sights from Changeling is an S. Michael (so an m/mf) and it'll be available July 29

Flash Fiction Friday

Rigger looked at the clock, stretched, then started putting his paperwork in his briefcase. Rock should be heading home shortly -- it was the kid's late evening at the gym and he was thinking it might be time for a little personal training.

That made him chuckle.

Personal training.

The dogs went nuts and the front door opened and closed, Rock's voice low as he talked to the pups. Rig leaned back, grinned, waited to see whether Rock wanted him.

Rock's shadow blocked the doorway to his study a moment later. "There you are." Those blue eyes made him the center of the god damned universe.

He grinned over his desk, admiring the big man. "I am. Evening."

"Evening. You done working?"

"I am." He couldn't fight his grin.

"Good." Rock waved his fingers in a 'get over here' motion.

His brain considered playing hard to get, but his heart had his legs moving him over before his cock could point out how stupid that would be. One big hand landed on his ass as he got closer, dragging him in up against Rock's solid body.

"Mmm. Blue." Damn, muscles and muscles and they were all his.

Rock's mouth descended on his, the kiss hot and good and a very fine how do you do. Oh hell, yes. Rig arched into the kiss, sinking against pure muscle. The wide chest vibrated as Rock rumbled for him, the sound happy and right. Their tongues moved together, slipped together. God, his man tasted like heaven.

Their lips parted for a breath. "Now I'm fucking home." Rock's words rumbled between them.

"Uh-huh. Now bring me home."

Rock's other hand landed on his ass next to the first and Rock picked him up, carrying him down the hall to the bedroom.

Oh, fuck yes. Yes. Rig wrapped around Rock, held on tight. Rock kept kissing him, their progress slow but sure. Heat started building in his belly, in his balls.

They got to the bedroom and Rock put him down, coming with him. They rubbed together, Rock's cock hard beneath his jeans and pressing just right against his. Damn, that was hot. He bit at Rock's lips. More.

One big hand pushed between them, working at the buttons on their pants. Rig sucked in, which always made Rock chuckle.

"Oh yeah, thank God you did that." Rock grinned down at him, fingers brushing over his belly, over the tops of his pubes.

"Gotta get my fat belly out of the way."

"This? This is a skinny belly. When we're done here, I'm feeding you."

"Promise?" He leaned up, lips sliding on Rock's jaw.

"You fucking know it." Rock's fingers pushed his trousers off his hips.

Those thick fingers trailed over his skin, traced his cock, then his balls were cradled, cupped, rolled. Rock's mouth covered his again as one finger curled back to touch his hole. Fuck, yeah. He spread, one knee bending.

That finger slid right in and then disappeared, Rock leaning up past him to get the lube. Rig lifted his head, mouth finding one ringed nipple, even through the shirt.

Rock groaned for him, the sound music in his ears. "Get my fucking clothes off."

"Uh-huh." Look at that hot son of a bitch.

Rock pushed two fingers into him. "I'm not naked yet."

"Not..." His eyes crossed.

"Not naked." Rock's fingers sawed in and out.

"Fuck yes." He rocked, body rolling. A third finger pushed in. "Rock..." Oh, fuck him raw.

"Jeans, Rabbit. Now."

Right. Focus. He nodded, chin on his chest.

Rock chuckled and pegged his gland. Hard. His hands opened and he reached down, fighting to get the man's fly open. Rock didn't help him at all, fingers pushing into him and into him and into him.

"Can't think." He managed to get Rock's fly open, briefs shoved down enough to grab that hot cock.

Rock groaned for him, eyes dropping half-shut. "Fuck thinking."

"No. Fuck me. Fuck me, Blue."

Rock chuckled, fingers sliding away. "So fucking impatient."

"Uh-huh." His hand moved on Rock's prick, thumb working the ridge right under the head.

Rock made a noise and spread Rig's legs wide. Beautiful son of a bitch. Rig licked his lips, kept moving, up and down. Rock pushed against his hole and then surged into him.

He nodded, body arching as he took more in.

"Fuck yes." Rock started fucking him, good and hard, just like he wanted.

God, he needed this. The world went quiet and still, everything tight around his Rock. That thick cock kept stabbing into him, Rock a fucking machine. Rig settled into it, his fingers able to slide down, play at Rock's nipples, tug the ring. Each time he did, Rock thrust in harder.

"Fuck. Blue. Love your fucking cock."

"Uh-huh." His Rocketman gave him a wild grin.

He reached up, traced Rock's lips, even as he bore down on the cock inside him. Rock grabbed his finger between the hot lips, sucking on him as one big hand wrapped around his prick. His head fell back, everything getting that much higher.

Each slam into him came with a jerk of Rock's hand around his prick, each sensation bigger than the last.

"Fuck. Fuck. Fuck." He gasped, balls drawing up tight.

"Come on, Rabbit."

"Uh-huh." It was coming, barreling on him.

Rock squished him up a bit, mouth slamming down on his. Heat shot from him, leaving him wore out, shaken. Rock pushed in a couple more times before stilling, filling him inside.

Their mouths parted, Rock panting.

"H...hey." Damn. Yum.

Rock gave him a shit eating grin. "Happy weekend."

"It's a start to one, yes sir."

"Yep. We can celebrate again when the kid gets home."

"Oh, that's one hell of a plan. Let's shower and get the hot tub bubbling."

"You got it." Rock's mouth closed over his again.

Happy fucking weekend indeed.

Life as a Front Porch

Randy and Josh have worked hard to make a home together. They've been together a good while, plan to grow old together. So when Randy gets a job offer that will take them somewhere else, make them start over, it's a tough decision. But they have the one thing that will make any house they live in a home. Deep, abiding love.

Filled with all of the small details of an everyday love, along with the kind of heat only a longtime couple can generate, Life as a Front Porch proves that as long as you have each other, you can face any challenge.

there's an excerpt here

You can buy it here.

This is an oldie but a goodie. I really enjoyed writing this one. It's also got the distinction of having, I think, the weirdest title of all my books. The thing is, titles are hard. Occasionally the title will be easy to come up with. Once in a blue moon, I will come up with the title first. But on the whole, titles are hard. When I finally came up with this one, it just seemed perfect for the story and for the couple, Randy and Josh. So in the end, weird or not, I'm very happy with the title of this one.

I've got a busy day tomorrow. I'm participating in The Romance Studio's release party and I'm posting on the Romance for the Rest of Us blog.
