Legally Become Invisible And Stop Government Spying

If you are serious���and I mean serious���about protecting your privacy in an age when threats to privacy have never been greater, then I want to recommend an ebook that you absolutely must read: It���s called The Patriot Privacy Kit, and it is essentially a user���s manual for those who wish to do all they reasonably can (and there���s a LOT you can do) to secure their personal information while still remaining a participant in ���regular��� society.
What particularly impressed me about this book is how comprehensive it is. Too often, ebook offerings like this have the tendency to overpromise and under-deliver, but not this one; The Patriot Privacy Kit covers every aspect of privacy intrusion you will face today as a citizen. Beyond that, what I found to be equally as impressive was the specificity of the advice provided; this is not just a broad overview of a wide variety of different privacy topics, but a ���nuts and bolts��� guide that assists with helping you to maximize your privacy efforts in each topic area discussed ��� what I particularly appreciated was seeing the large number of direct links in the book to things like private search engines, anti-hacker sites, router protection firmware, email encryption services, as well as to a bunch of other protection-oriented sites and programs.
I also benefitted from the step-by-step instructions provided on behalf of a number of the areas discussed, to include numerous screenshots of those steps being illustrated ��� that kind of detail can be of tremendous help, particularly to the person who is not an Internet ���expert.���

The broad list of topics covered is solid, and includes such areas as how to protect yourself from NSA spy efforts, how to secure your computer hardware and software platforms, how to be a good steward of your all-important passwords, and how to use email more securely (a subject too few of us think to consider). That, however, isn���t all ��� not even close. The book also looks at what you need to know to be safe as a regular user of social media, including the ubiquitous Facebook. Want more? The Patriot Privacy Kit has it, including information on how to secure your sensitive information offline, which is something I talk about constantly ��� did you know that most identity theft, even in this day and age, occurs due to the theft of key personal information in a physical form, like unsecured or improperly disposed-of documents?
The Patriot Privacy Kit even has a highly-informative section for those people looking to go ���all the way��� in their online privacy protection efforts, showing how one can disappear from cyberspace while still roaming it!
As I mentioned earlier, while an avid consumer of this kind of information, I have come to expect that books about it will usually be OK, but not great���but that is not the case with The Patriot Privacy Kit; it is comprehensive and detailed���packed with useful information for anyone serious about tightening up his or her personal information security. Something else I want to mention, in closing, is how well written and edited the book is; oftentimes, ebooks like these, even if they DO contain some good information, will be tough to get through because of how poorly constructed they are ��� not the case here. I expect to refer to The Patriot Privacy Kit regularly as I endeavor to do a better job of limiting access to my personal information, and, if you pick up a copy for yourself, I trust you will do the same. Documentary Blows The Lid Off Government Spying
I thought I had heard everything on the issue of government spying, but an online documentary I just ran across puts it all in context. It is really sad and amazing to see how far this country has strayed from what our founders intended. It seems like much of this spying operation is based out of Fort Gordon in Augusta, GA.

As a side note, I have been looking for a book or manual that deals with the whole issue of Internet privacy and how to stop this government spying (as much as is possible). This video does an incredible job of exposing the problem, and the creator of the video also offers a manual on practical steps anyone can take to protect their privacy. The strategies offered can protect you from hackers and other invasions of privacy as well. I also bought the book as I was unable to find anything like this on Amazon.

Tampa Pastor Arrested For Cargo Theft
Channel 8 News in Tampa is reporting that an area pastor has been arrested for cargo theft. Alexander Nealy was arrested for allegedly stealing merchandise that was to be delivered to retail stores throughout the state of Florida. Interestingly enough, Nealy is also a former police officer. The investigation began several weeks ago when Macy's reported the loss of merchandise that was to be delivered to its Winter Haven location.
Nealy, along with accomplices, is accused of stealing $668,00 of merchandise from trucks they were hired to drive.

NYSE Blackout Is Clear Warning For Americans

One need look no further than what happened earlier this week with the technological ���glitches��� and shutdowns and at a few of America���s most iconic business establishments to understand that the greatest threat from outside forces to the nation���comes in the form of their abilities to compromise the Internet and energy infrastructures of the United States.
In a matter of just a few hours on Wednesday, July 8, United Airlines, The Wall Street Journal, and the New York Stock Exchange were each stopped cold in their respective tracks; UA was forced to ground their entire fleet while a ���network connectivity issue��� was addressed, while trading at the NYSE was halted for over two hours at what is typically the height of the trading day. As for The Wall Street Journal, its website went down at basically the same time the NYSE stopped trading, and the financial news giant cited the generic ���technical difficulties��� excuse as the reason for the failure.

While the Department of Homeland Security went on the record to say that none of the interruptions in service were caused by any sort of cyber attacks, the highly coincidental timing of each of these iconic American business enterprises going down is making a lot of people very suspicious. Still, even if the aforementioned problems were the result of garden-variety technical issues that just happened to occur at the same time, we are again reminded at just how vulnerable we are should America���s technological infrastructures, to include its energy grid, come under actual, coordinated attack.
According to the Department of Homeland Security���s Computer Emergency Readiness Team, there were 79 hacking incidents at U.S. energy companies during fiscal year 2014. Although energy companies now maintain significant cybersecurity counter-threat specialists, the overriding vulnerability to the energy industry is the dated technologies and structures that remain in place, and upgrades are rarely engineered because implementing them would require interrupting service.
This means that we will continue to be���maybe forever���under the gun when it comes to not only protecting ourselves as a nation from these kinds of attacks, but protecting ourselves individually, should a major attack on the energy grid, or other similar, key system, succeed.

The State Of Texas Wants Its Gold Back

You might wonder why a state like Texas would keep its gold reserves in New York for safekeeping to begin with, but, however much sense the idea has made, historically, that has all changed: on the heels of legislative action, Texas��� gold bars���valued at about $650 million���are going to be making their way back to the Lone Star state.
The movement to bring Texas��� gold back home picked up steam with state���s previous administration, under former governor (and current GOP presidential candidate) Rick Perry, who felt that Texas could do every bit as good a job of protecting its precious assets as the Federal Reserve (although, technically, the Texas gold has actually been housed at the underground vault of HSBC Bank, adjacent to the Federal Reserve depository).
The only hitch in the plan is that Texas���which is the only U.S. state to own its own reserve of gold bars���has yet to build an actual facility for safeguarding the gold bars. The ���Texas Bullion Depository��� is the name of the yet-to-be-built safe house, but exists in name only, which means the brain trust in Texas will have to figure out this not-so-minor detail first, before any actual transfer can occur.
One of the ���aside��� conversations taking place alongside the issue of the gold���s return is that this move is one more step toward Texas ultimately deciding to secede from the rest of the country. Given Texas��� maverick reputation, it���s certainly understandable why some would ponder the connection, but, for now, it���s reasonable to assume that this move is simply about Texas wanting Texas assets within its own, direct purview.

Subway Spokesman Jared Fogle's Home Raided By FBI
Well, he became famous 15 years ago for sharing with the world that he lost more than 200 pounds by eating Subway sandwiches. News reports are that Jared Fogle's Zionsville, Indiana home is being swarmed by federal agents today. What we know at this point is that there is a federal investigation and the target may not be Fogle. Several sources are reporting that the raid is focused on an associate that worked for Fogle's foundation. Former executive director of the Jared Foundation, Russell Taylor, was arrested on child pornography charges in April.
The website The Richest.Com reports Fogle's net worth to be $15 million dollars. Pictured below is Fogle's home (source: Google Maps Street View). The 6,175 square foot home has four bedrooms and six bathrooms. Zillow.com puts a value on the home of nearly $600,000.
