Travelling With A Gun Across State Lines
By Robert G. Yetman, Jr.
As a gun owner, it is incumbent upon you to remain very aware of the laws that pertain to the possession of firearms in each state to which you travel. The simple fact is that gun laws are not the same from state to statenot even close; as a result, it is easy to be an unwitting law-breaker when you take your lawfully-owned and carried firearm from one state into another state.
You may remember reading a while back about the case of Shaneen Allen, a Philadelphia mother of two who faced jail time in New Jersey for merely possessing the firearm she was authorized by Pennsylvania to have. Allen had previously been robbed twice while leaving work, and so purchased a gun, and also obtained a license to carry. When she told a NJ state trooper during a traffic stop that she had both the gun and PA-issued concealed carry permit on her person, she was arrested for violating New Jerseys firearms laws. The prosecutor of Atlantic County sought to make an example of her, and she was facing several years in jail. It was only after a public outcry ensued in her defense that the prosecutor backed off and Allen was able to avoid imprisonment.
My suggestion to avoiding this kind of trouble is for all gun owners to keep handy a convenient reference guide that informs them as to the relevant laws of all fifty states. To that end, I highly recommend the Travelers Guide to the Firearm Laws of the Fifty States. This is a terrific, 8 x 11 physical book written by J. Scott Kappas, a Kentucky-based attorney who also operates a firearms business. The Travelers Guide provides a wealth of information on this subject, information that answers all of the questions you will have as a gun-carrying traveler to other states, including:
Which states allow me to carry a loaded firearm in the passenger compartment of my vehicle?
Which states allow me to carry a concealed firearm with or without a license to carry?
Which states honor my permit to carry a concealed firearm?
Which states laws allow open carry of a firearm while on foot?
Which states prohibit the mere possession of a handgun while in a vehicle?
Which states allow me to carry a firearm in their state parks?
How can I transport firearms on commercial airline, cruise ships & trains?
How can I transport firearms through a state that prohibits any gun possession?
The Travelers Guide to the Firearm laws of the Fifty States provides the answers to these questions, and so much more. The bottom line is that if you are a gun owner, this book is a must-have if you ever expect to travel outside of your home state; I highly recommend it. To order your copy, click here.
Note: This is not an E-Book, it is a physical bound book that you will receive by mail.

Buying Christmas Gifts For 90% Off Retail
A few months back I wrote an article about a tremendous new website called Snagshout. In my prior article I detailed how Snagshout works, but I wanted to post a quick update here with a focus on Christmas gift giving. In a nutshell, Snagshout offers products at huge discounts in exchange for the promise of an honest review of the product on Amazon (no, you are not required to write a positive review). I have already grabbed eight products this way (and at ridiculous discounts). I received an e mail yesterday from Snagshout suggesting the idea of using their site as a source of Christmas gifts. I had not even thought about it from that angle, but this morning I have already grabbed an item that I will be giving as a Christmas gift. I picked up this survival knife this morning for $5.60 (regular price of $38.98). The crazy thing is that it also came with free shipping since I am an Amazon Prime member (the final step of the purchase redirects you to Amazon.com with a coupon code that provides the discount).
This is a great concept, and you will find a wide variety of items and at fantastic discounts - all in exchange for writing a review.

How To Prevent Holiday Identity Theft
By Robert G. Yetman, Jr. Editor At Large
I stumbled across this article related to ID theft, and wanted to share it with you. Now that the 2015 holiday shopping season is upon us, and Cyber Monday just a few days away, it is a good time, once again, to address the matter of identity theft.
The article is not long, and what I particularly like about it is that it discusses protecting oneself against unwanted online intrusion from the standpoint of mindset, rather than specific tactics. Dont get me wrongthe specific, mechanical measures you take to protect yourself are important, of course, but perhaps even more important is your overall approach to keeping yourself safe online.
One of the great points made in the article is that you have little to fear in the way of trouble if youre smart about how you go about your business online. In other words, you dont have to avoid going online altogether to drastically lower your risk of ID theft you just have to keep your head about you.
One of the key pieces of advice here is to make data privacy an attitude, rather than a one-time checklist. Bingo. Yes, the specific steps you take to better-secure yourself are important, but unless your overall posture prioritizes self-protection, chances are you wont actually take any of those steps.
As for those specific steps, a resource you should certainly find helpful is an ebook called The Patriot Privacy Kit. It provides a wealth of useful information on how to stay safe online, including how to secure your computer hardware and software platforms, how to be a good steward of your all-important passwords, and how to use email more securely. This ebook also looks at what you need to know to be safe as a regular user of social media, including the ubiquitous Facebook, and also includes great information on how to secure your sensitive information offline (even in this Internet age, most ID theft still takes place that way, from the compromise of documents in a physical form). Something else - The Patriot Privacy Kit comes with a fantastic money-back guarantee, which means you can read and use the information through and throughand if youre still not satisfied, you can get all of your money back, with no fuss. How great is that?
Stay safe this shopping season, as well as during all other seasons. Change your outlook, and get serious with both your strategy and tactics. If you want to learn more about The Patriot Privacy Kit, Click Here.

Smartest Christmas Gift Of The Season
This year I consider the smartest holiday purchase to be a smart TV. You may already be familiar with my ongoing campaign to show people how to drop cable TV and replace it with free and low cost Internet TV. To grab my free report on how to do this, here is your link - how to drop cable TV. To implement my strategy, you will need either a Roku or an Amazon Fire TV box. There is an exception to this, however, and this is where the smart TV idea comes in. So called smart TVs have the ability to connect to the Internet directly (providing access to a wide variety of third party viewing options -without cable TV). So, if you are in the market for a new television, you might as well buy one with this technology already built in. The reality is that if you drop cable, the TV will pay for itself in probably just two or three months. So, this is a fantastic guilt-free purchase to make this holiday season (you have my blessing)!
These smart TVs can be purchased for under $200 with free shipping from Amazon. Here is a link to the best smart TV deals presently available on Amazon.

Secret Amazon Cyber Monday Deals - Up To 70% Discounts
While everyone is out battling the crowds at the mall, you can sit home and tap into what I consider to be the best source of Cyber Monday deals. These are deals you will not likely read about anywhere else. My best Cyber Monday shopping tip is to check out the Amazon Warehouse. The truth is that most people have never heard of the Amazon warehouse, and even fewer would consider it a source of deals on Black Friday. Think of it as Amazon's clearance rack, mostly comprised of open box items (and also slightly used merchandise as well). All items can be returned if you are not satisfied after receiving them. Also, just as with the regular Amazon site, you will find free Prime shipping available on a large percentage of the products. While I don't have any details, it appears that Amazon will also be adding additional discounts for Cyber Monday as well.
I have bought so many items from the Amazon Warehouse, and I have never returned one. In fact, it is my routine that I always search the Amazon Warehouse first before I check the prices on their main site. If you are also interested in following Amazon's regular Cyber Monday deals, here is the best link to do that.
Happy Thanksgiving!

13 Airline Passengers Recently Enter U.S. from Mexico and Bypass Customs
By Robert G. Yetman, Jr. Editor At Large
Amid enormous, worldwide concerns over the threat of ISIS, several passengers on a recent flight from Mexico to John F. Kennedy Airport in New York City were able to skip past required customs and security screenings upon their entry into the United States, due to an undefined mix-up at the gate.
A total of 13 people out of the 76 passengers and six crewmembers on board American Airlines Flight 1671 from Cancun were inadvertently directed to the domestic terminal area, with some eventually leaving the airport altogether without being properly checked.
Although it is believed that all of the passengers who missed the customs and related checks upon reentry are cooperating with American Airlines in returning to JFK to complete the required screenings, the incident highlights the importance for the country to maintain the strictest posture when it comes to the security of the nation; in this case, it does not appear anyone was engaged in any nefarious activity, and that this was simply a case of simple human error. Thats the point, however. Human error will remain a part of all we do, despite our best intentions, so its incumbent upon us to make certain that our intentions remain as sober and earnest as possible, so that any and all failings are kept to the absolute minimum.

Laquan McDonald Video
Chicago is on edge tonight as a police dashcam video is being released of the shooting of Laquan McDonald. McDonald, a 17 year old black teen, was fatally shot by Chicago Police officer Jason Van Dyke on October 20, 2014. McDonald was reportedly behaving erratically and wielding a knife when Officer Van Dyke arrived on the scene. Prosecutors say Van Dyke shot McDonald a total of 16 times. The officer has been charged with murder and is being held without bail awaiting trial. Chicago officials are expecting riots upon the release of the video this evening.
