For Millennials, Words of Marx More Agreeable Than Those from Bible

More good news about the younger generation.

Christian Post is reporting on the results of a new poll conducted jointly by YouGov and the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation that reveal statements of seminal communist figure Karl Marx enjoy more support from American millennials than do Biblical declarations about the importance of work in establishing ones right to eat.

Screenshot (32)

Specifically, when asked if they agree with Marxs statement that From each according to his abilities, to each according to his need, 64 percent of millennials said, yes, but when asked if they agree with the Biblical expression that if any would not work, neither should he eat, millennials agreed with that sentiment only to the tune of 53 percent.

Perhaps even more disturbing is other information from the poll that reveals some millennials think more people died at the hands of George W. Bush than Joseph Stalin, as well as that only 37 percent of millennials hold a very unfavorable opinion of communism, in comparison to 57 percent of Americans, overall.

(An aside: Only 57 percent of all Americans see communism as very unfavorable? Talk about feeling doomed)

In a statement on the poll results, Marion Smith, executive director of the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation, said, One of the concerns the Victims of Communism Memorial Foundation has had since its establishment is that an emerging generation of Americans have little understanding of the collectivist system and its dark history. Unfortunately, this report, which we intend to release on an annual basis, confirms this worrisome impression.

Former Assistant FBI Director: The Clintons are a Crime Family

In reporting by The Hill, James Kallstrom, the former assistant director of the FBI, minced no words this past Sunday in a radio interview when he flat-out referred to the Clintons as a crime family.

Screenshot (31)

Appearing as a guest on the CATS Roundtable radio show, hosted by Greek-American billionaire John Catsimatidis, Kallstrom said, in part, The Clintons, thats a crime family, basically. Its like organized crime. I mean the Clinton Foundation is a cesspool.

This from a former assistant FBI director, no less.

As you can tell, Kallstrom is no typical government stooge. Despite his previous, high-ranking administrative position, Kallstroms background is that of a salt of the earth military and law enforcement operative. In addition to his 27 years at the FBI, which included running the investigation into New York organized crime that eventually produced the Mafia Commission Trial of 1985-1986, Kallstrom is a former captain in the Marine Corps who served in Vietnam.

He is, in other words, a serious man.

In his Sunday radio appearance, Kallstrom also laid into Attorney General Loretta Lynch, accusing her of standing in the way of a real investigation into the private server issue, saying, The problem here is this investigation was never a real investigation. Thats the problem. They never had a grand jury empanelled, and the reason they never had a grand jury empanelled, Im sure, is Loretta Lynch would not go along with that.

Kallstrom confirmed, as well, that current agents are beyond upset with how the Hillary email scandal has been handled by agency brass, saying that they are furious with whats going on, I know that for a fact.

Evolution vs. Creation - The Evolution Delusion Author Dr. Bo Kirkwood

The Evolution Delusion demonstrates that not everyone who opposes evolution is an uneducated religious fanatic. Dr. Kirkwood examines evolution from a scientific perspective to show that evolution is not based on the scientific method; rather it is a philosophy accepted by men who have rejected God's revelation and excluded the possibility of the miraculous. The evolutionary theory conflicts with many scientific facts. The presuppositions assumed by evolutionary theory are mathematically so improbable that only a rabid faith in the theory would cause one to continue to defend it. After showing the weaknesses of the evolutionary theory, Dr. Kirkwood looks at the Biblical alternative - creation.

Billionaire Entrepreneur Peter Thiel: 'What Trump Represents isn't Crazy and It's Not Going Away'

Peter Thiel, the billionaire tech entrepreneur who has gone very much against the grain of his peers in his outspoken support for Donald Trump, reiterated his enthusiasm for the Republican nominee for president in remarks made at the National Press Club in Washington on Monday, and did so by saying the kinds of things near and dear to the hearts of Trumps legion of everyman supporters.

Screenshot (29)

As quoted over at CNBC.com, Thiel declared, in part, No matter what happens in this election, what Trump represents isn't crazy and it's not going away. He points toward a new Republican Party beyond the dogmas of Reaganism. He points even beyond the remaking of one party to a new American politics that overcomes denial, rejects bubble thinking and reckons with reality.

When the distracting spectacles of this election season are forgotten and the history of our time is written, the only important question will be whether or not that new politics came too late.

Echoing the themes of Trumps largely-populist agenda, Thiel also said, Just as much as it's about making America great, Trump's agenda is about making America a normal country. A normal country doesn't have a half-trillion-dollar trade deficit.

A normal country doesn't fight five simultaneous undeclared wars. In a normal country, the government actually does its job.
Thiel made it clear that in order to see the current path reversedhe is willing to support a candidate who is admittedly covered in warts, but who also manages to get things right with the broad strokes:

I don't agree with everything Donald Trump has said and done and I don't think the millions of other people voting for him do, either.

It's not a lack of judgment that leads Americans to vote for Trump; we're voting for Trump because we judge the leadership of our country to have failed.

With Sales Tanking, Bud Light Dumps Ads Featuring Leftist Celebrities Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen

Apparently, it took a significant drop in sales to convince the folks at Bud Light of something most of us could have told them at the outset: When you hire outspoken leftists to promote a very American brand of beer, and, further, theme your commercials around social justice narratives, Americans will stop buying it.

Screenshot (28)

Reporting from Fox News is informing us that Anheuser-Busch InBev has decided to bring an early end to the Bud Light advertising campaign featuring comedians Amy Schumer and Seth Rogen.

Here is what Bud Light senior director of marketing communications Lisa Weser told the advertising trade publication AdWeek about the decision:

Despite continued positive signs in brand health evolution, driven by millennials and Hispanics, [the third quarter] was the softest performance of Bud Light for the year from a volume and share perspective. The Bud Light Party campaign helped us improve these brand attributes, but it did not translate to improved volume and share performance. While we are clearly not satisfied with Bud Lights performance, we are already leveraging what weve learned to develop and execute new work.

One of the ads featuring Schumer and Rogen, entitled Equal Pay, was the subject of a particularly acute public backlash. In the ad, which took an overt swipe at the supposed gender pay gap, the comedians address the issue by pointing out that Bud Light costs the same, whether you're a dude or a lady. The negative reaction from the public was so strong that YouTube comments on the video were disabled.

Beyond the problematic themes of the commercial spots themselves which clearly didnt help was surely the choice of Schumer and Rogen to pitch the brew in the first place. Neither celebrity has been at all shy about public displays of their liberal ideologies, with Rogen going as far as to tweet an expletive at former Republican candidate for president Ben Carson last October. As for Schumer, her leftist politics have been evident in a variety of ways throughout the years, and she is a particularly strong proponent of gun control, like her cousin, Sen. Chuck Schumer of New York.

Given that Bud Light is a uniquely American brand of beer, it seems odd for Anheuser-Busch InBev to have thought it wise to build an ad campaign around two personalities who have been so critical of so much that IS Americanbut they did it, anyway.

Now theyre undoing it.

Is the Election the Biggest Threat to Stock Market Stability Right Now?

An article over at CNBC.com is pointing out that as influential as an upcoming meeting of the Federal Reserve will be to the performance of the stock market over the shorter term, that the strength of the political winds blowing in the final days of the 2016 presidential campaign could well be what knocks the market from its moorings for some time to come.

2016-10-31_13-07-48

The stock market has been looking forward to both a Hillary Clinton win, and the Republican retention of the House of Representatives, for some time. The stock market, delicate beast that it is, does not like it when one partyregardless of which party it ishas control over both the executive and legislative branches of government. Thats because the stock market has great affection for gridlock, politically speaking. The market appreciates it when there are no sweeping changes, no mandates, because big changes tend to be more than the market can bear. When one party is in full control of the government, it means their grand political plans will go forward, and markets are just not comfortable with the degree of change that often ensues in such circumstances.

As noted, the market seemed rather comfortable with where things were headed until a few days ago, when Hillary seemed to be motoring to the Oval Office and Republicans were going to maintain control of the House. In the view of the markets, that would be a good thing, because the pushing and pulling on each side would leave the net result of any attempted changes at something more modest.

However, the revelations that we might not be finished just yet with Hillary and the email scandal are now throwing things out of whack. A win by the anti-trade Trump, and Republican maintenance of control over Congress, could see what some are calling a Brexit-like response in the markets.

On the other hand, if Hillary wins and the Democrats manage to take over Congress, then the tax-and-spend agenda of that party, as well as its desire to institute even more regulations on business, would also upset the markets greatly for an extended period.

For the markets, then, a Clinton White House and Republican Congressor, at least, a Republican House of Representativesis most desirable. Anything else could spell trouble for investors, according to observers.

Watergate Reporting Legend Carl Bernstein: New Hillary Email Evidence Must Be a Real Bombshell

At this writing, we dont know just what it is, exactly, that has renewed the FBIs interest in the Hillary Clinton email scandal, but, according to one legend of investigative journalism, it has to be awfully big to prompt all of this activity so close to the presidential election.

2016-10-31_12-14-49

As reported by Townhall.com, Carl Bernstein, the man who, along with fellow reporter Bob Woodward, basically chronicled the events of the Watergate scandal in a way that saw the downfall of Richard Nixon, told Brooke Baldwin of CNN that whatever the agency it has, it must be a bombshell.

Bernstein said, in part, Well, there's no question that the e-mails have always been the greatest threat to her candidacy for president, that her conduct in regard to the e-mails is really indefensible and if there was going to be more information that came out, it was the one thing, as I said on the air last night, actually that could really perhaps affect this election.

We don't know what this means yet except that it's a real bombshell. And it is unthinkable that the Director of the FBI would take this action lightly, that he would put this letter forth to the Congress of the United States saying there is more information out there about classified e-mails and call it to the attention of congress unless it was something requiring serious investigation. So that's where we are...

Bernstein, hardly a conservative, has previously referred to Clintons handling of the email mess as indefensible, and, in particular, her willingness to lie about it.

How To Boost Your Credit Score With Lending Circles

One of the big challenges many face on the road to building (or rebuilding) good credit is establishing credit in the first place. If you have no credit history, it may be tough to get that first credit card or loan. It is even harder to get a second chance in the world of credit if you have had bad credit in the past (especially a bankruptcy or a foreclosure). The good news is, however, that bad credit does not have to follow you for the rest of your life. You can take steps to rebuild new, positive, credit and a healthy credit score.

We have discussed the concept of secured credit cards as an excellent option for rebuilding credit. Another tried and true method is taking out a loan at a local bank or credit union and utilizing a savings account or certificate of deposit as collateral (making it a no risk proposition for the bank).

I have navigated the world of credit both personally and professionally. A book I co-authored, Credit Scoring Secrets, continues to be a bestseller at Amazon. Even after going bankrupt (and losing my home to foreclosure) as a result of my accountant embezzling nearly two million dollars from me, today I am proud to have a credit score of over 800. Using secured loans and credit cards does work... I have seen it work hundreds of times (including in my own journey of credit restoration).

Lending Circles - A New Way To Boost Your Credit Score

The concept of lending circles is not new. In fact, it is very popular throughout the world and has only recently found its way into our culture here in the U.S. The idea is that a group of individuals get together and agree to participate in a circle of lending (hence the name lending circles). Each participant in a circle agrees to make a monthly payment. Participants take turns receiving the proceeds of a zero interest rate loan which is funded by the other members of their circle. The loan amounts are typically small, and are repaid over the course of a year or less. The lending circles are organized and administered by the non-profit Mission Asset Fund, based in San Francisco. You can find out if an affiliated lending circle program is available in your area by simply doing a search on their website using your zip code.

How Lending Circles Boost Your Credit Score

Unlike an informal loan among friends, Lending Circles report participants' payment history to the major credit bureaus. This means that despite a non-existent, or even bad credit history, making new on-time payments within a lending circle will quickly get your credit score moving in the right direction.
