In Wake of His Bizarre, Pro-Hillary TV Appearance, William Weld is Crushed by Libertarians
I recently wrote in this space about the (very) odd appearance Libertarian Party vice presidential nominee William Weld made several days ago on MSNBC with Rachel Maddow. Despite his own supposed candidacy with top ticket-mate Gary Johnson, Weld spent most of his time with Maddow crowing about what a wonderful person Hillary Clinton is, and, when he was not doing that, highlighted the fact that he and Johnson dont necessarily agree a whole lot.
Well, since that appearance, Weld has been getting an earful from the party faithful.
According to Reason.com, Weld, appearing at a rally in Memphis, Tenn. on Thursday, was savaged by none other than his own warm-up speaker, Cole Ebel, who proclaimed, Bill Weldwe do not endorse Hillary Clinton or her foreign policies!"
Embarrassingly, Weld felt compelled to say during his own speech later that just so the record is clear everybody, I endorse Gary Johnson for president of the United States.
Things got worse. There was a Q&A session with audience members following Welds speech, and one person, a fellow named Chad Chaderson, said, I enthusiastically supported Governor Johnson back in 2012, but after watching you perpetually defend and support Hillary Clinton I just wanted to say you're the reason why I'm not voting Libertarian this time, and I'm sick of it. So screw you. SCREW YOU!
Well, ouch.
Additionally, the Libertarian Party of Rhode Island (LPRI) dropped its support for a Weld rally that was to be held Friday in Providence. The groups official statement read, in part:
The Libertarian Party of Rhode Island proudly espouses the fundamental Libertarian principles of maximum freedom and minimum government, said LPRI Chairman Pat Ford. That's why it is particularly disturbing for us to witness the national Libertarian Party vice presidential nominee wage a quixotic campaign in support of a presidential candidate not his party's candidate whose personal and political philosophy are completely incompatible with fundamental Libertarian principles.
Weld, long a big-government, liberal Republican of the Rockefeller variety, struck many, including me, as a curious choice to represent the Libertarian Party at any level.
Apparently theyre all seeing that now, just a handful of days before the election.
Talk about great timing.

Blackwater Founder Erik Prince: NYPD Ready to Make Weiner Arrests, but DOJ Stands in the Way
According to Erik Prince, the founder of the legendary private military company Blackwater, his contacts at the New York City Police Department have informed him that although theyve been ready to make arrests in connection with the ongoing investigation into Anthony Weiner, the department has found itself dealing with what amounts to obstruction from the Justice Department in their efforts to make it happen.
Prince, who also happens to be a former Navy SEAL, said in an interview with Breitbart News Daily on Sirius XM radio that the NYPD wanted to do a press conference announcing the warrants and the additional arrests they were making, but that the cops were having to deal with huge pushback from the DOJ in their efforts.
As Prince put it to host Alex Marlow, in the course of investigating Weiners sexting shenanigans, the NYPD secured a warrant that permitted a search of his laptop, and discovered a mountain of emails that had implications far more ominous than those associated with his prurient activities. As Prince puts it, the volume and scope of various criminal behaviors suggested by the email find took the NYPD aback, and, keeping a copy of the communications for their own reference, they passed the information along to the FBI. Prince says that is what really prompted Comey to reopen the investigation; reportedly, the NYPD told the FBI that they were to revisit the email scandal, or the department would open its own investigation into the matter, to the extent allowed by law, jurisdictional boundaries, and other relevant considerations.
They found State Department emails, Prince said. They found a lot of other really damning criminal information, including money laundering, including the fact that Hillary went to this sex island with convicted pedophile Jeffrey Epstein. Bill Clinton went there more than 20 times. Hillary Clinton went there at least six times.
Prince said, as well, that the amount of garbage that they found in these emails, of criminal activity by Hillary, by her immediate circle, and even by other Democratic members of Congress was so disgusting they gave it to the FBI, and they said, Were going to go public with this if you dont reopen the investigation and you dont do the right thing with timely indictments.
Prince pointed out in the interview that the FBI is not empowered to bring charges, and that it is the Justice Departments responsibility to do so.
However, said, Prince, The Justice Department is trying to run out the clock, to elect Hillary Clinton, to prevent any real justice from being done.

Drug-Resistant Diseases Now a Growing Threat to Modern America
Drug-resistant ailments continue to rear their very ugly heads in an America that, not long ago, had essentially eradicated any serious threats posed by infectious diseases from within its own populations.
One of the latest pieces of bad news in this realm comes courtesy of USA Today, which informs us of a report just released by the Centers for Disease Control that details the deaths of four hospital patients at the hands of a fungus that is presently resistant to drugs.
The fungus, Candida auris, was first discovered in Japan back in 2009, and, sure enough, has been steadily spreading throughout the world since that time. Medical professionals have already had their hands full for the last several years with a great many infections that have proven themselves impervious to antibiotics, but this latest challenge comes in the form of a fungus that is essentially brand new.
Thomas Frieden, director of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), speaking about this latest danger, said, We need to act now to better understand, contain and stop the spread of this drug-resistant fungus. This is an emerging threat, and we need to protect vulnerable patients and others.
The threats to our health and welfare posed by new breeds of infectious diseases, as well as highly-virulent strains of old ones, are only getting worse. Add to this the fact that many of these people are contracting these deadly ailments while they are in the hospital.
Consider these developments, as well, in terms of the degree to which we will all be left to fend for ourselves for extended periods should societal conditions continue to deteriorate.
This is why, with all that is going on around us in an increasingly-unstable world, you must be prepared to administer first aidreal first aidto yourself and those around you, and a great resource for getting you up to speed to that end is a comprehensive book called Survival MD.
Heres just a small sample of the highly-useful information to be found inside of Survival MD:

Walmart TV Ad Highlights Prayer
A new Walmart television ad that aired during Game 7 of the World Series seems to have taken a lot of people by very pleasant surprise.
The ad features prayer as a central focus. When the commercial begins, it shows families gathered at their tables, with a voice that asks, Please bow your heads.
The ad then cycles through moments of children and adults of different races, in different places, expressing thanks for what they have in their lives. The spot also pays tribute to members of the military, as well, by featuring the portrayal of service members as people giving and receiving thanks for one another.
As expected, some have criticized the ad as being nothing more than a marketing ploy. Certainly, marketing is an underlying motivation of the presentation, because I think marketing is always going to be a component of any TV commercial produced by a major corporation.
That said, Walmart can make any kind of commercial it wants, theming it on anything, and yet this is the direction in which it chose to go in front of an enormous audience. In an era when Target stores defiantly open gender-neutral bathrooms, and so many of Americas other businesses are deferring to political correctness at every turn, it is difficult not to appreciate, at least in some small way, a company the size and stature of Walmart appearing to embrace ideals from which so much of corporate America is presently running.

Washington State: Inmates Will No Longer Be Referred to As Offenders or Convicts
Political correctness clearly has no boundaries.
Now, it matters what convicted, incarcerated criminals think about how it is to which they are referred.
According to reporting by KOMO, the state of Washington will no longer be referring to those in prison as offenders, convicts, or even as prisoners.
Nope.
Instead, they will now be called, at worst, incarcerated persons. However, if inmates (I am permitting myself to use that word, if it is OK with all of you) happen to be in some sort of class while they are in prison, then they will be called students. If they happen to be laid up in the prison infirmary, they will be known as patients.
The change comes at the order of a memo from Richard Morgan, Secretary of Corrections. Morgans spokesman, Jeremy Barclay, said, Secretary of Corrections Richard Morgan has put out a memo to staff requesting the alternation of vocabulary.
According to Barclay, it is of great importance to Secretary Morgan that any negative implications or connotations associated with the manner in which incarcerated persons are addressedare erased.
The Department of Corrections says the change is being made not only for the benefit of the prisoners (here I go again, using a pejorative), but for their families, as well. Speaking about the perceived struggles faced by families with respect to this issue, spokesman Barclay said, When they enter a facility to visit their loved ones, theyre referred to as offender families, instead of a family just coming to visit a loved one.
Are we living on Mars now, and I just didnt get the message?

More American Seniors Headed to the Plastic Surgeon
As advances in medicine and nutrition continue to turn back the clock on the physical aging of our bodies, so, too, has there been amazing progress when it comes to the preservation of youthful appearance. Plenty of people, men and women, keep the scalpels in motion and the cash registers ringing at the offices of plastic surgeons all around the country nowadays, and, as it turns out, its no longer just the (relatively) young who wish to look even younger.
It is seniors, as well.
The Washington Post reports that, according to the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, people age 65 and older are flocking to see their local cosmetic surgeons. As a matter of fact, the number of 65-plus seniors who are paying for facelifts and cosmetic eyelid procedures has doubled in the last couple of decades, and, perhaps more revealing, a good deal of that increase has come in just the last five years.
The Post article attributes the trend to a variety of factors, including greater societal acceptance of elective surgery, as well as the fact that many cosmetic procedures cost much less nowadays; it is believed that lower prices have helped to open the floodgates of a pent-up demand for cosmetic surgery that was previously stifled due to prohibitive costs.
Also, as divorce is now solidly woven into the fabric of American life, more parents and grandparents are a presence in the dating scene, and that, too, is driving many in older demographics to want to look younger and better.
Still another reason for all of the interest in cosmetic procedures among seniors, and perhaps the most compelling one of all, is that, as more people find themselves needing to work longer - and, in some cases, are forced to forgo retirement altogether many see the effort at looking younger to be tantamount to a fight for economic survival. Ageism in the workplace is still rampant, despite the growing numbers of older people showing up there each day, and more people than ever before are desperate to do whatever they can to prevent from looking out of place in company environments ruled by people decades younger than themselves.

As Concerns over Clinton Mount, So Do Google Searches of How Do I Change My Vote?
Yes, you can vote early.
And in six states, you can change your early vote and get a do-over on Election Day.
As it turns out, in the wake of the latest movements of the Hillary email scandal, there appears to be a great deal of interest on the part of many Americans in doing that very thing.
Republican nominee Donald Trump has not been shy about encouraging early voters whove already cast their ballots for Clinton to go about the process of changing their votes where possible. In the immediate wake of the latest email dustup purportedly involving Clinton, Anthony Weiner, and Huma Abedin, Trump sent out a tweet on Wednesday that shouted, You can change your vote in six states. So, now that you see that Hillary was a big mistake, change your vote to MAKE AMERICA GREAT AGAIN!
Actually, it is possible to change an early vote in as many as seven states.
While the rules are by no means uniform, with each of the seven having their own very specific guidelines as to when and under what circumstances votes cast before Election Day may be changed, the states where there exists at least the legitimate possibility of a voter formally changing his or her mind are: Connecticut, Michigan, Minnesota, Mississippi, New York, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin.
At least a little bit of proof positive as to the fact that many seem to at least be considering a change in vote comes in the form of data from Google Trends, which can attest that searches for the phrase how do I change my vote? have increased by 600 percent during the last week. The states from which most of these queries are coming are Florida, Arizona, Wisconsin, Louisiana, and Tennessee (which means most of those people are out of luck).
Still, even if a lot of early votes dont end up being changed from Clinton to Trump, the fact that there is so much prospective interest in the idea doesnt bode well for the Democratic nominee. On that note, the results of a recent ABC News/Washington Post poll reveal that while Clinton is ahead of Trump, 54-41, among those who cast their ballots before the announcement was made that the email investigation was being reopened, the same survey found that Trump is leading Hillary by a margin of 50-39 with those who plan to cast their ballots on Election Day.

Clinton E Mails Mysteriously Vanish From National Archives
ChristianMoney.com Staff Reporting
WikiLeaks is reporting via its Twitter Account that a 2 terrabyte drive containing Clinton White House e mails is missing, and presumed stolen, from the National Archives. Details are yet unknown, but the story is a reminder of the infamous Sandy Berger incident. Berger, National Security Advisor for Bill Clinton, pleaded guilty in 2005 to a misdemeanor charge of unauthorized removal and retention of classified material from the National Archives in Washington.
Tom DeLay: Comey Reopened Hillary Investigation Because Hundreds of Agents Threatened to Quit
Yesterday, I mentioned that former assistant FBI director James Kallstrom told a radio interviewer recently he knew for a fact that FBI agents were very upset over the way the agencys investigation into the email server scandal was handled the first time around.
Well, as it turns out, it may well be the case that the disappointment and anger felt by these agents was a major reason as to why James Comey reopened the Hillary Clinton investigation as he has.
Appearing on Tuesdays edition of The Steve Malzberg Show on Newsmax TV, former House Majority Leader Tom DeLay said that nearly 100 agents threatened to resign before the general election next week if FBI Director James Comey did not reopen the investigation into Hillary and her emails. Assuming this is true, it sheds light on the reason for the apparent change of heart exhibited by Comey in reentering the email fray at all, particularly given the political beating he was certain to take.
A few weeks ago, almost 100 agents were threatening Comey that they were going to resign and that kind of pressure is what turned him around, said DeLay. It wasn't Comey or his integrity.
I know he made a huge mistake when he indicted Clinton though not indicting her but now he's trying to turn that around.
He had to do it now or have all these FBI agents resign. That would have probably been a bigger story than what Comey did.
He got the pressure. He got the notice.
In further describing the role agents had in forcing the reopening of the investigation, DeLay said, The investigation, he (Comey) said it was closed, but as far as those FBI agents were concerned, it wasn't closed.
They were going forward, because they knew that they had to come up with some new information or some new evidence in order to get Comey to open up particularly when he has this kind of pressure coming from his own agents.
Pretty stunning stuff, to say the least.

Libertarian VP Candidate Weld: Hillary Clinton a Person of High Moral Character
Ive been telling you for some time that this latest batch of Libertarian Party candidates are Democrat globalists dressed up as libertarian oddballs, and are not real libertarian oddballs.
Now there is even more proof to that effect.
Appearing last night on MSNBCs The Rachel Maddow Show, Libertarian Party vice presidential candidate William Weld didnt merely defend Hillary Clinton; he announced that the entire reason he was there at all was to champion her cause.
Lets forget, for a moment, about the fact that Weld and his running mate at the top of the Libertarian Party ticket, Gary Johnson, are themselves supposed to be trying to replace Barack Obama and Joe Biden - is it really possible that a former Republican and now (ostensibly) Libertarian politician is vouching for the integrity of Hillary Clinton?
Apparently so.
In fact, thats just what he said to Maddow, at one point:
Well Im here vouching for Mrs. Clinton and I think its high time somebody did, and Im doing it based on my personal experience with her and I think she deserves to have people vouch for her other than members of the Democratic National Committee, so Im here to do that.
Welds complimentary tone of Clinton, in fact, characterized his entire visit to the Maddow set. He also said that she would be a very business-like and capable and competent approach [sic] to our affairs.
As you might expect, the backlash from Libertarian Party supporters to Welds appearance has been fierce, with practically all of them objecting to Welds near-endorsement of Hillary on the grounds that it is, well, Hillary, in addition to the fact that such talk is obviously disloyal to the Libertarian Partys run for the White House this year.
